- Edit: Based on the timer rules the community decided, the timer stops when picking up the coin, so the time for this run is 1:24.950 (verified)
Previous outdated description: At this moment, there is not a consensus as to when the timer should start and stop, as far as I know. I decided to start it when I get control of the character (at around 0:03) and end it when I hit the trampoline after the birds and lose control of the character (at around 1:18), giving me a time of around 1:15. But I left the final section in case it ends up counting. Anyway, there's a few time loses in this run. At the start, it's possible to get to the trampoline spawned by the bird before the bell shock-waves reach you, but I was too slow so I needed to jump over the shock-waves losing a small amount of time. Most obviously, there's a bigger time loss in the cubes section since I couldn't get to the first trampoline and I missed a cycle. When that happens, it's important to keep running in a circle to maintain the running speed.

I choked at the final shooting bird section. It hurts so much because it was only a few attempts in. It took many tries later to finally reach the ending.

Well done, mate! Just cleared this level and platinumed astro today myself, but your run is WAY more impressive.
Took me a lot of attempts, but I'll stand by splashing sprint being the hardest level in the game.
Splashing Sprint was hard, but not as long and varied as this level
Splashing sprint was weird to me. I've seen a lot of people saying it's the hardest, and thinking back I believe it took me about as many attempts as the Great Master Challenge. But for some reason I don't remember it as a hard level, even if it took me a while to beat.

It took me more attempts to complete splashing sprint than the master one.
It took me about 2 dozen attempts to clear splashing sprint. I'm on 2 days with this brutal hard level and still have not beaten it......
Is that the one where you have to cool the lava with the duck?
If so that level is completely BS. Worst part of the game by far!

@qais_z that's an excellent time! If you want to improve your time further, I recommend looking at the speedrun.com leaderboard and watching the top runs for this specific level, as by now, they are a lot faster than mine. See if they do anything differently and try to copy their lines/paths. That said, you don't need to do that. Your time is already very good, and if you're satisfied, that's all that matters. Speedruning is as competitive as you want it to be
@ yes thats what I just do, thats the first Time ever I really lock in in a speedrun lol. I progress for like 1 seconds but theres some jump I dont Success. Sorry for the bad english, am French.
@qais_z Some jumps can be very precise. It takes many tries to get a super clean run. Also, your English is fine, don't worry about it!

That sounds fun, but sadly I'm assuming it's impossible as many platforms disappear once you're past them. You can see this at around 0:20, the platforms with the bell enemies are no longer there
@@Saixga I found this out myself a couple hours ago. I got all the way back to those platforms from the end, but they’re gone. Hoping the game patches that or some exploit is discovered to respawn them.
How do you access this level I can’t find it
If I remember correctly, you need to have collected all puzzle pieces and at least 300 bots to unlock this level

How do you jump/stay in the air so long?
Hold the jump button to do a longer jump. Press and hold it again for the laser hover. You can also punch while in the air to give you a bit more air time
Frustrating has hell !! I give up my last trophy for this shit... Too hard.
