Stanley I love your videos I've been an operator for about 9 years now. Right now Im running an old Fiat Allis loader with a a 16-foot push box and love every minute of it we even have the same tlb as you well your black one and pave and landscape over the summer keep on keeping on man you rock and are a big inspiration to me hope all is well and stay safe
Hey Stan love your videos ontario here I'm just like yourselves plow in the winter and hardscape all summer big storm coming gana be up for days pushing snow keep up the great work guys
Central New York, I've used my Kioti 2510 with a msi snow pusher 6 times. I like plowing snow and now getting snow like we used to when i was younger sucks. Love the videos. Keep kickin' ass out here Dirt Monkeys.
Attleboro,MA - just got our first plowable event Tuesday night and hoping for our second Friday night but temps were so warm the other day that if you didn’t plow the 4” in the am, nothing was left but mid day. Praying for east coast snow!! 🙏🏻
I totally agree with the way you're doing it Stanley oh, it's a smart thing you and the crew are doing plowing with the storm because that's the way I was trained to do it when I was out working. God bless you guys and stay safe my friend.
OMG if a plow truck could do that way up in the north...life would be good......snow packs hard here....skid steers and loaders..... only way to keep picky customers happy.
Idea for a fun video, you get roughly the same size pile as the Komatsu in this video and Tim’s rig an see who can push all of it first. You have to push it over a hundred yards and you can only take a 10 yard run up. I know these were slippery conditions, I went ass over teakettle trying to shovel some stairs in Bloomington😂😂
I’m in Southern New England it has been hands down the worst winter I’ve experienced 11.5 inches of snow all winter… received our “biggest” snow of the season yesterday with 5.5 inches falling. We’re suppose to have close to 40 inches which is our average this time of year.
Here in Atlanta it has been unseasonably warm though we did have a few days of single digit lows at Christmas. We had a neighbor a few years ago native to the area. They moved to Iowa because they had never lived in snow and wanted the experience. I am happy to watch Dirt Monkey videos and enjoy vicariously.
I believe depending on where you live it’s a heavy fine for plowing out into the road and leave piles. On my old plow route I had a guy who would come plow and leave huge piles of snow in the road after I plowed/salted and had bare road surface. He kept doing it until a major storm where I straightened my power angle road plow and dumped a few heavy piles in their driveway. They learned to never do that again.
always a joy to watch. i'm in central jersey and I work for a farm that assists a town with tractors and trucks plowing and my boss bought a new truck/plow for me to operate this year.... needless to same it jinxed us and we haven't had any snow ☹☹☹
I'm from Gladstone (aka Happy Rock), Manitoba, Canada. I'm owner and operator of Happy Rock Lawn Care and snow removal. We've had less than a foot of snow this year 😳. I do residential snow removal only and use a 2021 Polaris sportsman xp 1000 on camoplast tattoo tracks. Have the 60" Polaris plow with power angle. Plus a 3013 John deere walk behind snowblower, which is currently out of action do to drive issues. You are more than welcome to send some more snow our way. Lol 😆 🤣 😂
I’m from Tennessee its about 70 degrees here and I am very glad because I don’t like winter. But I still watch these snow plow videos because they are soo cool 😎.
What a great video..When my sectional gets half wore i flip it over and hard surface it..takes n hour eaxh shoe.Saves a lot of money. Where way below snow here in ames iowa..Be safe n get rest when u can !
I'm watching from the US Virgin Island of St. Thomas. It's been cool and breezy with lows of 72. Which is cold for us. We put an extra sheet on the bed at night. I'm from NE Ohio and miss te snow so thanks for taking us along on your winter storm!
LED is king. An if you or anyone else have not tried. Try out harbor freight LED's can't beat them. I have them on all trucks an equipment for snow. It's daylight at night
No Stan you definitely got all the snow this year not missing it at all like I said before we're in full-time landscaping hardscaping trees are budding out picking up trees in Maryland yesterday plum trees flowering Philly area not far behind maybe another week
Stan, I still enjoy watching you all work after my day is done! Besides for the 10 days of arctic chill around Christmas, St Louis MO has had the mildest winter in the past decade. Almost no production lost due to weather this year! Most years I lose 3-6 weeks.
I live in Michigan we haven't gotten a lot of snow this year for blowing we've done a lot of salting Love your videos keep doing um Tommy's lawn service Would love to meet you someday Bending business for 23 years
oh boy, several things, yes it's much easier to deal with lesser amounts rather than a lot especially if its wet, working it with ease rather than fighting it makes a big difference. Pushing snow where you shouldn't.... oh gosh one of the contractors in town with a lot of equipment at his disposal and a large lot at his house pushes all his snow out of his driveway onto the boulevard along the yard of one or our long time local seniors, drives me absolutely crazy every time I see that. Break downs are no fun but thankfully only hydraulic hoses this year and an awesome business that will come in and make me a hose anytime after hours, amazing support. This year though we haven't had much snow, nothing in January at all!
I was a landscaper/snow plower in Maine for 20 years. Now I’m an OTR truck driver watching many companies doing what I use to do. As much as I hated plowing, I really do miss it. It’s just something about it. Your videos are always great to watch! If I was still in the business, I would love to be apart of Dirt Monkey Force! …….yes I had to hire a plow guy, and my incredible wife does the shoveling. Looking to buy a sub compact tractor this fall, any recommendations would be great. Keep up the great work. THUMBS UP TO THE WHOLE TEAM!
MaN I'm over in Michigan near Detroit and seeing all that snow is blowing my mind most of us are thinking this is the mildest winter we have seen and about to break are shorts out again! Absolutely insane seeing them snow mountain you made
Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex area. No snow, but one day of sprinkles, which of course shut down all freeways for us. Since then, we've been in the 50s and 60s. Right now it's a mild 72.
It's been a lame winter here in flint mi. Have had 4 plow events never more than 3 inches. And the summer prior was hot and dry so financially.... The struggle is real. God always provides though. Love your videos.
Here in Michigan..we’ve gotten 1 1/2 feet of snow..in 3 days last week..a foot the week before..this weekend..it’s suppose to be..between 3 inches and 12 inches..meaning we might get 2 inches..course..I’m only 400 ft from a lake to..so I’ll get the lake effect off it
Seems like when we get the winter routine down, it's over and time to shift gears! Winter was late in arriving here Coastal Maine, but judging by the comments, I would say we are lucky to have received the weather and work that we have!
To be honest I don't miss plowing commercially, it's kinda nice not having to be out all night. In 2018 I was moving snow every day from the last week in January until the first of March, either initial clearing or post storm clean up. The one thing I do miss is doing the drive throughs at caribou and Starbucks, lots of free Coco. Got 4 inches in the Moose lake area today.
12 feet this week so far, 5 more feet this weekend… (Sierra Nevada in California, this winter I think it’s like 40 something feet of snow so far.) all blowers, and plows, no pickups, and no pushers. Mostly graders, big loaders with plows, or blowers, skid loaders with blowers, smaller loaders with blowers, dump trucks, and specialty-machines that are built exclusively for snow blowing. Also, they don’t use salt…. a lot of sand though.
I’m in the southern tier of New York. We just got our heaviest snow fall this year, around 4 inches last night and it was 95% melted by the time I got to work. A few hours from me got nailed with a nasty blizzard on Christmas but I haven’t even so much as brushed off my truck this year or had to scrape the windshield.
San Jose Ca lots of rain but 6in of snow in the hills and up to 15 in high elevation. Last time had snow this low was 30 years ago. Lake Tahoe is gettin swamp with snow. Glad we left early cause we would of gotten stuck an extra 4 days with highway closed.
When working manually to move snow (I do my and my neighbour's driveway, plus a long stretch of sidewalks, and I move a lot of snow away from the fence in my back yard to prevent problems with spring runoff, since there's no back alley behind my house), I find that getting ahead of the snow and doing it in stages is so much more efficient. It may seem quicker to wait for the whole amount to accumulate, but once you are pushing a heavy pile of snow, it slows you down a lot, and you are often forced to engage a lot of muscle groups and use up your body's stored energy reserves (by this I mean the short-term ones that can't be quickly replenished). Alternately, when it's still a reasonable amount, you can instead walk relatively fast while pushing snow, and you only need to use aerobic respiration to produce energy (note: breathing as a source of metabolic energy is still not limitless, but it is _much_ more easily produced and replenished than the stored muscle energy required for strenuous activity). For mechanical work, you can of course always just add more gasoline to get more energy, so this analogy isn't perfect. However, even with machines there is a slowdown of the speed at which you can work, as tires slip, multiple passes are needed, etc. And most importantly, there is a lot more wear and tear on the equipment, resulting in breakdowns and time-consuming repair work, when pushing machines to - or past - their limits. So I can understand how your years of experience on the job have led you to this process of working around the clock. There really are a lot of good, efficiency-focused reasons to choose this method.
It has been a slow winter. We have only plowed 2 time and it was just clearing the roads at the end of the storm. More salting than plowing. Here in Massachusetts.
Wait you can’t pile snow across the road? I get leaving massive piles in the middle of the road, but sometimes there’s nowhere else to put it. I personally do it all the time but I make sure to keep it on my side of the road and make sure I scrape the road as best as I can after words.
I have a question and I’m pretty sure I know the answer but have you ever considered Polly bottems on the rub edges yes I understand you would have to change them more often because you run 100% of the time on concrete and asphalt. But there are companies that make poly especially for that I think may west is one of them. They make pads for wear shoes and they make cutting edges so the shoe and edge wear together. Also was that your WA270 R.T.L. With the snow pusher attached to the bucket? If so have you ever considered some carbide tire studs? They actually make some for Rubber Tire Loaders. “Grip Studs” anyway just some thoughts have a great day.
ya, I work for a municipality in Ontario Canada. with pushing snow across a street and why it's a no-no it comes down to liability. A lot of people don't know if you push snow across a street and it causes an accident you are held alliable.
Sw Michigan, usually lake effect heaven.. Unfortunately we've only had 3 storms this season and balance of March doesn't look promising.. Should come see you guys and give a hand
It has been 5 to 15 degrees cooler than normal most days, certainly wetter and windier than normal during this winter here in The Valley of the Sun (Greater Phoenix, AZ). PS, you can have the balance of my lifetimes worth of snow! This from a guy who spent 25+ years around the Great Lakes, with most of that in the UP of MI.
Here is NJ we did not have snow that was around for a time our first snow of the season was a bust where I live 2" far norther NJ 6" melted in 2 day all gone we have green grass we need snow with a 20" snow drought
I’m in northern Indiana and it’s been treating us snow removal operators terrible. Three snow events from December to now totaling 4”. It’s been so bad this year I’m actually a little bit jealous lol
Well, Nashville broke TWO records in the last 2 weeks with like 78 and 80F. Everything is blooming here already and it scares me cause I'm sure that it will turn cold and kill all the blooms. My Forsythias and Magnolias, are in full bloom, Daffodils everywhere, and even the Bradford Pears are blooming. Pretty? Yes but it is too early. And if it's 80 in February, what's it going to be come July? But I'll be honest, I do not miss the snow. You guys be careful, stay safe and warm.
Dedicated crew a must. Enjoy watching how you treat your employees. The amount of snow you move is crazy. Thanks for the videos.
Thanks for the support 🙏 And yeah we’ve gotten a pretty good amount up here this winter!

