You hit it right on brother. I started riding around 8 yrs. old. I am now 57 and would have to say that MX was the best life experience ever. Dive into your soul, face your fears and deal with pain as a consequence if you get hurt. Life lesson, "don't make that mistake again". That's life in a nutshell.

I'm going to be 33 in 2 weeks and I bought my very first dirt bike a year ago (2001-'02 YZ125) and I've done nothing but work, rebuilt the engine completely rode it for 10 mins and the piston seized up... did another tear down and replaced piston and rode it for less than 10 mins and the piston grenaded... nothing but one obstacle after another but I've put more and more blood sweat and tears into her and I don't even know how to ride yet... the closer I get to having my bike ready to kick over the more adrenaline and anxiety overcomes me but this has been a lifelong dream just to ride a dirt bike and I'm going to make it a reality if it's the last thing I do! Plus I live for adrenaline! THANK YOU TYLER AND ALL OF YOU AT MX FACTORY FOR ALL THAT YOU GUYS DO! I LIVE ON YOUR CHANNEL RELIGOUSLY AND EVERYTHING I THINK I KNOW AND EVERYTHING I TAKE HEED OF IS EVERYTHING YOU PRESENT AND INSTRUCT! BEEN A FAN SINCE DAY ONE! I GREATLY APPRECIATE AND VALUE ALL THE WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE YOU'VE SHARED WITH THE WORLD! YOU ARE TRULY A LEGEND IN OUR TIME HERE AND NOW AND I CONGRATULATE YOU FOR MAKING IT TO WHERE YOU ARE TODAY! I AM EXTREMELY GRATEFUL TO BE A PART OF YOUR AUDIENCE!

I'll be starting on dirt bikes this weekend. I've done atvs and street bikes for years, but these things are scary. I'm not looking to race or MX, but get up to trails and maybe a touch of Enduro at most. I've set some goals on learning, found and studied drills to perform, got my gear ready, and am really excited to overcome the fears.
I seem to have found this video at the right time. Your videos have been a great help. :)

Recently when I bought my 2021 YZ250, i was indeed nervous even though I have been riding for years now. I think that whenever you try something new or even just get a new bike, you will be nervous to try it out. But Seat time will take away most of your first time fear! A few weeks later, and now i’m shredding the trails with my YZ with tons of confidence!

How long before I stop getting passed by Old, and umm, VERY ROUND, guys😆? It’s mostly in the jump sections my cornering has improved 100% since starting the class but still needs polishing.
I really gave the, power forward and brake back a work out this weekend on the Turn track, Woods Track, at 3Palms Saturday. It was awesome and thank you very much.

Haven’t been on a bike for years. Got a TTR 125 this past weekend. I was freaking terrified riding around our field yesterday. Only got to 2nd gear and was shaking. Not giving up though. I’ll be 60 in a few months. I think that is causing more fear in me. What if I fall? All those negative thoughts going on in my head. My son and husband race, so I just want to be able to ride around a bit. Thank you for this video. It helped to know others feel terrified at first too!

As a tween I once rode a dirt bike in my family’s country farm and when we stopped my older cousin that was coaching me of me I could prob do it by myself but after about a solid 40 seconds of still just shaken the bike started to tip over and I accidentally leaned in with the fall and I pulled the clutch accidentally and accidentally reved the engine really hard and I jumped off and it went flying so to this Day I want to ride a dirt bike but don’t have the courage

I crashed on a street riding my bike, In the first second my front wheel slipped i already knew what is going to happen and why i failed and what to do. That was some experience, i stopped hard in no time like from 60kmh to 0 after just 4 maybe 5 meters. Front wheel and the bike went in to roadside crash barrier i stopped on my belly on the handbar. First thaught was - ok i'm alive, how's the bike. Some people helped me and i said after a minute or two that I'm good and I'm just gonna ride the bike... well first attempt to get up and it was clear that emergency will be needed. Went to hospital, met some really nice people, a nice guy took care of my bike, sent his daughter to pick me up from hospital, we were dating etc. After a month i was back on a bike. Since that time I'm kinda different man, lots of things changed in my head. Except one, i still ride that bike like i stole it. But lots of my friends gave up riding after some crash or because they were scared after my crash, family things and other shit. I say if you won't crash you won't learn and won't know how does that feel like. Best crash i had in my life ! :) it is not scary if you crazy enough to find joy even in a crash.

Skill understanding, confined knowledge when you see an obstacle in front of you! It boils down to one thing only practice builds it! Confidence you going to take risk but you got to outweigh factors to minimize the risk that's what the man is teaching you here and on AJ's Channel

M’y second day riding was today, and first time on a 250wrf ( my first day was on a ttr125). Got very impressed and scared at beginning but started building confidence as the hours passed. Then at the end I got too confident on a jump and forgot I was a noobie. Really couldn’t explain what happen but I ended up not controlling the bike AND turning the gas handle inadvertently making things worse. Very quickly after landing I ended up projected over the handle bars. Luckily I tucked in time and rolled it off on the ground. Hurt my hand, and mostly my shoulder that still hurts this evening. Hopefully it will get better. Realized I need to take things a bit slower (I did decent freestyle snowboard and play ice hockey, so used to stupid sports that hurt, but nothing is as scary and hurt as much as motocross). I hope I’ll be able to master the bike soon and not be scared when not attempting new things !

I was probably 7 when I first started riding, but a few years later I stopped for some reason. I’m pretty sure it’s because my sister broke her collarbone during a race. Being so young, seeing the helicopter come down, and observing her long healing process really made me scared to continue the sport. Honestly, giving it up is my biggest regret. Fast forward some years, I’m now 15 years old and my dad and I found a great deal on a ttr125 that we’re picking up next weekend. Im much more excited than I am nervous, but I still have that little fear somewhere in the back of my mind. Im pushing myself to get out of my comfort zone at this point in my life, because I’m tired of holding myself back from life with my fears. In the end, everything fun is going to be a little dangerous… I know that if I’m smart about it, do my research, and get advice from my dad, I have nothing to worry about. (Your videos help me out SO MUCH and make me feel much more confident in myself, so thank you so much man!)

It’s an unnatural feeling to have all that to work in between your legs and all of the weight, not including your own body weight, but you’re in control.. I define adrenaline as life. Have you ever had the luxury of toying around on a super fast, supercharged JetSki? I started off, trying to learn how to go backwards in a straight line, and then forwards and backwards in a straight line, etc. etc. but the raw power still just gets me giddy but balancing on a bike, even a mountain bike on scary terrain can be scary . I did a few tough trails as a beginner because I’m stubborn and luckily I haven’t had a concussion yet but on a bike that was way too big with underinflated tires. And then I started riding dirt bikes and realized it’s all about weight.. it’s a motorcycle that weighs more than you, taller than it should be. More powerful than what is considered dangerous. But like I said, it’s all about adrenaline.
