Hi ma'am. Just want to say, that you are an excellent vocal teacher. I'm using your vocal exercise videos right now before going to sing this morning at the church. I'm grateful to God for all you pour into worship leaders like me❤
For TWENTY YEARS, I struggled with vocals despite having a thorough understanding of theory and being a capable self taught multi-intrumentalist, and in the span of a single video, your wonderful teaching method (just the right amount of insistence higlighting key points) allowed me to suddenly match one of my favorite singers who is known for his range note... for... note. I can't express my gratitude. You're changing lives and allowing people to find themselves musically, I sincerely hope that karma brings you everything in life that you deserve. I'm now watching every video and unlocking potential. I always knew was there, writing songs and confidently improving. THANK YOU VICTORIA AND KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK ❤
For those who frequent this vid and one to skip the explanation (don't skip it if it's first time ya cheaters): Exercise 1 -1:46 Exercise 2 - 3:11 Exercise 3 - 5:03 Exercise 4 - 6:36 Exercise 5 - 8:02 Exercise 6 - 9:00 Exercise 7 - 10:28 Exercise 8 - 11:40 Exercise 9 - 12:32 Exercise 10 - 13:25 Exercise 11 - 14:32 Thank you for your hard work. Glory, Glory❤ I found you this morning. I had not sung since 2020 Covid and lost all voice strength. Also I am also quite Senior. So THANK YOU these starter videos. for posting.

Hello Victoria. Thanks for your videos. I studied voice way back in a day and currently do a lot of singing at church and at retirement homes. I was sick at the beginning of the month and felt like my voice was just not coming back. I checked out your "singing when sick" video and the strength training here. I already feel like my voice is coming back. I confess that I don't always warm up properly when singing, but am taking it more seriously and am gong to be instigating yoru strength training as a part of my regular routine. Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much for your video and sharp instructions,Victoria! I am new to your channel as a subscriber, but I have enjoyed your tips and knowledge very much! 🤗🙏🎶
My last voice teacher used to have me do these odd vocal scales with strange repeating yet alternating patterns that were difficult to follow because he taught opera. I couldn't figure out what they were supposed to be used for.
If these exercises left me hoarse, does that mean 1) I'm pushing up too much air or 2) my vocal cords aren't closing effectively? Either way, I'm going to start with fewer and see how I go....thank you so much for all your wonderful teaching!
Hoarseness is a red flag. It means that your vocal folds are swollen and that could be due to a lot of different reasons like pushing up too much vocal weight, blasting too much air, sqeezing your vocal folds, and other forms of pushing. Do not sing if hoarse. HOARSENESS From Singing - 5 Reasons & Solutions th-cam.com/video/6vvs9Q_pO8s/w-d-xo.html
@@Victoria-Victorious You are seriously the best, thank you!!! I spent about 5 hours reviewing your videos yesterday (I highly recommend your online program to anyone reading this). My vocal cords are constitutionally a bit 'lazy,' so it was probably a mix of too much air and maybe hitting the glottals too strong since I didn't quite distinguish that until I watched another one of your views on this topic. It's especially hard to do these exercises once you hit G-high C I find, or maybe that's just where I'm at in my vocal journey. I also need to warm up better before going into these more advanced exercises. Basic!! :)
Hi Victoria! When doing a daily warmup, is it better to start with head voice, mixed, then chest...or reverse? Is there a particular order that is best? Thank you!
I always say to start in your middle voice and work your way down to the lower register, then come back up to middle voice, working little by little to your upper register. Regarding head, chest, mix, I teach that we are always singing in some kind of mix, whether head mix or chest mix. Your choice depends on the kind of sound that you want and where you are in your range.
The higher the note my voice cracks or fades out … how do I control it or make it sound like a natural fade or voice note? How do I blend it? Fantasia is an artist who I feel can blend and balance her squeaky natural sound when it comes in unexpectedly
Ah, it sounds like you need to work on your blend (mixed voice). See my playlist on Mixed Voice. To fade and sing quietly, see my playlist on Quiet Singing. Also work on messa di voce exercises.
You can do the exercises both ways. Since we are always mixing in some form, I would do it in full voice as high as you can go and if you want to strengthen your head voice, you can do chest blend on the bottom and reinforced falsetto (head voice) on top, not breathy falsetto.
