Wow. I've been doing workouts watching Cheryl Porter but never did my stomach muscles feel worked out like this. Not sure why we held our face with lip trill but it helped me keep my chin relaxed which I constantly forget to do. Thank you so much.
You stated the reason for holding your face actually 😊. It's to make sure your jaw is more relaxed and open in the right position and mouth is not open too wide for that exercise. 👍. Normal things in vocal coaching. I recommend Madeline Harvey vocal coach as well. Cheryl Porter is tough vocal workout but awesome for you extending vocal ability and perfecting your vocal control ❤

Great lesson! I was recorded playing acoustic guitar and singing last week and noticed some warbling in my pitch. My voice has become lazy over time. Then this vid popped up today like magic to show me exactly what I need to know and do to shape it up. After doing these exercises, my throat feels less "flabby" and more in control already. The hand position makes it a little easier. As a side note though, I heard once that lip trill exercises are about the air flow. You have to maintain a strong and steady breath out for this one. Mine used to always falter towards the end of a breath, or just when I was getting lazy XD

I've wanted to be a singer since I was 4. I'm 13 now. I don't know if I can make it. I've always wanted to. This is my 4th year doing chorus and I'm trying to start singing lessons. I want to get better. I started writing songs when I was 6. I had a passion for music for years now but I don't know if I could make it. I'm not a good singer, normal for a 13 year old girl I guess though, but I want to into to music more than anything and it's the one thing I don't think I'll ever give up on. I don't know what to do and I know it's a hard career to get into but it's been a passion of mine almost my entire life. I don't really actually want to do any other career. I don't want to give up but sometimes I don't think I can make it. I don't know what the hell to do.
I feel I'm the worst singer ever, too much pressure in my throat, feeling i sound nadal sometimes, not able to sing the right key, not sounding good enough even though my voice can hold a high pitch up . Started following today, i hope i make some good progress because it sucks to be complimented on your talking voice and being a disappointment when i siiiingg😢
yes because I feel myself straining from / feeling all the pressure on my throat when belting, o want more ease. all ive gotten was "more air" and more push, it helps but I still sound and look like im pulling from my throat

Love this, thank you! The spaghetti exercise really loosened up my larynx, feeling more freedom while singing now! The liptrill though is impossible for me...... always has been. What do I do wrong there, any suggestions please?
A good alternative is an r trill , like when you trill your r's in spanish although some people don't know how to do that either but if it works, you can do that instead and it works

Practice regularly and also learn the tonic solfa it helped me alot and Pressure while singing
Best way to improve is consistency and discipline.And try not to rely on motivation it doesn't help trust me .
And don't fear voice cracks 😊
