    wow...I just literally got a Yaris Cross Premium Lux in Thailand and the price tag is 20K GBP, it's very similar to this one BUT with LOTS of differences. Mine has panoramic-sunroof which go further back to the rear passenger seats, addressing the lack of light you're talking about in this video 😅 it also comes with pollution filtering AC system and the front windscreen that has High Solar Energy Absorb technology to reduce heat in this country....other items also a lot more luxurious from this one - i'm a bit shocked Toyota UK aren't offering the same even with heftier price tag!

    I bought my Yaris Cross also year model 2024 but the first half of the year and mine doesn't have that annoying beeping when overspeeding like 1 km/h too much.
    Thank God!
    Made the best decision of my life to buy the early 2024 model and not the late one! People who bought the late model missed out something and paid also for much higher price!
    I bought mine for only 320k sek brand new.

    I agree, the Lexus LBX looks far better - but I ended up buying the YC Premiere edition that you were driving. I'm 6'1" and the YC seems roomier inside and can just about sit behind the driving seat set for me. I've downsized from a RAV4 as I don't need such a large car now and this fits the bill for me. I plan to keep this car for longer so the Toyota legendary reliability, backed up with the 10 year warranty, made me go for it, although no doubt there are better cars out there if your priorities are different.

      I just got mine but very disappointed with poor paint coverage to a piece of fabric for a parcel shelf which flap about if you open the rear window! No lumbar support for passenger, you can’t move the seat belt on the B post and rubbish carpet if you can call it a carpet and as for the engine it’s still very noisy! Try using the buttons down on the right side of the dash it’s a joke and finally but certainly not least I cannot recommend it especially do to the price…

    Hi, we were invited to a VIP Toyota Lexus Event last month. We weren't looking to get a new car as we had a lovely 2L 2019 Corolla hatchback. We liked the Yaris Cross 2024, easier to get into. I take my parents to their hospital appointments, so will be better for them. The car is cheaper being a 1.5L.....
    We chose the new car in white & paid £489 to protect the paint from chips etc, plus it gives it a lovely shine. We did look at the blue colour, but that was £700 more. The white was free.
    You won't believe it, but the Yaris
    Cross , whilst higher than the Corolla, is actually narrower than the Corolla ! I thought my husband & I would be touching elbows😅, we don't.
    We included the Sensor safety pack on the Design model & the mat pack too. The handover of the car was spectacular, we felt like celebraties🎉...I won't say how it went, so not to ruin anyone's new car experience...
    It was sad to say goodbye to our Corolla, but we made the right decision...
    Great video by the way...
    I'd like to do a huge thank you to Gary Grainger at Toyota Snows, West Quay Road, Poole, Dorset, he was a wonderful Saleman. Funny, kind & so knowledgeable....
    Plus another huge thank you to Lee Garland, amazing Service Manager who has looked after our cars & my parents cars
    Over the years.....🎉
    We love Toyota ❤

    A very controversial car, and yet in the Caribbean, it's everywhere!!! Right off the bat: the style. It's one of those situations where you really can't please everyone. If this style is problematic, then there's the updated version, but people say it looks like a baby Rav4 and doesn't stand out like its original version. Either way, style, refinement, power output, that's not this car's key selling point. It's all about reliability! And Toyota is in the top 5 for the most reliable car brand in the world, bested by its premium counterpart, Lexus. Now some people say that the front looks bug-eyed, but where was that same energy for the VW Beetle that literally looked a damn bug?😂 anyways, love the colour, love the wheels, couple of zonks here and there like that rear windshield wiper. It needs to hidden, that's the trend nowadays. Not the fastest by any means, but very fuel efficient and practical. And in the crossover subcompact SUV segment, this is winning! Great review as always. Gonna give it a "like."

    For some reason in the UK the C-HR isn’t available in the AWD version, and we don’t get the Corolla Cross at all. You’d think Toyota would give us one or the other.
    So if you want an AWD it’s either the Yaris Cross or RAV4. That’s my only reason for considering it. I’ll probably be going for the RAV4 though as the boot is too small on the Yaris Cross.

    Hello Trish nice video.
    A few things: the intrusive speed limiting warning is a MANDATORY EU regulation for all cars that are sold from July 2024. All cars MUST behave like this.
    The CHR is more expensive than the Yaris cross. If CHR Is outside your budget, you can choose the CHR.

    Any review that starts out talking colours and front end appeal is probably not going to be good. The Cross has good clearance and large boot space. The CHR has a 1.8 or 2.00 litre engine versus the Cross 1.5. that says it all. If you do a lot of motorway driving get the CHR even if the boot is smaller. If you live in the countryside with a dirt road approach the Cross is great and around town or occasionally on motorway. Why does she not tell us this.

    This "saving money city car" is from £25,000... for the base spec! There are literally hundreds of options to save more money... Buy a Dacia Spring BEV for £14,950 with fuel consumption equivalent to 200mpg.... With the £10,000+ saved you could buy 2yr old Citroën E-C4 (with heads up display). The options are out there if you look and saving money is your priority.

    • @jdmguy44
      @jdmguy44 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +18

      Nope. Wouldn't be seen dead in the likes of a crappy electric Dacia Spring or Citroen E-C4. Lots of things in life are cheaper. Doesn't mean that's the way to go! Would rather spend an extra few quid on a higher quality vehicle. This thing will outlive the aforementioned EV's too.

      @jdmguy44 Your arrogance.... Dream on if you believe BEVs and Hybrids do not have a place in the world. Hopefully one day when you open your eyes and actually experience things outside your own town, you might realise there's more to life than an overpriced Toyota. As for reliability.... Ask the 100,000+ Tundra owners who have just had all of their "quality" Toyota's recalled for catastrophic engine failures.

    I do not understand why you don't like to be warned when you are going over speed limit? It is vital for your and other road user's safety, isn't it?

    • @AutoSocialUK
      @AutoSocialUK  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Maybe I worded it incorrectly, I don’t mind and I understand it’s importance to road safety however, I think maybe the sound level is the issue here. Other brands have hit the volume level better, so you can hear it but it’s not ruining your driving experience. (It also makes a sound when the speed limit changes - so not just when you’re doing something wrong)

    I like the Yaris Cross,my Mrs has a 2022 model, great features and it's been totally reliable.

      There is a stretch locally where the road has a 40 mph limit but it runs alongside the railway which has a 70 mph.speed limit sign, which the car sometimes (but not always!) pcks up!
