There’s also the term “Durophagous”. Durophages are specifically adapted for breaking hard shells of clams, crustaceans, arthropods, or anything else that’s crunchy.

For cosmo you want high level, the higher the lvl the more web charge you have for swinging mode whereas for shooter mode there’s a stat you can Increase to raise capacity. Also I find cosmo all over the place over near portal area

yeah but its not that deep. I really understand and I am with you on this one but still the content creators don't really mind it a lot. Like even if they tell axeman it's still a really good skit for the series. my point is that it doesn't ruin the fun but it's really annoying.
I did it with hazard suit instead of lampray. It was pretty nerve wrecking as Cosmo is pretty hard learning curve to use. It's also a really long way up back to green zone. Practice before trying.One thing to do is when gliding you must undo the glide before using web or else it won't allow you to reel in(you would be gliding and using web at same time not allowing to reel web) then glide to let the webs recharge the rinse and repeat.
Bob's tall tales kinda broke the flyer restriction with the air ships and the cosmo, but even in the base game the yi ling has also basically given you a discount flyer, even just the addition of the aberrant megalania has shaken transportation up a bit. The meta has definitely changed, but I honestly don't think it's a bad thing, the only genuine flyer is unlocked in the 90s and it's basically a craftable quetzal, so it's not like anybody's going to be traversing the map on it, and the cosmo and yi ling both have unique mechanics with a learning curve, I think this is actually going to be really fun
I could be wrong but when Axe was using Cosmo, he didn't take fall damage after running out of webs though I'm not sure if it's just reduced fall damage🤔 Edit: nvm, he took fall damage while panicking to get a green drop🙃
something to note about the cosmo. if you right click you will shoot a short web that yanks you in the direction you are pointing which can put you close enough to swing. it will cost 2 webs. pressing space at the end of your swing will launch you off the web, but it also costs 2 charges. its also a great way to get rock drake eggs, but i strongly encourage you to find places to rest and recharge your webs regularly. I prefer to have 40+ but that requires a cosmo around level 200
When Syntac said that he sat really close to the screen.. It reminded me of sitting really close to an old TV from the 90s. When I was a kid, the N64/ controller cord never seemed long enough so we would sit on the floor be really close to the screen haha XD
So i just recently found this out, but Cosmos actually like the narcotic mushrooms as a taming food as well! They prefer it slightly more than chitin, though plant Z seeds seem to still be their absolute favorite!
Im so happy that cosmos grapple is literally just the grapple from Last Oasis. That game has the best grappling system of any game ever but it went the way of many smaller snail games games. Im happy to see that the grappling system from it seems to have been added to ark. While there are similarities to the Atlas grapple it has its differences and I would definitely say its closer to the Last Oasis one.
Builds fake house. Puts bed in fake house. Logs off in fake house. Keeps tames at fake house. Keeps boat at fake house. Sets off for missions from fake house. Threatens to build big structures at fake house. Maybe is more house than fake.
so Syntac using spacebar with the cosmo attached to the wall lets you lounch urself a bit but it uses extra web to do that. so when ur swinging and want to get higher you should really just let go and re grapple than using spacebar as with that you can get into situations where you dont have enough webs and fall to ur death. but also you can use the web dash quickly to try and get out of the water as it lets you grapple sometimes when ur just high enough but you quickly sink again to
Just a heads up, Melee damage is the stat that controls the web capacity. It takes a couple levels to notice the difference, but leveling melee DOES work

The ravaged bleed I believe is only when they have the pack bonus. I could be misremembering, but I’m pretty sure they need the pack bonus and just can’t bleed when alone.
Hey Syn! I am by no means an expert with these things at all but the cosmo seems to have really weird interactions with momentum and the web jump/zip (pressing the jump while web is attached). If you keep web jumping in the direction you are traveling then you can get going REALLY fast. It is also super useful to change direction fast or even gain some quick hight to escape trouble. Just know that web jumping does consume some of the web charges so you can run out quick! I always start my swinging trips with a quick 45 degree web jump to get me off the ground and moving fast. Thanks for another fantastic video!
I wonder if the cosmo and bloodstalker have the same momentum in their webs but because of the bloodstalker being kinda big and being in third person you don’t notice it. Meanwhile in first person with the cosmo you really notice how fast your going
@@TragikDino That is definitely possible! It just seems like if I chain together the web jumps I go faster and faster covering crazy distance. Like, you hardly have to swing at all, you can just use the webs to super jump across the map lol.