Dang that’s just not right.
I'm in Northern CT, this winter has been BORING weather wise! Not even any frozen lakes to go ice fishing.
I feel your pain ive pushed a total of 3 times this year, its been by far the worst winter
No snow at all here in the mid-east, this was the warmest winter in decades.
Here in Atlanta it has been unseasonably warm though we did have a few days of single digit lows at Christmas. We had a neighbor a few years ago native to the area. 6 days for for me! That was a ass kicking of a week
Good job, Thanks for thinking of the Cancer people and the Dialzsis ones too as I have had both and still on Dialzsis as we speak ( from Canada )
magical video.. many goodies
You did an awesome job getting that snow plowed off be careful n have a great day
You guys work damn hard Stan. Awesomesauce video!!
Thanks man 😎
NW Missouri here and have had 5 plowable events all year. Not gonna lie I’m a little jealous of your snow up there. Wish we had some.
I’m in bay city Michigan and the past two weeks it’s been about 16 inches right by the bay.
In Colorado, I heard we just set some kind of record for snow on consecutive Wednesdays. We've had a busy Winter here as well.
MaN I'm over in Michigan near Detroit and seeing all that snow is blowing my mind most of us are thinking this is the mildest winter we have seen and about to break are shorts out again! Absolutely insane seeing them snow mountain you made
Kinda crazy you don’t seem that far away but still have had such a different winter
Operating a bobcat for clearing myself, yup…. Get on top of it when it starts. Keep up the great work!
Defantly a lot of snow here in MN and when you are plowing with the komatsu loader it will push better when the bucket is level.
Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex area. No snow, but one day of sprinkles, which of course shut down all freeways for us. Since then, we've been in the 50s and 60s. Right now it's a mild 72.
In South Michigan it suck not enough to play in but enough to make the roads slick and doors to freeze solid
That doesn’t sound very fun
@@Dirtmonkey finally got 6-7 inches ope wait 2 hours later in 45 outside
It's been a lame winter here in flint mi. Have had 4 plow events never more than 3 inches. And the summer prior was hot and dry so financially.... The struggle is real. God always provides though. Love your videos.

