    I like your very good explanation of when and why you want to use a sealer, plus darker sealers for darker colors.
    I know car painters that always go with a light gray for all colors.

    Interesting video Mr Teacher Sir😁 this would have been very useful a few months back when I was have bad dieback on the final finish but only when using sealer, I found a brand of sealer that I could use but of course it was totally user error as now I can use the other brands of sealer that was giving me the problems, it was just me over applying it putting it on to heavy and thick.
    The sealer in my scheme is tintable by adding 2K gloss colours to it so I'll be using that again when my current one is used up, thanks for all your videos Mario I have learnt so much from you and Brian👏👏👍John UK.
    Here's some 🍎🍎for teacher🥰😂

    Hail up Mario. Can you kindly cover the preparation process involved with colour changes? I would really appreciate it. Thank you. Also, Mario, when do one use solvent cleaner as opposed to water-based cleaner? Cheers bredrin.

      Bless up Francis. I’ll see what I can do on the color change process. The only real difference is that the water will give you a deeper clean. I use both, water first and then solvent.

    I need to paint the rear bumper on my 07 vibe and do you think I should use a sealer before the new base coat or will a good scuffing be sufficient? Thanks

      I recommend sealing. That way your paint doesn’t flake off in a few months

    How do you prep the outside of the door once on the car? Sand and clean with waterborne cleaner on the basecoat?

    • @mariopaintclass6091
      @mariopaintclass6091  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Once on the car I scuff it up with a grey scuff pad and clean with solvent cleaner. I’m using solvent base paint btw. I usually wait until the next day to do this tho.

    Whats the difference between 1k sealers and 2k. I know one takes hardner but when do I or don't I wanna use one over the other??

    • @mariopaintclass6091
      @mariopaintclass6091  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So it’s exactly as you said one requires hardener and one don’t. As for when to use which that would depend on your time frame. Due to the fact that the 1k dries faster.

    1 thing to keep in mind is that not all sealers are made the same. Ive used RM sealer(not the Adpro) for years and its garbage, does not go on smooth at all, the RM Adpro sealer is much better, While the Cromax sealer goes on super smooth and never had any issues with it.

    Hi mario!. How about if spraying the whole car same color, does it always require sealer as well? Usually if its the same color, we seldom use sealer due to the color already the same coverage.

    • @mariopaintclass6091
      @mariopaintclass6091  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think I rushed this video. But you only need sealer when spraying new parts. Or if you have too much burn through and you don’t want to work harder.

    I am not painter but i am trying to repaint my car.
    At timemark 4:00 i see little spots that are shiny on the fender panel, is this enough sanding to paint over? Ive been doing 400GRIT DA until i see not gloss left. Im asking because now im thinking im doing extra work.

    • @mariopaintclass6091
      @mariopaintclass6091  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s better to sand out all the gloss on the body lines and the edges will look a little shiny because you don’t want to burn it especially if it’s a blend.
