Every now and then i get a game where Draco just picks up 4 OHKOs thanks to auto crit and nothing is more satisfying. Salazzle covers for steel/fairy types perfectly with slude/flmaethrower and dont sleep on its damage!
I'm happy that you tried the Annihilape and Whimsicott pair for a beat up team. I'm still searching for a good Assault vest Pokémon (with good bulk, a drainage move (with stab) and a priority move.) I've tried Conkeldurr in the past, but it's weakness for intimidate, status problems and fake out gave it some problems. I would be happy if Annihilape could do the job. But I put some other Pokémon under the radar. Like Passimian, it has defiant and a good move pool, or Trevenant, the only pokémon with two drainage moves, a priority move and even access to knock off (regrettable not enough bulk). Kommo-o was also an option, but it doesn't need assault vest. The same can be said about Ceruledge, that will be better with clear amulet. Hariyama is an option, but lacking a good ability. Rillaboom is also an option, but I don't want to use it.

I think it's going to be hard to fill that exact niche, I've played AV ape in the past and I do like it, but right now the best users are Rilla and arch
I like using gholdengo, clefable, hydriegon, pelipper, a swift swim user, and incin with fake out, parting shot, knock off and roar to get rid of the farigs trick rooms.

One of the first teams I made in Reg A was a Quaquaval team with Screech Murkrow. Shadypanguinne featured the team on his channel. I would love to see how you would recreate the team for Reg H.
Those teams look like really good ones, personally i think something like Ape/Maus/Arch/Peli/Basculegion or Palafin/Rillabom is a good core and something similar even won a tournament For Sand i have been personally thinking of Kommo/Ttar/Excadrill/Gyara/Rilla/Clefable which has been doing quite well for me I feel like a video detailing the best cores for every archetype can be very helpful, similar to the best cores around restricted mons

Try using it as a support mon! Assault vest with volt switch, wild charge, play rough and psychic fangs can be good for intimidate cycling while having good coverage and anti-screens. Or go pure bulk and use moves like light screen, howl, fake tears, or eerie impulse to disrupt your opponent. Eviolite luxio could work for the second option also, js lol
I have a question. why is Bo1 so much harder than Bo3 in terms of comp. I keep getting slaughtered in Bo1 low ladder (1100-1200), but when I tried Bo3 the competition is much less challenging?
perhaps, I am a fan of OTS because it allows me to predict my opponent better( instead of just guessing ). but it still feels like my opponents are much less skilled.
Catching Pokemon with good stats isn't too hard thanks to raids, I would suggest looking up videos particularly about EV training and breeding perfect Pokemon. But to start with I would say playing on Pokemon showdown is more efficient as you can change stats freely, much harder in game
I think a rain core would be the way to go, you could also try the power herb arch set, but I would say some for of speed control, I like farigiraf next to banded Pult
Scootzy, been testing Charizard and it’s broken. Like, miradon levels of boosting. With Specs, Sun, Solar Power, tera fire, and helping hand you ohko everything in the format pretty much, with Tera fire in sun you ohko Archaladon with heat wave. And your gonna be faster then almost all palafin and if you run it with farig you block priority, I made a team that pretty much Rajans Indy team swap Mira for zard and ogerpon for rillaboom (I might change it to amoongus for redirecting) but it’s a really fun and busted team, you should look into Zard, very under utilized.

Mienshao has historically been one of the best Counters, but without Calyrex next to it, it can be a little underwhelming imo
Build Mandibuzz sand. It is extremely bulky and with cloak+overcoat+dark it becomes very hard to disrupt while disrupting well
Mandi is a cool support piece right now, I'll have to look into it

In theory it sounds good the issue is setting up the pledge, getting in dudun, then getting speed control from TW/agility

perhaps, I am a fan of OTS because it allows me to predict my opponent better( instead of just guessing ). but it still feels like my opponents are much less skilled.