great work! thought the Pro-Tech was a Arctic Sectional on a bucket at first xD
Nice one Stan. 👍👍🏴🏴
Minnesota here!! Yes it’s been endless nights plowing and keeping up with those lots too. Phew.. made it though tho.
March is here, spring is coming soon Stan!
I’m ready 🥶
we have about 60cm now. it snowed another 60cm last month. now its 7+ C so its down to 50cm compacted
Born and raised in Fergus Falls I remember some brutal winters in the early nineties growing up
Sounds about right 🥶
@@Dirtmonkey yes sir. I’m in North Dakota now. I love your videos and the content you post. Very informative. Keep up the great job you snow monkeys
Love the videos brother god bless
I'm in Belleville Ontario Canada. Been a pretty busy year. Had a bit of a break in mid February.
Nice
Up here in Southwestern Maine, we probably have about 4 to 5 feet for the year, but we're getting another 12+ inches today
salt is snows worst enemy it works well spread it after ploughing fantastic stuff
It's been in the 60s and 70s for pretty much all of February and I'm gonna start mowing lawns this upcoming Saturday. Southeastern NC.
Seems like when we get the winter routine down, it's over and time to shift gears!
Winter was late in arriving here Coastal Maine, but judging by the comments, I would say we are lucky to have received the weather and work that we have!
I think you’re right about that
Wow a real loader...nice
Las Vegas nevada. Snow level down to just above the valley floor. Mountains all around have snow
Did I miss something , where did the komastu loader come from , never seen it before but the tires are definitely not winter tread .
MI upper peninsula. It has been a very mild winter for us this year. Jus getting a lot of snow the last two weeks.
To be honest I don't miss plowing commercially, it's kinda nice not having to be out all night. Here in canada you can buy on road fuel then file the correct paper work and get the road tax portion refunded

