We're thrilled to see people so excited about Snap! Thanks for helping get the word out. (Is your game up to date, by the way? v2.2 adds a mechanic that makes it harder to accidentally pick up weapons you don't want!)
I wouldn't be surprised if the Memoirs of Magic dev had a helping hand in this, looking from the visuals and gameplay touches. Let alone in both of them modifying Doom. Gotta try this out.
Imagine if, instead of Doom and Mortal Kombat, we got stuff like Snap the Sentinel. What if we had the first FPS games be brightly colored yet mature instead of dark and edgy? (Take this any way you want, it's an interesting question regardless.)
@@nondayz593 Huh, really? I would've thought they'd removed all of the Doom assets by now, or y'know, never used them in the first place like GZDoom ipk3s do.
I can't say I get the appeal of having a plot premise which is simultaneously this elaborate and this nonsensical. What is even the villain's end goal here?
Playing it you get a Captain Planet meets Eggman vibe. Don't think about it too much... and it also isn't finished so we don't really know. Conrad's entertaining when he's on screen though.
@@TheWolfgangGrimmer Oh it hasn't. I just mean the story is like parody-esque. Kinda "don't take it too seriously". Feels very early 90's like Captain Planet, Sonic, and all that.

I didn't see the update until I got footage of the Patreon page. 😅 I appreciate the feature and I am looking forward to future updates.
This looks really good! Can't wait to see more progress on it

Literally the second I saw gameplay I knew exactly what you meant

The game looks, sounds, and seems to play amazing. Thank you for making the video, i didn't know about it.
Seems pretty decent for a total conversion
the fact that people are doing stuff like this with id tech 1 is nuts
It´s gzdoom. Its based on the source code of idtech1 but with major enhancements for modern systems.
Underrated TH-camr
Game looks fantastic.
Looks awesome.
reminds me of gunstar heroes and dynamite heady too!
I see some mega man too
This game's art style looks like Looney Tunes and I love it.
the powerup system is similar to ricochet
Try a similar Doom mod: The Golden Souls 2.
So is this a Doom mod, or an SRB2 mod?
doom
SRB2 is a Doom mod.
@@nondayz593 Only if you count the engine though, which is Doom Legacy-based. Aside from that, it shares nothing with Doom.
@@plazmasyt It can still be considered as a doom mod and you can quite literally spawn doom enemies in it

@@UtterSpartan Not sure how much that comparison helps, what little I've seen of Captain Planet hasn't aged super well.^^

ᴘʀᴏᴍᴏsᴍ
i dont like the mod
Nobody's problem but yours.
You've got terrible taste, it's one of the best mods that exists for doom. The polish is off the charts.