Moving during Cosmos red phase taming does not reset the taming just lowers it. Evident in Axe's video, just one more feed Axe, just one more feed. Also they "remade" Fairly Odd Parents. Just like they "remade" Scooby-Doo..
Cosmo is awesome with parachutes since you get webs back while your hovering. Also if you look down and web somewhere inder you it resets your web boost.
As far as traits go, I have a few tames that do more damage the more they attack, some that do more damage the more their health depletes. I have a raptor pack with both of those traits and they just rip and tear through everything.
Cosmos are so precious that it hurts. There really needs to be an option to allow it to mount on its dirt mound and dance while idle at my base. It sounds it makes tug at my heartstrings.
You don't take fall damage for a few seconds after disconnecting the web. If you are falling from a huge height, shooting the ground before you hit (or a wall on the way down) will give you the no fall damage buff.
In theroy if you had a shoulder pet with 3 Tier 3 basic resource weight reduction traits the weight would be reduced by 90% then further reduced by 50% in your inventory making your character would be able to carry insane amounts of resources. Thats sounds OP!
The reality of web swinging is that you would really hurt yourself or worse. The farther you fall the more weight you have to catch, even if that weight is on your arm. You survive by slowing your speed to a stop, not abruptly stopping l.

Imagine this games developers adding avatar mutations. With mutations you can get the abilities of dinos, with ocean creatures you can get underwater breathing and some degree of physical boost in water or you can grow wings out of your back when you get mutation of flying type. But this addition will cost money and it will be expensive if they add it..
I would recommend you start taming and breeding Karkinos in one of your Aberration series since they are now breedable and you can hopefully get some color mutations. P.S., Megalanias are also available in Aberration Ascended
Awesome video, and congrats on your Cosmo tame :), they eat berry seeds, and can breed, the babies are adorable and tiny though a bit annoying to hatch mine kept saying Too Hot got a air condition to hatch them. A friend told me you need another ravager to get the bleed effect unless they changed it in ASA. When you change to shooter mode you can press Ctrl for a whip attack. Edit - you could call it poof :D

Aberration can be played as a platformer with the cosmo, glider suit, climbing picks. And of course you also have parachutes.
There is metal up on a ridge via a vine in Lat 27.5, long 50.3. Not a lot, but enough to avoid blue for a while.

I remember always being able to use grappling hooks except for around the drake eggs I vividly remember using graplings in the glow tail artifact cave

Try slinging yourself up with webbing, parachute(to a lesser degree glider wings) and then use climbing picks. Moving like a pro!

I'm quite positive you don't take fall damage after letting go of your web. Just be careful of tapping something and continuing to fall
You can increase its web capacity by upgrading its stamina/charge capacity, it doesnt go up by much though

not a fan of spiders but the cosmo is way too cute, also seems to have a fun taming method for a passive tame
You could name her Daiquiri (another type of cocktail since Cosmo is short for Cosmopolitan)
You can bleed with a tamed Ravager. You just need a pack of 2 or more and only the alpha can bleed!

If you unload the cosmo in your inventory you can get 20 arrows and then equip him to your arm and re-do you get infinite arrows

Cosmos taming won't reset if you mess up, that 105 reset because yours was attacking from your shoulder
Web capacity increases with melee damage, but it takes a lot of melee damage for a single point.
Its levels in general, I haven’t put a single point into my Cosmos melee yet the webs still increase every so often
