My digital on the left flashes UTC. Nothing changes. The only dials that moves is the bottom center. No buttons work. Do I need to fix something inside the watch?
How did you change the battery, did you send it to Citizen in California? Please share. I have same watch like new, purchased new in 2001. The outside is like new and I would like to have it running again, a definite keepsake. Aloha.
Couldn’t get my son’s 22 yr old Skyhawk to set for the life of me. I have always cleaned the front movable dial with dental floss and WD40. The A and B buttons weren’t displaying properly so I squirted just a minute amount around the buttons, and voila! It worked. I followed this video and the watch is now displaying the right time digital, analog, and calendar!
I bought this watch in 2009/2010. And in August 2024, I just replaced the battery, because since 2019 I kept the watch in a dark place and never used it at all, so the old battery died. Now the watch is working well again. I like this watch because it is very classic.
Thanks for the tutorial. I was gifted an old Blue Angels Skyhawk Eco Drive. I was getting frustrated. Never thought about setting the digital side first.
I’ve changed my battery (with the built in capacitor) and it’s now charging but the only functions that respond is the digital city change. I’m hoping that it’s just a power issue, the hands have started moving now and it says “Charge” in the left digital display. I’m going to let it charge but I don’t remember ever setting my Citizen C652 since the party piece is radio controlled time setting. I’ll keep you updated incase you are like me and trying to make you old Citizen work again :)
it works as he said in the video. i worked for citizen for 16 years.i have set quite a few of these.they were not my specialty, my job was divers watches.
I bought my eco drive 15 years ago at least but sadly I'm now unable to adjust it due to button B malfunction. Initially I thought the issue may have been battery as some of the displays were also not complete however I replaced the battery and whilst the displays are now good I still can't adjust it. Pity as it had all the functionality I needed and it was a perfect size for me.
Citizen eco drive sky hawk wr 200? :- 1) Which colour is the watch light? 2) What is the reason for night light showing red colour? 3) Does it automatically change 1 hour forward or backward automatically without manually setting?
If it has a light it's red . Not all of the Syhawks have a light . It's red to not interfere with night vision .If you set SMT to ON it changes automatically.
The video was very well descriptive but i keep having an issue with this watch that was given to me by my grandfather which is not having the hour and second hand not matching up with the digital and very time I try to set it it adds an extra hour or two and when the hour hand is at the correct hour the minute hand goes crazy non stop until it hits a certain number that doesn’t match up pls I need help cause I want to wear this watch
sorry for being late, you have to calibrate the hands first by going to chr mode and the crown to click number 2 then wait for the watch to do its work by moving its dials and after that press a to move seconds hours or minutes dial then try to line hour minutes and seconds to the 12 o clock position once done return crown to position 0 and wait for the watch to do its dial movement then sync digital with analogue by pressing a and b at the same time
@@mightyfidpromax please sir i have c650 it turns off at night but when light comes it switches on to the right time how do i know it needs battery t b replaced or not is there indicator bars ?
This watch is a Pain in the a##. What the video doesn't tell is you have to calibrate the hands first by setting all hands to the 12:00 position. You do this by turning the crown while in the cal mode. Then fix your digital time and date in the time mode.
I have a Citizen Eco-Drive Skyhawk watch that I've owned for about twelve years now. The hour hand has never been in sync with the 24 hour hand. They have always been an hour and a half apart. Zeroing doesn't help, because they are corrected in conjunction with each other. Is there anything that can be done about this? Thank you.
Actually, that's not true. The hour hand and the 24 hour hand move in conjunction with each other, so no matter how many times you spin the hour hand, the 24 hour hand never matches it at zero.
@@maxxawesome7412 No, I was never able to fix it, and I really did a lot of research. Like you said…they are linked. I think it would have to be taken apart, the 24 hour hand pulled off the face and then put back on, in the correct position.
I also have been successful in setting the digital portion of the watch, but can not get the watch to match this. I am not sure which city is closest to me - frustrated that I can not find anything to tell me what the abbreviations mean! Also, I can not get my second hand to set - I have been 9 mins fast for years now! I do not want to bring my watch to a jeweler every time the time changes. Honestly do not understand why we have to change to D.L.S.T! Surely someone (corporations) make more money this way!
Use crown to change mode to CHR position. Pull crown out 2 clicks. Use A button to select MIN in display, keep turning crown and after a long time, you will notice that the UTC display is moving. Set UTC so both hands are at the 12 position. Push crown back in.
I've followed your video, and the watch still does not match with the digital clock. The hour hand is right, but the minute hand is off. Do u recommend anything further to do. I've had this problem for a few years now?
I have several watches but I always seem to gravitate back to my old reliable Black Eagle. Great watch for me.
I bought this watch almost 25 years ago. Recently changed the capacitor. Works 100%
Price of this Watch?

This worked wonderfully for titanium skyhawk not bad for a 20yr old watch

The video shows you how to zero the hands
Mine is just flashing UTC with 12:00???
How do I add ghana? Will the ghana time show in the digital display? On video its showing a - sign not the actual time.
Set it using the UTC otherwise watch the video again from 9:15 secs frame
And add ACC representing Accra
Does it have a light for the digital display
No
No
Is it me or does the video skip at 11:30ish when setting time?
So cool ,so helpful ! By the way I got one for sale. Just saying ....

You have to spin the hour hand continuously, many times, until the 24 hour hand matches it at the zero point.

I have the same issue. 24 hour hands are 2hours off, no amount of spinning fixes it as they are linked. Ever fix the issue?
