  • In this DIY Guide, we will show you how to change the colour of your BMW M5's leather seats. Whether you want to refresh the current colour or completely transform it, this step-by-step tutorial will guide you through the process. First, gather all the necessary materials including leather dye, cleaning solution, a sponge, and a brush. Make sure to choose a high-quality dye that matches the desired colour for your seats. Start by thoroughly cleaning the seats to remove any dirt or grime that could interfere with the dye. Once the seats are clean and dry, apply the dye evenly with the brush, making sure to cover all areas of the leather. Allow the dye to dry completely before applying a protective sealant to ensure the colour stays vibrant and long-lasting. Follow these simple steps and give your BMW M5's interior a fresh new look with custom coloured leather seats. ### Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more DIY guides and car customization tips! ###

Great work. What would do on the backs of the seats, plastic parts if you wanted to recolor?

Thanks, the paints work well on leather mainly , they can be also used on plastic along with plastic primer at the start, but this kind of job will not have the same wear resistance as factory finished plastic, I am looking into finding system for plastic restoration.

Great video. Thanks. What about ventilated seats? I would be afraid that all the tiny holes get filled up with paint.

I did this job on perforated leather, there is no issue when I sprayed with the gun, of course , you would need to make sure you clean the perforation after sanding etc before you spray it, if I get chance at some stage I may do video about it.

I see you used Geist for all prep and cleaning work. It did an awesome job. But what brand paint/dye did you spray with? And do have everything as for also the final topcoat you applied? Your ending results were amazing!!

It wasn't my choice, I would also leave them red as the condition of these seats was outstanding for the age. It looks like I will have them again, to bring the original color back again 😀
