I want to say I REALLY appreciate the breakdown of how you ev your mons in the beginning of the video. Idk if many others like that part of the video, but for me its the highlight. EVing mons is, imo, the hardest skill to develop in pokemon. Coming up with correct ev spreads is crucial and, as you alluded to in your amoongus and flutter sections, it can be the difference between winning and losing. Truthfully thank you for taking the time to explain this stuff. I greatly appreciate it. Keep up the great work and have a nice day!

Europe is somewhat infamous for using weird and unconventional strategies that the rest of the VGC community (vgcc?) isn't paying much attention to. It's kind of crazy how we're still considered a very strong region despite a lot of European players using dogwater mons and trying to find some use for them. Wolfey says something about this in the beastcoast Pokémon podcast episode that came out after this tournament back in April, I recommend checking that out for a more detailed post tournament report from him.
European players are crazy. One guy in the UK made the probably biggest gamble in all of Pokemon by using a bright powder sand veil garchomp and played some of the funniest games I've ever seen😂 If you type in "probably the luckiest game in vgc UK 2012" you'll find a masterpiece of tilt. They banned sand veil shortly after this incident😂

wolfe's vids have reintroduced me to vgc for the first time since 2019, when ironically his 2016 worlds victory was what inspired me to start in the first place. these videos are so high effort it's insane, not only are the stories and analysis entertaining but I'm also learning more about the modern day competitive scene. Calling chien pao, a sabertooth tiger, a "weasel" is crazy 😭💀 Also, as a trans man, thank you for saying that trans rights amoongus joke, even though it was a joke from the meme, a lot of the general gaming community can be toxic/transphobic sometimes so it means a lot to hear someone with such a huge following be so outspoken!! I know this topic has nothing to do with pokemon, but even something as little as just acknowledging transgender people's presence and visibility, feels great to see. Plus, trans rights amoongus + homophobic ferrothorn is just funny as hell. Great vid as always, in Wolfey we trust 🫡

Ghost Trick music during the fluttermane segment was surprising. Nice taste editor
Ghost Peak
Since this video has come out searches for Flower Veil has hit an all time high.
XD
Honey, I need to cancel our lunch date, a new Wolfey video just dropped
Turn that into a movie date instead
Completely understandable 🤝
Damn what an ending to the video. Great stuff. Amongus is truly the most supportive ally.
This feels like wolfey is an anime villain who just decided to start trying after the protag barely beat them.
I loved watching the teambuilding process part of this one more than any other video, it's way more in-depth in explaining how you approached training every Pokémon and even as an experienced VGC player, I learned a ton and will definitely apply it in my future teambuilding endeavors. Thank you, Wolfey!
Bro dropped at 1 AM. No love for the Aussie viewers.
Amen
It may be 1am but I'm still watching.
Sydney gonna Sydney. 😂
hello from melbourne!
Hahaha jokes on you guys I'm just waking up
Bro dropped at 5 pm here in germany, perfect saturday evening entertainment 😊
Multi-hour Wolfey content is what I live for
Shoutout to you and the team, the production value of a video of such lenght is crazy good and these are always such a delight. Your storytelling abilities are just unmatched
Every time I watch one of these tournament recaps, I discover something else that is TERRIBLE about how these tournaments are run. That resistance system is INCREDIBLY stupid for excluding day one.
Kudos to the people who put up with how awful VGC is run, I will never understand how people do that
wolfe's vids have reintroduced me to vgc for the first time since 2019, when ironically his 2016 worlds victory was what inspired me to start in the first place. these videos are so high effort it's insane, not only are the stories and analysis entertaining but I'm also learning more about the modern day competitive scene. Great vid big man
Opposing Sun Team: *Menacing Aura*
Wolfey: Oh God I need to pee
The incineroar/fluttermane speed check combo was the most genius thing I've ever seen in anything competitive ever.
I lovedddd the super long team breakdown at the beginning. Haven't even got to the battles but had to comment 45 mins in... amazing job so far!!
Thanks to the Wolfey team for the insane production quality.
I would say "I love math," but I would be lying and I can't do that in good conscience.
0:57 I can't believe this whole time Wolfey was only using a mere fraction of his full power
Babe wake up, Wolfey talks 18 Minutes about the depths of his Amoongus.
I really love this theory parts of your videos. I don't really like to play competitive Pokemon but I really love the whole theory behind it.
Nothing hits like some wolfey pokemon at 3 in the morning
Wolfeys partner pokemon would defo be incineroar. Dude secretly loves that mon
Bro put Amoongus into the Blue Lock program "I'm a Striker" 😂😂😂
By technicality it actually takes incineroar 0 seconds to show up because he is the first thing you see before opening the video (He's in the thumbnail)
Omg, I never knew you all recreated an entire lighting engine and modeled the 3D Poke'mon used in the videos. That's an insane amount of work, respect to your team!
Commenting at 19 minutes into the video. I was so curious on how you got that Amoongus model so crisp like that. I love the amount of work put into this video already. Huge shoutout to everyone working in the background providing the art and animation and of course the editing of the entire video so far which is insane!
Calling chien pao, a sabertooth tiger, a "weasel" is crazy 😭💀
Also, as a trans man, thank you for saying that trans rights amoongus joke, even though it was a joke from the meme, a lot of the general gaming community can be toxic/transphobic sometimes so it means a lot to hear someone with such a huge following be so outspoken!! I know this topic has nothing to do with pokemon, but even something as little as just acknowledging transgender people's presence and visibility, feels great to see. Plus, trans rights amoongus + homophobic ferrothorn is just funny as hell.
Great vid as always, in Wolfey we trust 🫡
ferro knows what we all are….. it doesn’t support that kinda lifestyle… smh my head….
And of course he spends 20 minutes on a mushroom.
Dang usually mushrooms last few hours
1:24 Dudunsparce was highlighted S tier foreshadowing
you onto something
1:53:05 mega swampert plush
So glad amoonguss is a trans icon now
“Just like it’s important for somebody to hold me!” Really caught me off guard with a mouth full of food at dinner 😂
...i love math. i also love every single ace attorney reference in your videos. especially the music (i LOVE tgaa and hearing the ost while you're explaining competitive pokemon is a dose of serotonin), though the psyche-locks on amoonguss's moves were also a nice touch.
