I primarily watch Syntac for Ark, and have been for 5 years or so. I also like Mr. Meola for more crazy wild ark modded playthroughs. TeachersGameToo is a popular channel for "how to..." type videos. There are a few other very popular Ark youtubers who primarily do PvE and Singleplayer style gameplay as well. I like to diversify to get more base building inspiration.
It'd be really nice if Wild Card updated the Queen Bee to have it so drones passively fly around active hives. Not only would it be a nice bit of immersion, but it'd also make it a LOT easier to notice a hive. (Furthermore, they should also update the Titanomyrma so that they make hills that they gather around and defend, instead of being random enemies that lifelessly idle until a player gets too close) Edit: 23:30 Yes, blue zone creatures have always been able to spawn in the green zone around "the Edge". I built near the northern most part of the Edge (specifically, a little bit west of it) in SE and would find Megalosaurus there.

@@hunterwilliams719 That’s not how it’s supposed to work. Time should go faster or slower depending on what cycle it’s on. But day and night should still kick in at the same in game time. At least that’s how it always used to work.
You seemed to put the Tap on the tree behind the one you cut back to being beside, it was the first tree you came across as you travelled towards that Scenic Spike you then Cosmo'd to...
Regarding the blue zone creatures in the green zone: If you're right on the edge of the zones, especially in that area above the fall into the drake trench, there is some overlap in the creature spawns. I've seen Giganto, Megalosaurus, Arthro, and Titanoboa there. For the gas collector, I noticed back in ASE that you'll see the explosion if the collector is full. Not sure if it's just a visual bug or if it actually suffocates the player, though.
I mentioned that spot of red gems on the last(?) video! That's new! We always build our base in the area just below those gems, and they were def not in ASE. It was super handy to get us started on our Rad zone prep. There's also a cluster or two in the Biolume, mixed among the blue gems.
Use Right click to harvest with the bear, makes a huge difference. Pretty sure there are no Bee hives on rocks or the ground on this map any more only on the redwoods. I found 4 of them, they were all immune to C4 and Ders Dino finder detects them if you get really close to them so you probably had bees but it couldn't see them. The bear will harvest trees better than you :) Yes she is supposed to be lvl 1. They were lvl 1 on the center. Bees are mostly in the center of the green zone, all on trees. Tame an Angler and make the old base yor water base for silica pearls if you need tons. I'm told in your discord that those red gems are new. Yeah there is a slight overlap on zone spawns and fyi that includes Drakes. You can pick up the Rat with the Krab but all he harvests is plants and not trees. Could call It Stuart, or DangerMouse. The Kark Reduces stone weight and the Dodi stops at 50%.
Syntac, pyromanes spawn on the map so be super careful. If you could tame one and give it to Jimbob, he's having a difficult time (including Axe finding his body and doing whatever to it lol). They are op, but seriously, Jimbob needs a friend. Even a raptor would help. He's naked and afraid, lost everything (he does have a shinehorn but that may be lost too).
I FINALLY TAMED A BEE YESTERDAY WHY ARE THEY RARE TO FIND AND WHY DO I HAVE TO BASICALLY BE ONE WITH THE BEES IN ORDER TO FEED IT I HAD TO GET SO CLOSE I COULD HAVE FUSED WITH IT JUST TO FEED IT😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I want to say that's a spot that was in ASE that will spawn both Green and Blue zone creatures. It's near the border of the area. I remember getting a surprise attack from a Megalosaurus that I wasn't expecting when I played Ab way back when it first came out.
tbh, i don't believe saddle dura actually doing something in the beginning was a bug. i believe they genuinly wanted to change that and the backlash was just too much. so they called it a bug, since everyone would believe it anyways.
Wouldn't doubt it, and I still have saddles losing durability as well. They don't ever break but it's annoying as hell cause they look all cracked and scuffed up just like armor does and the only way to fix that is to repair them u.u;;
Never knew... it's weird, is that's intentional, like a hidden treasure? Because it kinda defeats the purpose of progression, green, blue and red biomes, and their matching crystals.

