Two words "Cemetery Gates", just saying lol.
Yes please, but the extended version with the intro solo!!
Man, she will love Cemetery Gates.
Yeah but she needs to listen to the Studio version of most Pantera songs. The videos usually cut off important part of the songs
MUCH more SINGING in this one Rayactions
@@chupitolepame5357 THIS!!!
Pantera was the greatest heavy metal band.
The guitarist "Dimebag" was the "oh my god" guitarist of his time.
He changed the scene and influenced a whole new wave of talent.
You will enjoy this rabbit hole.
when people speak of him they call him stuff like "the MJ of guitar" or the babe ruth of Metal. Absolute GOATs
GOAT in metal guitar... just AWESOME... INCREDIBLE... AMAZING...
RIP to the Abbott brothers. Had the blessing to see them at Ozzfest 2000 and my ears are still ringing 24 years later
Got to hang with Dime and Wayne Static (for about half an hour) that same year Ozzfest. Still have both picks to this day. RIP to the CFH, and Wayne.
@@SymbiSkuggi oh man I bet that was epic! I was waiting in line to exchange a "free GA ticket" I won from a local Nashville radio station and this guy with all kinds of piercings in his face comes up to the line and asks who needed a ticket. My buddy pointed him to me and this guy hands me a 3rd row VIP ticket and a cassette, saying his band was playing. Looked at it and had no idea who they were but I thanked him.
It was David Draiman of Disturbed 😂 I still have that ticket, too
@@jaydeus that's awesome man! Mine was in Sacramento CA area, I had just started working at a Tower records, and one of the label reps and I hit it off. Used to get all the free tickets and promo albums and whatnot. Not sure what to call the Ozzfest pass he gave me, but I could go anywhere, including behind the stages (it was a huge outdoor festival), and it is still one of my best days lived.... well other than hanging out with Danzig and Type O on Halloween, but that's a different story :)
I saw them at Ozzfest 2000 as well, but the best show of theirs I ever saw was the summer of 2001 and they headlines a massive show in Little Rock with Morbid Angel, Skrape, Satic X, and Slayer. I walked away from that show with a concussion from headbanging so much.
I'm Broken, though is not just my favorite Pantera song, it is my 100% absolute favorite song of all time. Nearly 30 years later it still gives me goosebumps and makes me grin ear to ear.... and makes me bang my head.
RIP
Every single pantera song is elite tier. Not even one single bad song. Zero. Handsdown my favourite band of all of eternity. RIP Vinny and Dimebag.
Amen.
i respect your opinion, and i am not saying this to be mean. "drag the water" is garbage. i hated it the first time i heard it. i used to feel bad about hating it in the nineties. till i found out they hated it too, and only put it on the album as a rfu by the label. now the vocals are fine bass is fine drums and guitar are nice. not good enough to make a pantera album. still i like plan nine from outer space so its ok to like objectively bad art if it makes you happy. the rest of the songs yes
@@brianbushuewtf bro, Drag the Waters is a hell of a song, is probably the "worst" from the album but still a bang.
Pantera - Walk
Pantera - mouth for war
Mouth for War sets off the vibe of that whole album 🤘🏽😎
Mouth for War totally!!
I don't think anyone ever needs walk again. There are better songs.
@@user-vx5le4te2c So pick yours. "Floods"?
@@user-vx5le4te2cmost overplayed Pantera dong
If you want a riff clinic..... Revolution Is My Name!!!!!!
The Studio Version is a must
Yesterdey don't mean shit is also top
Yes! Was literally about to comment this.
She's not ready, she must take the Jedi Trials first
Damn straight👌
4 words.
Dime.
Is.

Legend.
🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Studio version of Cemetary Gates will show you a whole new vocal approach from Phil. It leaves most singers/vocalists in awe after hearing songs like this from him first.
But i hope she reacts to the longer version....
