I know there's an argument that can be made for any game, that a format that's too diverse means it's impossible to properly prepare. That being said, nothing feels so out the box in reg H when you're playing that it's impossible to deal with if you've built well. Really loving the format so far.
@@ScooteezyVGCplease do! These videos are really helpful especially for people looking for more mons to build teams with/around. I’d also kill right now for a video detailing how to deal with mausApe and archaludon (with or without Pelipper) be it strategic choices or mon choices, I’m sure I’m not the only one struggling.
Same but I can only guess it wasn't as bulky as needed to do the damage needed and it would possibly waste a Tera when it's needed for something else. But that's just a thought and experience that I've have with volca
Love Pokémon and do a lot with it, but I’ve always struggled with the meta in VGC. This regulation has me hyped and I’m going all in! Your videos have been so helpful in the process. Thank you for what you do!!
I am doing a Balance Fire/Water/Grass team with Basculegion as well, but I use Adaptability plus Life Orb since even with -1 from Intimidate it'll 1 shot Incineroar outside of Rain, but was struggling to add the other 3 pokemons, but now your video gave me some ideas on what I could run!
thoughts on grassy seed volcarona? can allocate more evs to offense to be more of an immediate threat and make the threat of one quiver dance be potentially devastating making it a faster threat. 4 def evs with grassy seed is 129 defense.
I think at that point you’d either want leftovers for more consistent HP recovery with the grassy terrain or specs for more damage. I’m not sure whether the hp recovery from lefties + terrain is worth more than the defense from grassy seed in terms of damage mitigation. Might be worth a test.
Hi, thanks for the educational video! A bit of feedback - Just adding a "Part 2" at the end confused me for a second if it was a reupload . Maybe you could make the title "Another 15 of..."? Cheers!
Am I the only one who runs loaded dice greninja. Good speed control and when set up right in weather he can output a disgusting amount of damage. I’m currently experimenting with water tera, water shuriken weather ball. In the rain, water shutiken can ohko a rillaboom and weather ball gives it protean stab in all weathers in case rain is overwritten. I’m thinking haze and grass knot to deal with dondozo but decidueye (another fav) deals with him quite handily
I think it's utility outside of being a fighting type just isn't as good right now, you could make it work, but I think you better off looking at things like hisuian Decidueye, Tauros ect
I have volc rilla gyarados in my builder, makes for a really good balance core. Though trying to find the perfect 3 mons for the next 3 slots has been a fairly difficult task
@@mr.goodcat1810 maybe, priority is something volc is pretty weak to so i could see giraffe and also tw also good with volc. ig murk or talon works here. i like bm for another attacker but i feel preferably something that can hit on the physical side but idk what to put
What EV Spreads would you give Whimsicott? Struggling to find a decent spread. I kinda want to go Max Speed + Max SpA, but it's a slower format, so idk if Max Speed is necessary.
Max max is fine on sash sets, I don't have a cloak set I 100% believe in yet, but I think having a tera that allows you to live both brave bird and make it rain is important
I called palafin would be mid really early and it looks like I'm being proved right looking at the recent tournaments. Giving up momentum + mono water coverage is so crippling in this format
What do you think about basculegion f? I'm using it a bit and for me its much better than male version. Modest tera grass life orb muddy water, shadow ball, ice beam and tera blast hit like a truck . Of course paired with wide guard pelliper
I've seen Female Legion do some stuff, also pairs well with scarf + surf next to gastro, but it's biggest issue is it doesn't have a strong last respects like the male version
as someone just getting into VGC I'd appreciate it if you talked a little about EV spreads, thats honestly what im struggling with a lot rn. I know you did for someone mons which was a great but just more of it would be great!
I don't like covering EVs too much early in a format as spreads change very quickly and unless it's specific it can get outdated as things develop, but with the format dropping soon, I will be dropping more teams, and as I cover them, I will try to explain why I have EVd them the way I did
I actually think people are sleeping on Infernape (blaze, jolly, focus sash) Fake out, upper hand, temper flare, close combat. With fire tera. Been using it on showdown and no one respects it but its so good!
I love Infernape I run mine mixed with overheat and Cc taunt fake out. Basically won me a multi battles tourney. It came to every battle and absolutely dominated
Spore will put all types besides grass to sleep, but there are items like safety goggles that will stop spore, abilities like vital spirit that prevent sleep and if you're referring to gholdengo, it's ability good as gold prevents all status moves
The existence of this video and the potential to like make another one feels like the sign of a healthy format
@@NT_Escanor I reckon I could easy make another one too

@@iagoagogo I agree with this too as the ladder can be hella unpredictable
I was shocked I didn't seen more volcarona on worlds to counter threats like zamazenta and Caly ice, so I hope it gets more use now
