They were the “house band” at the Whiskey back then not only opening for many up and coming bands like Chicago Transit Authority, but playing nights when no one else was scheduled or cancelled. I saw them numerous times back then. Incredible band. Rico Rosenbaum was such a great guitar player and writer. R.I.P. he passed way too early. They were very under promoted by their label Metromedia and eventually were lost to obscurity.

I agree completely! Gypsy was one the BEST, unfortunately little known, rock bands back in the day. Their Metromedia and RCA LPs are absolute gems!

yeah, i heard about that ( Whiskey) ....Rico was talented for sure and the entire band....for sure they deserved more about success....
