About the inheritance for the Rhyniognathas, I haven't done any testing myself, but from this video it appears that the Carch colors are being passed to the rhynios. The carch seemed to give region 2 and 3 to both rhynios, and region 4 to the second one. (ignore the fact it's reading these as video stamps, they're color regions as seen from the soul ball) carch colors - 0:29 *2:36* *3:28* *4:59* 5:5 1st Rhynio colors - 0:67 *2:36* *3:28* 4:585:28 2nd Rhynio colors - 0:74 *2:36* *3:28* *4:59* 5:49
This is for players who haven’t ascended in gen2 and haven’t unlocked the Tek mech, useful for moving items around your base or to carry huge tames similar to the Tek skiff when using the laser to carry big creatures, and to transport them safely back to your base with out risking loosing them on the way back.
Maybe the cravings impact the levels. The reaper embryos depend on player experience to get higher levels, so feeding the impregnated dino its craving might give the rhynio more levels. Also, is it just your rhynio that has the carch sounds? You used a carch to tame both of them, but I wasn't paying attention to the wild ones to notice. Could that be one of the traits it inherits?
If the “mother” doesn’t despawn and you want to reuse it, it might be a good use for the transponder. I’ve never bothered using it before, but this might be worth trying.
That is a good idea, but just saying the transponder can be pretty glitchy and break randomly. At least that's what I get on console. I looked it up and it happens often actually all around. Though just saying, gonna have to cop your idea

Put sap in the inventory of the thyrion and it will make 1 resin for 1 sap every 5 seconds also arthroplueras are supposed to make a enzyme that make’s glue with it some how
Just did a little experimenting. They can pick up paracers, but they can't pick them up if they have a platform saddle on. Also, they convert sap into resin when its in their inventory at a 1:1 ratio.

The Ark development team follows the Code of Riot Games: make the new thing so OP that everyone wants it and nerf it later. Just that for ARK this means that the progression chain, which was already broken anyway, gets further crushed into dust, ruining the game even further.
Its actually not absurd as it sounds for the Rhynio to be able to pick up such large dinos cuz realistically pound for pound insects are some of the strongest animals
Really hope they make the change in ASA to have Carnivores only attack things when their hunger meter is low. I think it would make the game better in a lot of different ways.
There's a lot of AI improvements that would benefit the game. Better pathfinding around cliffs and mountains. The ability to smell/hear prey, and a more complex system like hyenaedon for aggro. So small/med carnivores selectively ignore things that are too bulky/fast for them to kill unless they can ambush it from behind. Think the ocean food/aggro chain needs an overhaul, all wildlife is unified in their hatred of you and the aggro range is tremendous

you can actually see more stuff about the baby rhynio by pressing the button to check what the buff/debuff on a tame or the weather(idk the button on pc i play on xbox). you can see stuff like egg effectiveness, size of egg(size of the creature), and even how many times you have feed the craving by percentage. each one of these apparently raise the level of the rhynio by a percentage. for example i have been able to get size and cravings to max except for egg(only got it to 95%) on a 145 rhynio baby and used a carcha as the donor. this got the lvl 145 baby to 180 when it gets birthed?hatched?idk. but this means that if a max lvl 150 rhynio get 100% on everything we could get a 190 hatched out rhynio

I've seen another video on "hatching" a rhynio, and it wanted things like black pearls, element, *gasoline* , and probably some other things I'm drawing a blank on
you cant feed the pheromone to a tek creature, and the craving can range from black pearls, rhino horn, normal consumables like veggie cake or even elements (11:58 it means its taking the color and the stats of the host, im not sure abt mutated hosts like in the video)

Sure it will take some time until the Remake (where they can easily balance it), but its not like it would completely ruin the game now, if its too op. hey syntac for your Super Mutated Creatures (254 points in all stats), Use Brontos when Taming Rhynios. From tests i did, Brontos have the chance to past down more stats to the Rhynio if you get all the cravings. When i was testing with a Bronto that had 254 points in all stats, after getting all 5 cravings it asked for, The baby Rhynio had 5 stats that had 254 points. This happened twice. AA Brachiosaurus & Megachelon, despite having more drag than bronto only gave two stats 254 points. The Last Giga test i did only gave 4 stats 254 points. Hope this helps
I think the level depends on how much u feed the bug when it's in ur dinosaur, as u only fed it once it had a bad level, but the more u feed it the level will eventually get to the level the original bug was
Named mine Buggomorph. Don't know why but it felt right. Also It might have just been a coincidence that its lvl was higher after feeding it a few craving items but if its not its gonna be a massive pain in the ass to make a max lvl one. Especially for the rarer items it might start craving.
The way to get the resin is to put sap in its inventory and it will after a short amount of time it will turn into resin so if you put one sap you get one resin if you put ten sap you get ten resin hope this helps

IRL unusual pregnancy cravings are called pica. I've known women who've craved sand and match heads. I was 'normal' and just had cravings for orange coloured food. Pretty interesting they brought that weird stuff into Ark
If I had to guess, I'd say the more cravings you hit, the more levels get added on to the baby, similar to how the more XP you get when impregnated with a reaper, the more levels that will get

