After watching both vids, it seems civil has actually beat gray out, funny enough because grays game would just crash before he could add anymore tracks
A long time ago in roller coaster tycoon 3, I made a ride that took days to do a lap. It was a train that went all the way around the park at the slowest speed possible. People on the ride would be complaining about wanting to get off, wanting to go home, being hungry, thirsty, needing the bathroom, needing to rest. Guests had the option to not ride the train when they first enter the park. "Option 2" was to ride the super intense roller coaster, which had it's exit not connected to the park entrance but instead to another roller coaster. And that ride's exit only connected to another's queue, and so on. Each ride lessening in intensity until they had been on every option 2 ride in the park, the last ride's exit being connected to the park entrance. I'd also done something similar in zoo tycoon 2 with the jeep stations. Creating a few islands of path at the corners of the zoo with stations connecting them and have most exhibits only viewable from those islands. So if a guest buys one ride, they have to buy them all in order to escape.
RCE - New physics challenge/test- Make a flume, however fast you want, make the guests launch into the air and land in a pool. Bonus points for elevation on the landing pool (if possible). Also bonus points for # of coasters jumped across the park (jump the "shark").
this just reminds me of the irl action park, fittingly nicknamed "class action park" because of all the injuries and deaths from the fact that the guy who made them wasn't actually an engineer, and he just liked the idea of things like a loop the loop slide, physics be damned.
I absolutely love games that allow you to do silly things. You can very much play the game properly and follow all the rules, or make it super silly, sliding into 100s of cacti.
Nailed it on the Ride To Happiness connection. This is a new style of spinning coaster from Mack that has a eddy brake under the spinning portion to slow the spinning. This is in contrast to earlier more free spinning wild mouse designs. So far Mack had inly built two of these and they're both well loved.
Developers love sponsoring maniacs like yourself cause y'all are motivated to go to the extremes and push the games to it limits so basically you become free QA tester
Pretty sure sponsorship costs the publisher money in some way, they just get QA Testing bundled in with Advertising and it saves on a few hours of liaison time. A win for everyone, except the guy they pay hourly for QA Testing...
You should've made the spinning coaster simply accelerate on a straight path untill it reaches a certain velocity and then at the end make a super hard turn, allowing the momentum to violently spin the individual spinners 😂😂😂
11:40 Honestly, you could make some sort of fire/water display like this. Just attach scenery and effects to a ride you’re not going to use for its intended purpose and have fun!
I have to say I am so surprised you haven't checked out FTL: faster than light yet, it seems totally up your alley, you even get to merk some architects in it!
Well done, Matt! Very well done! My park has been vacant ever since I started, because I refuse to comply with the regulations of keeping the riders alive. I have even trapped the park patrons at the entrance of the rides by removing the paths back to the park entrance, and left them there for 4 or 5 days... They were miserable but mostly alive. I think a few died from starvation. Alas. At least you have a soul and tried to make the rides less... lethal. Heheh.. (remembers the enema-ride) I think I'm gonna have to see if I can make somethng similar now. Keep up the fantastic work!
Can you play more planet coaster 2 btw rce? Its one of my favourite games!!! And also its been two weeks😢 Dont take offence😂😂 Love the daily videos and keep it up!!!!
You know, the first waterslide, if it ended in a huge slip-n-slide, could actually be a fun ride. But of course, once an engineer gets ahold of it, you know horror will ensue. You know what would make a coaster really nauseating, instead of the cars tilting with the track they stay upright. Every dip would feel like the floor was dropping out from underneath you.
You should make a Gauntlet of Pain where the paths are just one large loop from one ride to the next, each one getting worse and the attendees only option is to keep moving forwards to get out. Name the Park Life...
@@RealCivilEngineerGaminghmmm there are 6 possible reasons 5 of them would get you arrested 1 editor is food 2 editor gets thrown into architect jail 3 he gets no food for a bit 4 he’s fired with no severance 5 they are on the toilet for a week because of taco bell 6 he got a pay cut
The funny part is that if we take the unit of measurement being the same between the distance and the average speed. This roller coaster will actually take 46,550.9 hours, which is 1,939.6 days, or 5.3 years to complete.
it'd only take that long if it was 2.2 METERS an hour but its measured in miles an hour. 2.2 meters an hour is 0.00136702 miles an hour so it does actually take 29 hours not 5.3 years
Generally, when it comes to excitement and nausea, the game determines how guests react by calculating the _average,_ not the peak. So, if you have a ride with a vomit inducing nightmare section and then the ride is over and that's all there is, you'll get a lot of vomit. But if you have that same nightmare section and then a longer, gentler track segment leading back to the station, you're giving guests an opportunity to cool back down before leaving the ride. Ironically, by trying to stretch out your rides with more and more vomit-inducers, increasing the ride length only served to _reduce_ your overall nausea rating. Short and violent is the way to go.
You should make it to where people have to ride the coaster to exit the park and set the rides off every second so you can have 12,000 people on the ride at a single time.
Let's game it out would be proud

When I saw you adding the fire decals I was thinking, 'oh did they remove the fire physics? that's more matt's style'

Launch sequence activated.
You should add 1 janitor to clean the vomit. That would be hell. Cleaning vomit for 12k people all day long endlessly.
Pay better be on point if that's the case.

You should make it to where people have to ride the coaster to exit the park and set the rides off every second so you can have 12,000 people on the ride at a single time.
