🤣Ur a very fun vocal coach, even though I'm in my 20s but still feel like ur a close friend who i can learn alot from n laugh at the same time. Good job ma'am🙏🏼♥️
I like these 'common mistakes' videos -helps me learn ways I might go wrong. For me, appoggio provides a steady and strong stream of air to move the vocal folds without tensing up in the larynx, throat or anywhere in their vicinity. When I get tired, it's in a band around my abdomen or in my lower back and not in my throat. And those breathing muscles can be strengthened and kept strong. (I am keeping in mind your point about being able to talk about appoggio but not doing it so your videos also serve as both reminder and encouragement.) Please keep posting!
I am here to thank you because a few weeks ago i found out about your channel and i always had trouble going above A 4 but after practicing with proper tongue and jaw placement that you taught i am now able to reach G5 in my head blend easily . I am so happy yet shocked of how effective a simple placement can be all thanks to you , you are my hero .
Underrated video, I recommend everyone to keep watching this video regularly as it reminds our body to keep up the right technique rather than watching it once and having half of the techniques in mind!
Serious vocal technique and you make it simple and fun. This could not be a truer statement. Another fantastic video, keep them coming, It’s appreciated. You are truly a gifted professional.
Dear Victoria! (My question is at the end of this text) Your teaching style is absolutely the example to follow for any personal singing teacher out there. I've just started to learn how to sing and my inspiration varies from classical music to death metal (No, death metal isn't about agressivity). I play the guitar, so I think I have some musical-sense. I also want to learn how to scream and growl, and I practice singing everyday for at least 30 minutes, thanks to you. My question is: When should I start to learn how to scream and growl, at least what knowledge should I acquire? Love from Hungary :)

All great information explained very well and demonstrated well with great personality. I’ve been singing for 45 years and I can only speak from my own point of you. The one thing I have never liked about singing and vocal technique is that it is very ambiguous. It is not black or white. And that for me has always been very frustrating. I don’t like gray areas when it comes to certain things. And honestly, if you have to sit down and think about everything that she is saying, you stand a very good chance of having a nervous break down. Vocal technique and learning can absolutely drive you nuts
@@Victoria-Victorious That’s fantastic! And I think that’s always the hardest part as well for many of us. It can also be very frustrating to have to remember and be aware of so many different things both before and while you were singing that an actually in some ways it’s psychologically inhibits you’re singing. Know what I mean?
Sure, you cannot think of all those things while singing BUT it is certainly possible to focus on your 2 most important technical issues. More importantly, this is the purpose of targeted exercises- so you can practice, repeat, and build it in.
Can you be my vocal teacher? I'm looking for a vocal teacher all over TH-cam and I watched tones of them but when I come across your channel I finally made up my mind.
Hello. for Appoggio are the lower abdominals supposed to draw slowly in whilst the upper push slowly out? I've heard other singing teachers say this but i'm not sure if that's what you're teaching? Not sure if you'll even see this Victoria but an answer would be much appreciated!
The best way would be to work have private lessons, even if only a few. If not, then you must learn to be your own “vocal detective” be recording yourself, listening and focusing on what your singing feels like and sounds. See my video on How To Be Your Own Teacher in Between Lessons.
It is hard for me to tell if I am supporting because I can hear breathiness in my voice sometimes and I know I am not supporting then but other times my voice sounds full and I am not practicing good technique like posture so I am confused
Hello mam! Thank you for all your videos! They are really good and you are a true gem! I wanna ask you that what is tone color? And are vocal color and tone color the same thing? When we say someone has more color in their voice do we mean they have more vocal/tone color? Can you plz make a video on this topic? It's really confusing for me!? It would be great if you could explain how to sing with vocal/tone color . Like Bright, light, dark! A video on explaining what tone/vocal colors are and how we can get them, would be great! Thank you so much ❤☺
Yes, they are the same. This is a lot to cover in a video because it involves so many things like mouth shape, position of the larynx, open throat, resonance, etc. In my audio exercise program, I have an entire section on this. I do discuss this in some of the videos in this playlist: Better Singing Tone! th-cam.com/play/PLaWjWxiTysDDB0K_J9FKiiwSxcV65xjxh.html
@@Victoria-Victorious thank you mam but if possible then plz In the future make a few videos on them☺. Once again thank you so much for all of your precious videos! I am just blessed to found your channel, ❤
Hello, can you please help me? When I try to sing louder, instead my voice goes to the high pitch. I'm used to sing kinda silently because of shyness, so I'm having some problems with it. When I try to sing, for example, Into the Unkown chorus, in the third phease my voices get much higher than it should and sounds childish (I'm trying to develop my mixed voice). Is it breath support, just how my voice works or something else? Can you please recommend me one of your videos that could help me with that?
My vocal teached told me that when we start to walk on our feet , some back part of our diaphgram becomes useless , is it possible to get that part back ? Love this and the other vids btw 💖💖💖
Can you please tell me which is the most important video on how to apply breath support? find it very very hard to understand Although you are very clear but there are so many videos out there…

I am little bit confused. To sing softly, but with intensity, i heard I need good support. But in this video, to sing quietly for baby, i dont need at all. So to sing quietly/softly but with vocal fold closure, do i need support?
This all depends on where you are in your range. Singing to a baby in your quiet speaking voice would need little to no support unless you are singing a long vocal line or have big jumps (intervals) in the notes.
I have tons of videos on breathing for singing. You can start here: How to Breathe When Singing (Inhalation) - Explained SIMPLY, CLEARLY, CORRECTLY! th-cam.com/video/qzrHSAFV-EM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Rbua_X8A9SfZuHx8
I have to confess. I’ve been dieting to lose that basketball belly that juts out now that I fill the entire abdominal wall with air. I could really see it in videos of myself and I did not like it! 😂
This is so great I keep coming back to your videos so Thank you🤍🤍 +I really have a problem When the air is enough and I feel like I can sing the notes I lose control over my vocal cords, I literally sound like a dying cow then, it feels so loose What do I do?

I find that singers improve first from understanding their voices and being aware of what their singing feels like.