Woop woop ❄️

In southern Massachusetts, have not had a plow able storm this year, haven’t even touch a shovel as everything’s has been gone the next day.
I bet if that full sized loader had an Arctic he wouldn’t be having as many traction issues. The cleaner scrape does wonders for traction

That big loader would benefit from some chains.
It has been a slow winter. We have only plowed 2 time and it was just clearing the roads at the end of the storm. More salting than plowing. Here in Massachusetts.

Duluth, tired of the snow, rain several times this year didn’t help, but surviving it with the RT1 v plow !!!
How do those back drag units hook up to the truck? Like a gooseneck fifth wheel style hitch or something different?
4.5 feet in 5 weeks! Thats crazy! 8 hours from you in Winnipeg, Canada, we've only got 5 inches in the last 5 weeks!
Plowing snow every Thursday and Friday it seems in Sheboygan WI. Wet and sloppy seems to be the theme this year.
Feel it! We just got a pretty fluffy storm here recently though
No snow here in southeastern Pennsylvania! No overtime for me this winter.
What do you do with all your loaders in the summer ? Are they still put to work or just parked for the summer and only used in the winter ?

Enjoying my 60" plus north of Minneapolis 👍👍
Since when did you buy a Komatsu front end loader? Last 2 bits of equipment you brought was the Kabota frond end loader and the F-350
Southern tier of western NY only 12" all year. 40mi north was hit with the 2 major storms of 72"+ each
I’m from Duluth Minnesota. Today well, you already know because you’re working we just got hit by a storm.
Helena montana are weather guy called for 8-10in and we got 0-1/8 of snow couldn't even plow glad to see someone making the money keep it up
Well, Nashville broke TWO records in the last 2 weeks with like 78 and 80F.
I still prefer short iron mounting system over the rest of pull plows.