@@joealvarez8733studio version is the long version
Pantera - Domination 😎🙌🏽
Pantera, Domination live from Moscow. The best guitar playing ever
Legendary, iconic guitarist murdered onstage (with several others) in front of hundreds of fans. One of the most horrific tragedies in music history. RIP Dime.🤘
oh you've opened a door now to an entire new world of epic riffs and solos
Mouth For War, The Art of Shredding, Cowboys From Hell, Heresy, Domination (live in Moscow), The Great Southern Trendkill, Drag the Waters, Floods, Revolution Is My Name, Yesterday Don't Mean Sh!t, 5 Minutes Alone (with Phil's interview on how it came to be lol), Becoming... So many Pantera songs to react to.
lmao the 5 Minutes Alone explanation is PURE GOLD! 🤣
13 steps to nowhere with the hilarious drums work in ... That's why everyone like Pantera
4 words... VULGAR DISPLAY OF POWER 🤘🏽😎
Ray really getting what Heavy Metal is about makes me smile
PANTERA....greatest band to ever do it....period! no one beat Dime when it came to riff and rhythm, not to mention that he could out solo pretty much anybody even when he was beyond drunk. Get your Wonderland shoes on girly and head down this rabbit hole, it's something that you can't unhear and you'll be happy about it.
Cemetery Gates is a must.
"Becoming" is a banger
That riff is perfection! Dime is so missed! Rest In Power Legend!
Pantera-the great southern trendkill one of the most killer guitar solos, especially the last part of the solo that fades out
Walk and Mouth for war, please!
Broken: so much energy!!!’
RIP Dimebag and Vinnie Paul.
Your pause commentary hits the nail on the head of how well Pantera's albums were mixed and mastered.
Pantera is known for one of greatest bands of all time for metal music. For me and for most people that play guitar, Dime (The guitarist) is the best of all time, and for some he isnt, but he 100% changed the way you play. He was so unique, technique, sound, vibrato, legato EVERYTHING man. He came to rock and rocked like no other. You should do more Pantera like Hollow , Floods, This love... There you can really feal the lyrics and GUITAR aswell. Great reaction btw keep on reacting
I love how the moment the guitar starts you go right into stank face. So good
When this song debuted on the radio I turned up the whole house stereo my family had and rattled ceramic knick knacks off the shelves. NO ONE was ready for this sound when this album dropped, it was next level in every way.
Cemetery Gates.... GO!!!
Pantera was one of my favorite band in High school. I went to see them in Quebec city when they came out with that album in 1994. Dimebag was awesome. Watch Domination live in Moscow.
She felt the pantera shit, it instantly hooks you in and dominates your soul....
It’s so fulfilling to see somebody discovering the guy you hold as the greatest metal guitar player to ever walk the planet. This man had a background in country and blues because of his dad‘s production studio. You can hear some of this influence in his soloing on the great Southern Trendkill.
He idolize Van Halen and disappeared in a room for several weeks and emerged during his teenage years as a virtuoso.
RIP Saint Vinny and Saint Dime 💔
Pick any song from their album, Vulgar display of Power. They’re all bangers. Dimebag was a one of a kind guitarist. RIP
If you want to go down a rabbit hole of tasty guitar licks, Pantera is the perfect band to do it with.
The art of shredding
Pantera are the legends of metal. No a bad damn album.
I like you! You’re funny! First time I saw PANTERA I was 15 at a club in Winston Salem NC. Cowboys tour. Me and a couple friends right up front in front of Dime. It was amazing. The faces he was making while jamming. Great memory for me.
This Band....Was Just Nothing Short of A Whiskey Shot and a HAMMER TO THE HEAD!....THRASH KINGS THEM AND SLAYER
First time listening to Pantera? Girl! You should've reacted to their song Cowboys From Hell as your first from them, it's their anthem song that they're most known for.
Walk is their anthem song and their most known lol. That being said cowboys from hell is far better
Witness the POWER of Dime and Vinnie. Grabs you by the spine.
One of the most talented guitar players of all time Dimebag.
hell yeah more pantera
I first found Pantera at the end of 1994 and fell in love with Dimebag Darrell's guitar work as well as the production on this album and the previous one ... heavy riffs with solid grooves and clean transitions between sections. I've heard other bands that come close, but these albums are the pinnacle for me.
All pantera is amazing hands down.
Domination
Instant Dimebag fan.
One of the definitive metal guitarists of the 90s.
Dimebag on guitar is the product of if Eddie Van Halen and Ace Frehley made a crazy haired child who grew up to say to every other guitar player "Hold my beer". One of the most incredible guitarists in an amazing band, taken from us way too soon. Glad you enjoyed some Pantera.
Phil is wearing a Crowbar shirt. I saw Pantera at the RIP Magazine concert in 93 at the Palladium in Los Angeles along with Crowbar, Prong, and SOD. We had arrived early and parked next to the tour buses. Afterwards, I was able to get all their autographs. That was fun.
