I have a 2016 Mustang GT/CS with 6R80 trans and roush 2.3 blower with 52lb injectors VMP fuel pump booster and 82mm pulley VMP tuned. I used the ELM327 for the forscan boost gauge setup. Works great! Awesome instructions. A note to people who have never used FORscan-If you use the ELM327 you have to also get the 2 month free trial extended license registration key. You also have to have good knowledge of Windows compatible computers.
Gotta love have stock gauges change in an instant. A simple number change and you have a boost gauge. That's cool. Didn't know about that. Gonna have to look up more on the FORScan software. Thanks for the Awesome info.

I have 3 project Mustangs, 64.5 coupe, 88 vert LX, and 96 GT. My 3 favorite body styles! I went to UNOH for Automotive, High Performance and Alternative Fuels. So I need to keep up on the software for the customers that want their cars tuned. But it's hard to get started when no one knows you and you're always broke from bills, but that's life. Again, thanks for the link to FORScan software and I am going to research more on what it can do. It is very interesting to know what these new computer systems can do. Thanks for the info much cheaper and less hassle than buying a boost gauge, a gauge mount and running wires ect. My friend has both a manual and the electronic FORscan conversion. It’s pretty damn accurate!!!

I have a 2020 Non Performance package Mustang gt with the dash panel with out the Gauges I want to add the Performance pack Gauges Got the panel from a wrecked GT Donor car I know when I Swap it out The oil pressure reading won't be a problem but how do I change or connect for it to read the vacuum boost What must I add or change Any feedback would be appreciate thanks!! 👍
@@nicholasborrelli7544 It will work. Figured out particular to my setup that I have a check valve in place with my catch can which prevented it from reading boost. Installed a analog boost gauge instead.
@@motiv8d111 you essentially just told me I was right - otherwise you would not have gotten an analog guage.... Blowers have different tunes, maf locations, different equipment, etc. Sometimes the factory boost guage in the cluster either doesn't read at all or doesn't read correctly....just like yours...
How do you find what value you need to change it to for your specific application. Because I have a 21 with the 401a and all of the values are completely different
Could the drive modes be activated on a non 301A car? Seems like the only thing activating the modes is the toggle on the 301A car...Forscan should be able to activate drive modes and put them in the menu...Wishful thinking maybe lol..

Well then it started griping about DTCs and the comment box said something about if my car has a tune I need to reload the defaults. That's when I backed out. So maybe this will help someone. And I will live to fight another day....and try it again. It looks like the shortcut didn't work for me. My car is the typical roush 727 HP, smaller pulley stuff - - - 2016 premium 6 speed
Tunnel Chaser well you see lol. Only if you bought the Roush stage 3 car. But technically no S550 has came from the factory with a blower yet 😞. Ford needs to release the GT500 already.
Einar Ingi Einarsson if you get the elm327 with the HScan and MS can switch. I was using a Ford vcmm to connect the laptop to the car. It has HS and MS can abilities that you would need to do this also. You can erase the code but if the problem is a hard fault it will come right back on.

Methstang thank you! That device will not work with FORScan. My tuner has that device also because he tunes with hp tuners. He still has to have a elm327 device to use FORScan. I used a VCMM, that and vcm2 works also. Make sure when you get a elm327 to get the one with the switch for high and med speed can. You can get them off amazon.
Great video as always and just a heads, up I switched out my stock pp gauge set with a stock pp ecoboost gauge set which is a direct fit and it looks and works great! I’m running about 15lbs of boost with a similar setup as yours.

Omar Almaghrabi the numbers before the digit you change may be different but you just have to change the one digit I showed and this will work for you.
Mike Jackson this one on that car read 10 and it was running 10-11 on a manual gauge. Now the GT500 isn’t reading correctly. It’s running 13-14 but gauge shows 10-11. I do agree it’s no where near as accurate as if it had a sensor to read. It’s a hit or miss and has a lot to do with tune since it’s using an inferred setup.
Methstang go to the FORscan download page and there is a link that says link to extended key generator. Click on that and it will take you to the forums where you get the free key. Register then wait for approval, once approved go to the bottom button on the FORScan software, looks like a steering wheel. Click on that and you will see a hardware Id that has a copy button next to it. Click on that to copy then go back to the key generator link, sign in and paste the hardware Id that you copied into it and it will generate you a key file save that to your desktop. Go back to the software to the steering wheel then click the load button and load in the file you saved to desktop. Hope this helps. You can message me on Instagram if you need more assistance.

Who is the car tuned by? If it had a custom tune you will need the OS code to put in to get it to recognize the car.

The stock 2015+ mustang gt boost is inferred. There is no m.a.p sensor so this will not read right
Mike Jackson correct it is inferred. As is the GT500 stock boost gauge.
My 2015 would say 2psi boost stock and now with a supercharger it says 20+ and I’m nowhere near that

dhsw41800 no this only changes your instrument cluster. Doesn’t do anything with the PCM programming.
