What a really beautiful floating mosque in KK Sabah. You definitely looked well attired for the visit. I think the birds, the white cranes are everywhere in Malaysia. I saw lots of them at the Gombak river near Bandar Baru Sentul where I used to live and I also saw few of them in front of my house in Kuantan.

All Malaysian nationals are Malaysian regardless of ethnicity, maybe what you meant is Malay, but in east Malaysia Muslim are not necessarily Malay unlike in the peninsular where Malaysian Muslim born there are automatically considered as Malay. The locals are mostly from the indigenous tribe but there are also from migrant ethnicity.

22:35 I don't understand your train of thoughts when you said you don't know if the tribes in Sabah are Malaysians. It's simple really... Indigenous people in Malaysia are (by right) Malaysian citizens. However, some people who live deep in rural areas sometimes find it hard to register births and they have to struggle to get citizenship (can be resolved but do take time). Then there are also children of Malaysian with a non Malaysian, etc. (non-Malaysians on the basis of technical issues which can be resolved). Then again... there are many illegal immigrants in Sabah. You aren't able to differentiate between them because we SEA have similar looks to the eyes of foreigners. Just like south Americans who cross over the border to the US. Then, they are not Malaysian citizens even if they are the same tribe as in Sabah. We are a people of this region divided by borders... more so on this island of Borneo which is shared by three countries.