This Pantera album 'Far beyond driven' in 1994 charted @ #1 in the US and it was the heaviest, most brutal record ever to hit the top of the charts... (the late) Dimebag Darrell (guitar) was just a master of riffs and (his late brother) Vinnie Paul (drums) was the king of the groove... 🤘🤘
Back in '94, metal bands heard Metallica's self-titled 'black' album from 1991 and rushed to make more "commercially accessible" records, hoping to have a big hit and bank a payday 🤑
Pantera had released a brutal album 'Vulgar display of Power' in 1992 and could have easily gone that route... Instead, they got even more brutal and heavier on 'Far beyond' driven'... and still went to #1 in an era where grunge and alternative rock were becoming vogue & fashion...Extreme metal tracks from that record included - '5 minutes alone' ... 'Slaughtered' ... 'Becoming'... 🤘🤘🔥🔥
However, Pantera also recorded an acoustic cover of Black Sabbath's 'Planet Caravan'... and it was a surprise after all the brutal metal, there was a ballad that paid tribute to the icons of hard rock/ heavy metal.
It debuted at #1. First metal album to ever do that.
@@GoatOfTheMountains Metallica hit #1 w/ the 'black' album in 1991 before that.
Hard not to love Dime... Glad to say I did see him once, on their very last tour...
This is when Pantera was Pantera and when they had one of the ALL-TIME Greatest Guitarist of All Time Dime Bag Darnell . There will never be one as good as him . ( Rest in peace Vinny Paul Abbott 🥁and Dimebag Darnell Abbott 🎸. )
Dimebag changed up the entire guitar scene with his playing as well as what Pantera created. Easily revolutionized an entire generation and more with their albums.
pantera is a guitar and drum band. dimebag darrell is the greatest riff writer.
Tremendo clásico, estas por el buen camino.. Saludos desde Barcelona.
Regular People is a riff like that too. Just too badass to even fully comprehend.
Best guitar tone ever !!!!!!!!!!!! Best drum sound and groove ever !!! Best God-Metal-Voice ever !!!!!!!! Best Bass - Sond ever and fucking greatest Band ever ...
Rest in peace Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul. This is one of my top fav metal songs of all time.
so cool whenever reactors really dig Dime's riffs! his spirit is immortal
damn its 6am and i´m pumped!
Takes me so happy to see you talk about dime like this. He was a great one
Back then this genre of music was brand new but what I'm seeing today is that it is still brand new brand new to you and all that are coming along experiencing hair metal bands like Pantera skid row and oh so many more bands that were chock-full of talent
OH YEAH! Pantera. A beautiful rabbit hole indeed. I never got the see the original Pantera line-up. But I did see Vinnie & Dimebag when they came through town with Damageplan, back in 2004. 6 months before Dimebag was tragically murdered on stage. A show I will never forget! I was right up front and at one point, Dime had a bottle of whiskey in hand. He started pouring some of that liquid gold down our gullets. Then he drank the rest of the bottle. So, I can say that, I had a drink with Dime. Some song suggestions for ya:
Cemetery Gates
Cowboys From Hell
Revolution Is My Name
I'll Cast A Shadow
But pick what you want, you can't go wrong! 🤘🤘🤘
Oh. Now that you've seen this, you should check out *Maria Brink* covering this song here on YT! She's one of the only vocalists I've ever heard actually do Phil justice for the Far Beyond Driven era Pantera. Maria Brink's cover of I'm Broken is SO GOOD.
First time wow just wait it is awesome!!
The inspiration for this song, to think Phil was already in hellish pain by this time with the ruptured disc in his back. I saw them in Jan of 95 , think he said he was 26. I injured my back at 29, bulging discs. There's at least one interview from 10-12 years ago where he talks about it, in the mid-90s, what doctors and specialists were telling him his options were.....not good. So he suffered with pain 24/7, drinking, doin' H , OD'd . Mine was far less than his injury, I lost a lot of weight and muscle the first month, even dry heaving on an empty stomach from the pain. The one interview of his, I listen to him, and it's almost like the brother I never had, talking. He said through those years when it was the worst, no one understood what he was going through, like Phil said, they won't unless theyve had it, like a knife in your spine when you wake up, same knife if you move at all, same if you lay there, no quality sleep at night, that knife blade in your spine is always there.
4 words to say about you , YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS !
