Let's spread the vampire plague and miss out on NO content! Highly recommend a vampire playthrough if you have never done one, this quest is one of MANY available to only vampires. Anyone can get the ring, but few can get the backstory.
Great content man, do you have a preferred list of mods for first time Morrowind player to enhance the vanilla experience without altering the core experience?
For sure man... That's why I'm really looking forward to making my sister play Morrowind with me some day. Quests like this one are priceless, obscure, and tucked away with very specific requirements. Have you had any luck with multiplayer co-op Morrowind?
@@ma2perdue Been playing co-op with a friend. It's been 100% playable and a total blast. Also without the ability to savescum you can't cheese an enchant with low chance or pickpocketing.
@@stevy2 nice! Yea I've been working a whole lot lately but I need to learn about that. What happened when one of y'all die? How did you figure out how to set it up?
@@ma2perdue Afaik if one dies in the mp, the character basically just respawns on the last bed they slept in. But my last mp experience was well over 3 years ago, so that might have changed.
2:50 I used prolonged bouts of corprus to get a boost to my strength. In Morrowind, having an incurable wasting disease is more socially acceptable than being a vampire.
I have killed her probably a dozen times just for the ring. Had no idea she was apart of a quest. Two decades of my life several playthroughs a year and Im still learning new things.
I started a playthrough recently for the first time since I was a kid, came across this tomb by chance and I got her trapped in a half open door and just smacked the crap out of her for what felt like an eternity. Then I looted her and saw the ring, gotta love morrowinds loot system I just wish the more modern games were the same in that aspect.
The Fighters Guild send you on a quest to kill some bandit. The bandits are using the neighbouring cave as a hideout, having struck a deal with Marara to lure in bounty hunters and have them run straight through the cave into the Ancestral Tomb whereupon she will take them as prey. I found this out after running straight through said cave and right into the clutches of the vampire. Turns out the bandits are hiding in the ceiling and you need levitation or jump to get up there.
Oddly enough, I remember this quest. I didn't miss it. I was doing a full vampire playthrough with some expanded powers and longer nights mods and such. Included were a few QoL things like certain helmets that hid your face don't let people know you're a vampire as well as the ability to use persuasion on essentially anyone to get them to talk to you if you bribe them enough. It certainly didn't make the game easy but it made the game *playable* and I went out of my way to do all the vampire related quests. I ran into this one by complete accident though and it was very memorable because I was playing a breton atronach with some heavily defensively enchanted gear. I threw one spell at her, it reflected, and I oneshot myself. It was very funny. I also remember wondering if the quest turned out different if you were human. Now I know!
Well, that's tonight's Morrowinds OP artifact of choice sorted. Just grabbed the Bearclaw helm last night. I love how you can build utterly OP toons in Morrowind which is great as I played Morrowind for hundreds of hours when it was realised and never got anywhere. We are spoiled with these guides these days. Good work.
There's actually a good bit of content in the factions, you just shut off the rest of the world when you become a vampire. Oh, and you can only cure vampirism once as well. Bethesda certainly didn't make it easy.
lol I remember in the strategy guide that came out with the game had a very long warning about trying to become a vampire. It was like "it isn't game breaking per say but you're gonna be playing a different game for a while."
I nearly freaked out when I first met her because of how fast she and other vampires are. It felt good to finish her off and that is a sweet ring as well.
I randomly stumbled upon her in a recent playthrough. I never encountered her before so I assumed it was one of my mods or something. Really powerful vanilla ring, damn.
Been a while since I tried talking to her this way. But I recall being able to talk to her if you cast a high enough calm spell on her which allows you to complete the quest without becoming a vampire. Been a while so not sure if it actually completes the quest but I definitely remember talking to her this way. I tend to make a calm spell with a high level anyway because there are quite a few trainers that are initially hostile to the player that are easily missed. So can cast the spell and increase disposition to get training later on.
The best way to temporarily be a vampire is to do Aundae clan. You get the Darksun Shield and Eltonbrand, then cure yourself and use Boots of Blinding Speed and you'll be hitting hard while running at the speed of sound without noticeable fatigue loss.
@@tartardealer7859 The 2nd Aundae quest lets you fight a vampire hunter with a mace and shield that you can only use after you're cured of vampirism. And if you have a resist magicka 100% spell, you can negate its constant effect magicka drain and keep the positive effects like constant effect restore fatigue. The vampire hunter doesn't appear without that quest activating though.
I killed her during the hunt for Rels Tenim, and honestly I find her ring quite nice. Yeah it's not insanely good, but it's alright, its 10 acrobatics is a nice movement boost.
the best way to be a vampire is to do the game normaly and when doing the quests to become neverine you get vampirism, then do all the vamp quests, get cured and complete the quest to become immune to all diseases
Well dang! I got hit with the vampire disease once and, having read up on UESP about how tough it'd be to play as one, ran straight for the nearest healer to get rid of it! I'll have to uh... be intentional this time about catching it so I can get that journal entry 🤓
I missed all but 3 vampiric quests. Im always putting it for later, because it need a little more planning. have to be carefull not to kill certain vamps, getting just enough of resources before becoming a sucker ect.
calm humanoid could work for the entry's to right? she should still talk not sure if you could chose to kill her though not being a vamp. i guess a living god isn't good enough for some people. my only regret is Sil was dead so I couldn't soul trap him too. I wish they had bound shoulder pads as well so you can get the full armor set from magic. making my ring of armors complete.
can you finish the main quest being a vampire? i wonder if you could just use telvanni bug musk or something fortifying personality to cheese your way into the rewards🤷♂️🤷♂️🤞
Lmao I found this ring by accident in my recent playthrough and I wasn't a vanpire, didn't realise it was a quest 😅 had a lot of trouble with that enemy at the staggering level of 10
I have never been a vampire in Morrowind, so I doth wonder: If you get two Exquisite Rings, Enchant them with Constant Restore Health to get a Magnitude of 21+ to counter the Sun damage, and have a passive restore on your health. Would that work, or does restore spells not work in general for them?
Can someone tell me what song that is that he's using in the very beginning? I'm sure I've heard that in a game I played years ago, but I can't quite tell which one it was. The Witcher maybe?

Kill the mage guild leader too
Which one

I love this ring. I usually get it from completing a Fighters Guild quest that is literally next door.
There are so many great rings in Morrowind. Need three hands

@@CoffeeNutGaming is there enough charm spells and telvani bug musk to get people to talk to you again?
11:05 She blocks 90% in total because she's a vampire and one of the buffs that vampirism gives is 50% normal weapon resistance.
I killed her in three hits with my ebony sword on maximum difficulty but probably because my sword deals Fire damage and Fire Weakness .
@@BaldianOfIbelin also ebony weapons are not counted as a normal weapons.

Depending on which bloodline of vampire infects you will also decide if you miss out on a very cool quest.

Just in time for the harvest season. 👻
Have you done a video on the daedric helmets? That would be cool to see.

Restore health CE enchantments are amazing for vampires down to even completely negating sun damage

battlemage build when ? also good vid
Will Calm Humanoid work on Marara?
is Vivec, Almelexia, Dagoth Ur, etc vampires?
The mod I consider essential is Accurate Combat. You can get hits almost every time. The dice roll combat stops a lot of people from playing.
Hmm how about a playable slaughterfish mod
