Some notes from the author:
The jellies will always respawn nearby once there's less than 10 nearby, it just takes a bit for them to respawn if they're all killed.
They ONLY stun players off smaller or medium sized mounts, and stun duration is based on drag weight. So you can be "part of the fight" with a larger tame. Alpha mosa AI is just bad, it wasn't stunned for more than 0.3s-ish.
You can see the Bio Toxin lowering on the side of the screen, they automatically eat it over time unless you use the radial wheel to disable it. You can also force-feed bio toxin to recover charge faster.
Alpha Glaucus are super mean, do not fight them without a decent group of tames. They're more like a miniature boss fight.
If you don't disable idle flipping, they will float to the surface upside-down after being idle for a while. This is mostly cosmetic and can be disabled with the radial wheel.
Modifiers for damage, health, and speed are available via ini config so you can balance them however you like. They're meant to be endgame like Wyverns, I may need to make the taming a bit harder.

Do you have plans to make any more sea animals? So many are so pretty, maybe a man-o-war or a lionfish?
To make it harder to tame you could make wild Glaucus have much more health then there tamed counterparts. Kinda like wilds giga health vs tamed giga health. It would be a lot harder to fight a Glaucus with 80k hp then 13k hp.
Name him "Lugia" after the legendary Pokemon.

I love how Axe tamed those sea dragons without any issues, yet Syntac struggles, and on the other side we have Axe really struggling while taming Pyromanes, yet Syntac did it with no problems...

Fun fact: The real world Glaucus is always floating upside down. The vibrant blue side of its body is actually its underbelly.
Also, I'm not sure if you noticed, but when the game version was sitting idle in the wild, it was upside down and when the boss bar first appeared it actually flipped over.
Can flip your tamed one like that, and breeding them both will drop and egg like maewings, possibly from real life slugs who can both impregnate and get impregnated
And they are also venomous, sort of, it eat the man o' war jellyfish and takes its venom
@@yotambenari4710 they actually aren’t jellyfish, they are called siphonophore which is very closely related to jellyfish though. Also fun fact they end up being more toxic than the man o’ war because they highly condense the stingers

i love how syntac tames the aquatic wyvern before taming a basilo or a rex. tho I don't blame him for that with levyiathan in the waters XD
Archelon is a great option. Super high base health, immune to its lightning attacks, gets a 90 second damage buff when killing jellies, and you can tame it with either bio toxin or superior kibble.

Yo Syntac! The chances of you seeing this are low, but I’m going to say this anyways. You should section off your water pen and put like walls in between your water base so it’s like 1 lagoon for a mosa and 1 for a bunch of eels for example and so on… Anyways love the videos and keep up the great content!

For anyone wondering, the jellyfish will always respawn when they are all gone by the Glaucus you wanna tame.
Tusos ARE immune to jellies. Mosas are not. That's why Tusos are superior in every way.

I love all dragon related creatures and this is just PERFECT especially since it is so strong i hope for a lot more dragon mods like some livyathan sized chinese dragon would definitely do the thing for me

I downloaded the glaucus mod after seeing on your series, and I love it. It's totally a sea wyvern. One slightly unfortunate thing though, is that I have overrideofficialdifficulty set to 7, so my max level is 210. And I haven't seen a glaucus over 210 (I've been looking for a while). They're still very strong though. A maxed out breeding line would be insane. Also I used a basil to tame my glaucus, as they have the whole jellyfish thing going on.

I love the sea dragons so much i just cant imagine ark without them anymore my only complaint is i wish they came in alot more colors the only ones iv seen are just mixes of blues and blacks. i do have to say i kinda think the breath should use stamina as well cuz ya that beams broken lol

I mean it is based on those blue dragon sea slugs i would be very surprised if it didn’t dry out on land since it needs sea water and would assume it only eats bio toxin from the jellies since that sea slug it’s based on eats Portuguese Man’o’Wars exclusively

Syntac had PTSD from the murder whale lol. Id call that thing Azrael. He is the angel of death. It kinda looks like an angel with those wings and its sooooo over powered too. Anything u hit with it is gonna die.

@JS-mh9uu Yeah they're the giant sea turtle garuga made, they're def underrated cause they destroy the glaucus
I used a archelon to get a glaucus (couldn’t hatch it cause my single player just broke, still just hard crashes every time I try to load it even after like 2 months) and while it was a low level my turtle demolished it. Even if the glaucus was low level it still had a ton of health, but archelon armor is amazing (or damage reduction, I don’t remember which it has)

I think a cool name would be Tiamat, she’s a titan from the Godzilla series who’s a large ocean creature and is insanely powerful and does have some electrical properties
Revenge has been achieved! And yeah the Alpha versions like a mini boss fight. So your best bets to grt an imprinted version or some Basilos.

In ase the jellyfish could be up to lol 150 I don't know much about the underwater caves but I'm sure just like every other Dino in caves they can go above

Axe got very lucky. He tamed 2 of these and both times they didn't use the electric attacks at all.

After seeing the Discharge attack... a decent name idea is "Nova" as in Supernova
that glaucus is actually based on real living creature, though with some creative liberties (the dragon head & electricity). the real thing is a type of nudibranch sea slug, sometimes called a blue dragon, is actually called glaucus atlanticus, and they're very tiny & beautiful little creatures that are highly poisonous & swim upside-down

Basilo and a tamed sea dragon are only immune from shocks from jelly fish and wild sea dragon

I was so concerned when Syntac hatched the egg on land, I know vanilla semi aquatic tames instantly die if you put them on land. Realistically the mod devs probably wouldn't want that to happen, but he still scared me
