Best way and proper way is to dab the base coat on with a sponge as per video then use an airbrush to spray over coat by coat to build up the layers.
True and get a beautiful finish. But it can be done this way and if you're a novice you can just take your time

Where did you get those things that line the back seat around the carpet? Looks very nice and I've seen them on other cars at events but never an e90 and don't know what they're called

If your doing this same job put a white or pink base coat first on the black leather so you won’t waist so much product and time

@@asifraja8504 I think I used 4bottles in total the kit comes with a brush and you can use any leather seat cleaner but make sure it hasn’t got any oil in it

Hello thanks for the sub👍 and to answer your question I’ve had it for a couple of months now and it’s still on there I’ve got a friend that had it for 3years and no issue, And it doesn’t smell of paint. It’s all about the prep

I bought it there and just got my seats done. One tip is when you dye, most of the time you want to dap not painting motion.

I got 3 bottles only use 2 n half of one for Mitsubishi eclipse front n back seat if that helps, fyi if you live is humid area and no trees around for shade this will fade and my passenger seat faded out more in the coner, so I keep a bottle around for touch ups, I wish I never did it my car always smell funny, has never went back to normal, the sun activates the smell during winter smells worst like stale boogery breathe

How long do you need to leave the dye to dry and cure before trying to wype it with leather cleaner and seal it ?
Ive just done my back seat, looked amazing but after an hour, hour and a half i tried giving it a wype since it looked dry to buff off the excess and it all came off 😢

Hi yes if you would like to change the colour of your seats then go for it, it took me 2whole days to do the back takes a lot of time do it and it’s holding up well
I'm looking for a good kit to do coral red in my bmw. Also how long between coats?
To dry? Your looking at around 5min with the heat-gun and then let it sit then add another coat you will know when to add another coat by looking at it 👍

How is the condition of your seats? I think you missed a few steps in your process, I am not an expert myself but I've seen one in action :)
Bare in mind I’m not a expert I just followed the instructions but What did I miss?
@@diycustomz2358 I saw a dying process and I think you missed removing old paint, applying a leather conditioner (softener), then a prep paint. After color agent a sort of "clear coat" was also applied. Seats looked better than new ones.
@@tomek860 ah I’ve never seen anywhere where it says remove the old paint also I did use leather conditioner just forgot add the clip on
