Trinidad was not colonized. I was a country used as refuge for slaves fleeing their masters. Haitian Creole were the first to flee to this island. Grenadians built this country and most of the people are of Grenadian descendants. More than 50%

Grenada is way more peaceful. Why did Trinidad become a birthplace for gangs ? They will kill you for nothing. The men from the hills

Here’s the truth; Trinidad was first colonized by the Spanish and then the English. Grenadians didn’t build this country; it was built by the original African slaves and their French masters some of them who came from Haiti and other Caribbean islands and later by the British who took over the island from the Spanish and then brought in Chinese and Portuguese workers followed by Indian indentured labourers. Grenadians came in much later and from the lot only two stood out- TUB Butler and Slinger Francisco. We need to get the facts right and not mislead anyone.