Seems too much like a fan-made creature. It can do everything, and better than everything else, just too OP and a bit OTT. Waaaaaay too many random things needed for the cravings too, gotta knock that down a hell of a lot. Cool looking tho, even if you hate insects, its pretty badass.
I didn’t play at all through my pregnancy and obviously a newborn wasn’t going to let me hop on often, but a week ago I found the time to get on and start a new play thru on the island. I was on my flyer scoping out the swamp and BOOM, insanely huge scary bug I’ve never seen before jumped my ass lmao. I thought it was a boss or something, I totally wigged out.
Noticed when ever u need to feed it, it tells u the egg of the creature its inside of. Might makes it easier to test on a different dino if they still want the same eggs
That is one overpowered bug... I love it! Hm... Okay, so looking at it, I'm pretty sure the cravings affect the level. If you manage to fill all its cravings, it'll probably pop out at max taming level (compared to the Rhynio you used to impregnate your creature) AND... Possibly save your creature as well? Since it's draining health constantly from the host and fulfilling all of its cravings causes it to pop out early, it might actually save the creature since it doesn't have to feed on the host as much. This kind of reminds me of the Symbiotes in Marvel... If you fulfil their cravings (a certain chemical found in brains and chocolate) they won't feed on your organs, they also take over certain traits of their host (Venom has taken Spider-Man's appearance and webslinging and Eddie Brock's bulk, Carnage has taken Cletus Cassidy's insanity, Toxin has taken Patrick Mulligan's sense of duty, etc...)
I wonder if over the pregnancy, the cravings help increase the level of the baby. For example, you could only fulfill 1 craving, and it came out 68 (from a mother at 168). If 1 craving is 100 levels lower, maybe fulfilling 2 makes it 80 levels lower, and 3 60, etc....
I didn't get to test out the cravings much but to get the resin once its tamed and fully grown you need sap in its inventory. Those are its ammo for shooting and to use the Resin Armor.
btw it's make carch noise because that what it hatch from, not because they are re using sound effects. if you put it in a dodo, it will make dodo noises :)

Also for taming rexes, moving a reaper queen because it can pick them up, good for combat with its resin. In all honesty it's great for any player

Transponders break if the creature is hit and don't always work on wilds, it's a good case for a tracking dart to be added to the game

Well anything that's the same tier as a giga would prob be the best donor since it gives 100 percent egg quality

I didn’t play at all through my pregnancy and obviously a newborn wasn’t going to let me hop on often, but a week ago I found the time to get on and start a new play thru on the island. I was on my flyer scoping out the swamp and BOOM, insanely huge scary bug I’ve never seen before jumped my ass lmao. I thought it was a boss or something, I totally wigged out.
So excited for this!
To craft resin, simply place sap in a tamed Rhyniognatha's inventory. It will take about five seconds to convert each sap into resin hope this helps

So you said in the dossier it takes on traits of what it comes out of. Maybe that’s why it has carchar sounds?
try putting tree sap in the inventory also love the content keep it up
Noticed when ever u need to feed it, it tells u the egg of the creature its inside of. Might makes it easier to test on a different dino if they still want the same eggs

Hm... Okay, so looking at it, I'm pretty sure the cravings affect the level. If you manage to fill all its cravings, it'll probably pop out at max taming level (compared to the Rhynio you used to impregnate your creature) AND... Possibly save your creature as well?
Since it's draining health constantly from the host and fulfilling all of its cravings causes it to pop out early, it might actually save the creature since it doesn't have to feed on the host as much.
This kind of reminds me of the Symbiotes in Marvel... If you fulfil their cravings (a certain chemical found in brains and chocolate) they won't feed on your organs, they also take over certain traits of their host (Venom has taken Spider-Man's appearance and webslinging and Eddie Brock's bulk, Carnage has taken Cletus Cassidy's insanity, Toxin has taken Patrick Mulligan's sense of duty, etc...)

From what i've seen, the whole 'traits from it's parents' thing is the color. There's a chance it can have some of your sacrifice dinos colors

I wonder if over the pregnancy, the cravings help increase the level of the baby. For example, you could only fulfill 1 craving, and it came out 68 (from a mother at 168). If 1 craving is 100 levels lower, maybe fulfilling 2 makes it 80 levels lower, and 3 60, etc....
OH! Adding to this thought after seeing the family tree at the end. I wonder if the Rhynio can inherent mutations from its host parent?

I used the Rhynio recently, and learned that it can carry rock drakes and reapers. Its terrifying yet hilarious at the same time
I didn't get to test out the cravings much but to get the resin once its tamed and fully grown you need sap in its inventory. Those are its ammo for shooting and to use the Resin Armor.
This is the only oversized insect in the entire universe I like and respect
btw it's make carch noise because that what it hatch from, not because they are re using sound effects. if you put it in a dodo, it will make dodo noises :)
You gotta name one noisy boy and make it Purple, yellow and black, from the movie Real Steel. The pattern and shape of everything on the Rhynio fits too well

So the Rhyniognatha is like the Reaper Queen, but for Dinos in terms of its breeding. Sounds pretty cool.
