@@TheLemonFactor I have oil leak on my valve cover and I was really happy when I saw this video. Thank you for the great explanation and video.

@A-IGarage good luck with the replacement. You’ll save a ton of money doing it yourself compared to what a dealership would charge.

A Sportcross hell yea! Pretty sure my SC300 is leaking from the VC right now, my other car is a 02 Sportcross so this is a treat to see.

Glad you found the channel 😁. I was very tempted to get an SC300, but needed the 4 doors of the IS. Someday 🤔🤷‍♂️

@@TheLemonFactor I kind of wish I had gone for a 400 instead, considering I plan to keep my Sportcross mostly stock or at least Oem+. Currently using the SC as a daily driver to keep the IS in the garage after dailying it for 5 years. Getting parts for these cars is probably my biggest fear going forward. There are so many luxury/power things going out on my SC that even trying to replace them wouldn't be worth it. Power sunroof/steering wheel, finnicky drivers window. Both interior door panels are trashed and to even hope to get one in good condition is $500 a piece, likely double. Cracked leather and dash everywhere. Everything mechanical works phenomenally well even after 210k miles, but I can't shake the fact that if it were a Toyota Soarer with cloth seats and general 90s Toyota economy gear that it'd somehow be in a better place today.
Edit: For reference, I live in Arizona so there's zero rust but we have the 120F+ summer heat to beat down on leathers and plastics. Also straight roads as far as the eye can see lol.

@RandomBlake2564 do you perform all the work yourself?

@@TheLemonFactor I do, yes. Aside from things like alignments.