I don't know what was done with abberation but even I have had to dino wipe my center game because the area I am built in, for the past 3 days has had 0 dinos on the island. Which when we started had tons then slowly petered down to nothing, not even dodos.
25:08 this little stutter where you get stuck in nothing irritates me it happens so often to me luckily I’ve never died because of it but it’s been close wish they’d fix this
I’ve never found a bee hive in asa, every queen bee has been free flying. Nothing like getting stung off your mount by a random wild bee you aren’t even messing with:
I've actually done an Aberration playthrough on ASE somewhat recently and I discovered that there's an issue where beehives will always despawn when the server restarts. It's possible ASA has the same issue.
Hey Syntac, i know you are probably pretty far along on the base build but if you are looking for a better location in nearly the same area Check out 42.5x34.5 roughly and at about the same elevation as the current ledge. there are 4 charge stations several Plant Z and 2 gas vents in the area, as well as pools of Water inside the 'Tree'. One of the few high elevation areas with pools of water. I realize at this point in time its probably not practical to move, but just thought I would mention that spot just incase... =)
Even in ASE that edge under spine right above red zone element lake can spawn blue zone creatures and also nameless.Its nice spot to get in early game Anky/Dung beetle or Megalo.
Bees are the kind of creature you find when you don’t need but when you finally want honey you don’t find them. I had seen/ been attacked by them 3 times before actually getting everything needed to tame a bee or collect honey with a bear. Spent a couple hours looking until I gave up then 30 mins i later I found a bee hive outside my base.
Roly the Roll rat. Hives are so darned hard to see in this game for sure....Still trying to get rid of the invisible inventory bug even after uninstalling and reinstalling all updated mods that I have (they worked together).
OK I'm not going to do the thing but this i day 2 of telling Syntac there's an indicator above his character stats for harvest-able resources and it looks like a shovel and another tool

if you struggle with finding the traits, you can always view the amount of weight reduction in dododex. rollrats have 80% reduction so yours is normal. BTW could you pls list your mods list for not just ab but especcially the center
Found mine just wandering around . Basically the same way scorched had them in the canyon just flying around without a hive in the beginning of its release. I do want to know why can we build cliff platforms yet we can’t use tree platforms on the redwood trees? I know ase had it that way but why does asa still have that issue?
I actually installed the exact same dino tracker for the exact same reason 😆. Only in my case they actually were spawning, I just couldn't find any because the redwood trees on the center are so damn big that I didn't know where to check

I had the same no spawning problem on my map but with ankys, I searched and killed everything in sight in the blue area for a little over 2 hrs and 0 ankys. do a dino wipe and 3 spawn in like 2 mins

Axe goes through the whole cave and and gets no cave drops. Syntac just peeks inside the entrance and immediately finds great loot.

There is a mod for the Ants and it is crazy detailed. They do all kinds of stuff once tamed.

Bees have always been level 1. (or so, I thought. I checked an old save on ark evolved. Syntac corrected me as well.)

Use r.MaterialQuality 0 command. May have typed it wrong but that's the only thing that helps me locate bases and certain small creatures
Also very good command to run caves when your scared lol.
Not rare, atleast on my server, there is hardly a redwood on the west side of the lake that *doesnt* have a hive on it, or queen roaming.

Keep an eye out for Dimetrodons. They'll help hatch the Rock Drake eggs, instead of making a dozen air contitioners.

The place you tamed the roll rat, on my PvE server it usually has many rock drakes and arthro too. That’s where I got my dung beetles for easy oil.

They don’t spawn In the green zone most of the time but that edge ur at 24:20 spawns blue zone creatures and east zone 3 ramp down to blue zone
I believe the Queen Bees have always been level 1, even in ASE. It's been a while since I've gone after a Queen Bee, though, especially in ASE.

seems from my experience they are only around the fertile lake and only on the thick redwood trees. took me 4 days to find one

I like how you install dino tracker, but you can simply list your dinos through console command "cheat listdinos" .. good to know for the future

I know I'm late but bees are lvl 5 before tame and lvl 7 with kibble so it's probably the lvl 1 glitch.

I havent seen any hives but when I first started the map I came across 3 bees that were hiveless.
