The fact this blade exists is just wild. A high agility character with a middling short blade skill can become an absolute terror! Using Short blade does NOT mean shorting your damage!
This is my utmost favourite artifact in Morrowind. It has a special place in my heart because I found it by myself while wandering and exploring around. The joy, amazement and pride when I found it... never happened in any other game
So, fun fact for dealing with the dark brotherhood assassins early game specifically for mages. All the dark brotherhood assassins have the race of dark elf meaning they have a 75% resistance to fire, but I believe either in the starting town or Balmora's mages guild you can buy the frostbite spell for like 50 to 100 gold which will one to two shot the assassins.
I really wish Oblivion had stuff like this. The scaling really kneecapped the game's sense of discovery. I've always wanted to make a mod for it to place a lot of static good loot and tough enemies, but I can't exactly discover those things if I'm the one who placed them lol.
I used to use Obscuro's Oblivion Overhaul to remove scaling. Enemies became tougher with increasing distance from the Imperial City (and, to a lesser extent, from roads). The mod was impressive enough that Obsidian hired him.
Im bummed that this is a year old and only has 73 comments and such low views. Youre by far my favorite morrowind youtuber, i really appreciate you making such cool videos
JYYYYEAAA!! Fry the dark off a 800 yrs Dunmer and the fur off a kitten who tried to sneak I love the short blades cause you can go stab happy instead of measured swings. It's actually far more efficient when enchanted over heavy weapons!
The shortblade is cool as heck the lore behind the weapon was a nice touch but theres something I really have to know. How on earth did you so much as dip a toe in water without getting mobbed by the slaughterfish?!
Far from an encyclopedia of morrowind knowledge but dark hand dagger from very late morag tong rewards 10-25 absorb health for 30 seconds and blind 10-50% for 30 seconds is an absolute unit of a non player created short blade and while a lot more of a pain to get I'd take it any day in a duel. Awesome video and may our spear pikeman acquire more amazing items around morrowind!
A chitin dagger enchanted with 19 seconds of bound dagger with a "cast on strike" enchantment is pretty op too Works with any weapon, good even into late game i love my chitin/daedric spear 😊
They're nekkid cuz that's part of their madness! If you strip your character down in front of Dunmer, they treat you as if you've gone mad / as if something's wrong with you (b/c you're behaving like a Dreamer would, running around in ur skivvies)
I think black hands dagger is stronger over all its damage is spread thru out a longer time period but the maximum potential damage can be 770! With is really not probable because it would need do do tis max damage from the stats every second for 30 seconds, here are its stats: CHOP SLASH THRUST 9-20 9-20 9-20 ENCHANTMENTS Absorb Health 10-25 points for 30 seconds on Touch Blind 10-50 points for 30 seconds on Touch. But the dagger you have here has the highest base damage and the enchantment is pretty sweet too. Edit: someone made a similar comment to mine sorry for not checking lol
Gave y'alls EP a listen - I like the Morrowind reference right in the name! Reminds we of Weedeater but if they listened to a bit more Darkthrone haha. Dope stuff!
Idk man that naked Nord looking for the "witch" took me like 10 minutes to beat with my Redguard Warrior. He kept knocking me down so I had to use like 10 restore fatigue potions. Also I learned that the damage range on weapons is not random it has to do with holding the attack until it goes all the way back. So maybe you shouldn't attack so quickly? Maybe you could have one shot the Dagoth.
I have been playing a very modded Morrowind for a while, and I modded the Mamea dungeon to be more epic. I assumed this weapon was just an OP reward for the mod that extended the dungeon... 😅 They actually didn't change the dagger at all lmfao

Wow never ever found this dagger :D Hehe good thing I am atm building my new modlist for my new playthrough hehe might find this dagger this time around. (DId not look where this was) :D Dont wanna make it 2 easy
You know something. In twenty years of playing Morrowind, I don't think I've ever played a short blade character. Not that I think it's a bad skill. I just never wanted to.
Hahaha you sound like I did at 16 telling my big cousin I never really used magic. He just called me a dumbass. Lmao Actually the weapons I still prefer are short blades, blunt weapon, and spear. And spells.
@@CoffeeNutGaming That frost mace you get from the expansion tho. I forgot the name but I remember the damage was insane Looked it up, it's the Mace of Aevar Stone-Singer, 30-90 dmg + 8 frost dmg.
Keening is phenomenal for all its buffs to your stats, but if you are looking at raw damage output per strike, there are a few short blades that will best it.
English hard. At the start I say "in the base game INCLUDING DLC" - I should have said "in the base game AND DLC". I can see how that wording is confusing. Sorry about that. But, that being said, the Fang is the highest per hit damage of any short blade that you can get without custom enchantments. Tribunal and Bloodmoon included.
The fact this blade exists is just wild. A high agility character with a middling short blade skill can become an absolute terror! Using Short blade does NOT mean shorting your damage!
How to Thief when?
Morag tong dagger is the most powerful dagger in morroeind
Can u link your modlist?

I was building an archer/mage character and found that blade by sheer luck and curiosity to explore... In short I never used a bow again.
LOL I wouldn't either

This is why I love Rpgs. The sudden urge of loot in incomparable with anyone else
Not every level 1 character in Morrowind has problems against magic especially if they pick the Atronach birth sign I always pick that sign
Very true. That 50% spell absorption goes a long way.
@@CoffeeNutGaming plus the 3x int is amazing as well. Loving your Morrowind content keep it up 👍
OMG FINALLY SOMEONE WHO SHOWS THE MAP WHERE THE CAVE/MINE IS LOCATED
I have found this blade accidentally in one of my playthroughs while looking for another cave, I love the exploration in morrowind
3:10 Now you see the scrib.
3:15 Now you don’t!
And with only the magic of Editing, which is powerful magic indeed.

Man... I just found your channel and I absolutely love it. I am currently binge watching all of your Morrowind videos. The nostalgia is so real.
That's awesome to hear! Glad you're enjoying it 🤘
it's funny that its appearance resembles Mehrunes' razor so much and it is also an overpowered dagger.

Oh yeah! That super speed attack animation just piles on the enchant procs. So satisfying
8 views, the last time I was this early Trinimac was still about.
Love these videoes, I don't think I ever found any of these hidden weapons on my own.
I really like how u explain the lore of the weapons too that’s actually sick
The shortblade is cool as heck the lore behind the weapon was a nice touch but theres something I really have to know. How on earth did you so much as dip a toe in water without getting mobbed by the slaughterfish?!
I still cant answer that question myself haha
I randomly found this just 2 or 3 days ago then now I randomly find this video, life’s weird

Damage range for daggers is mostly not so spread, idea is you stagger with constant attacks
For “big” weapons - definitely hold for a sec and use hit and run

this Dagger is nice, but lock at the Black Hands Dagger, he is like the Vampiric Ring, but Stronger.

Fair enough. I can relate to that with Blunt Weapon - I just never seem to use it unless I'm specifically trying to level.
