do you have any idea why the dry spell (days of sun during the wet season) we have in our country from september to october is called "Petit Carême"? _petit carême_ means _little Lent_ in french. but what the hell does Lent have to do with a dry spell in september & october? why does this conflation exist? i cannot find any information about its origin on the net.