MOAR PANTERA! A new world is open to you now lol😂. “Walk” is a popular reaction video w another dope guitar riff
They have so many great songs
Welcome to the Pantera family. Dimebag and Vinnie (brothers)may they rest in peace , Rex and Phil (not brothers)lol are actually on tour right now as Pantera with Zakk for Dime and Charlie for Vinnie. Celebrating the brother's legacy and honoring the most influential metal band of their times. People dont have to be metal fans to like these guys all they have to have is functional ears. And I'm not going to put a request and because none of their songs suck. The only thing I'll say is to play any of the songs from the live video of the 1991 concert in Moscow most people will request domination from that show but they're all fire. This rabbit hole is deep girl I really enjoyed your reaction have a great day
you're so metalhead, and i love it!!
A quick story about the main riff in this tune. Dime and his brother were both old/vintage/weird gear hounds. When they were on the road they would go to little music shops and pawn stores looking for odd stuff. That riff was something Dime came up on the spot with one day in a pawn shop while checking out an old distortion pedal they saw. Lucky they always carried a basic recorder with them as well and quickly recorder it for later use.
Just the best ,and thats how a pterodactyl sounds like in full scream .Dimes grinding guitar just gets you
That groove metal doe 👌🏻 so tasty. Love Pantera - RIP Dimebag 🕊️🎸
Just some suggestions for the pantera journey you have embarked on. Floods, Drag the waters, Walk, Cemetery Gates, Five minuets alone, This Love, Mouth For War, Suicide Note one and two, 13 steps to nowhere.
This is one of my favorite albums of all time!
This was in those days we all were cool! With Dimebag, Rex, Phil,...! Most talented guys!
Darrell was definitely one of the goats guitarists, I would love to see a reaction to any of these Pantera's songs:
-Hollow
-The Sleep
-This love (studio version)
-Cemetery gates (studio version too)
Anyway, greets ✌🏼🫶🏼🇲🇽
Yes I agree , cemetery gates is a must for a pantera listen
The video is one version and the album is another version , most reaction videos listen to the video version , the album has a nice acoustic intro
If you liked the riffs of this song, you should listen to Cemetery Gates. It's the best Pantera's song! The riff, vocal, bass, drums, solos, lyrics... that's a masterpiece!
And there's way more to experience from Dime. Need to check out 5 Minutes Alone, Living Through Me, Becoming, F'ing Hostile, and Regular People. 🤘🏼💯🤘🏼
Incredible how people experience Pantera for the first time. Some start with "Cemetery Gates" some with "Walk" some with "Cowboys from Hell" and the Idea of the band style is always different. I love that. You must listen to those songs, specially Cemetery Gates
This was your 1st Pantera?!?!?!?! Gotta do "Cemetery Gates" next!!!!!
Pantera is so dope to go crazy listening. The sick groove with that massive guitar sound is just NASTY AF.
Hardest band in the history of bands. Book it! Also, War Nerve...dope
She would definitely get a kick out of stuff like...
Floods
Hollow
This Love
and absolutely Cemetery Gates 😁
As a somewhat Pantera fan and as another guitarist myself(I meant they're not my top favorite metal band but, they're up there lol), I appreciate that our boi Dimebag Darell gets loved by people like you😀😀😀
Pantera has always been favorite. I always love that Phil shouts out other bands when he wears a shirt in a video it reps a band he likes. He's wearing a crowbar shirt here, you should react to them. They have very few reactions and several amazing albums
The Great Southern Trendkill. Make it to the second half, ya get to hear some of the best guitar ever to grace an amp, with a chilling guitar outro
Pantera was my favorite metal band growing up along with Metallica this song is brutal and Phil Anselmo's voice is sick plus Dimebag Darrell was one of the greatest guitar players of all time Phil's voice did change after Cowboys From Hell he used to have a sick range check out Cemetery Gates as far as Far Beyond Driven the whole album is like this with it's heaviness the track Slaughtered is a great example and one of my favorites
ahhh brings me back to better times
The word you're looking for to describe the guitar riff is grove. Dimebag had all the fucking grove man!
When they played live Darrell the guitarist did the call/response part of the vocals with Phil the singer. The studio version here it's all Phil. Darrell has a great voice & could have song lead if he wanted too.
I was blessed to see them in San Jose California 7 times with bands like Anthrax,Sepultura,Morbid Angel and Black Sabbath... RIP the Dime and Vinney God bless all Keep the metal alive Amen and Hallelujah
We were all obsessed with the guitarist when we were first being exposed to and experiencing this band. Legend.
Really not a problem - Dime's is a perfectly acceptable guitar to obsess over.🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥
.
Love your reactions. The hair over the face was rofl.😂
You have to be the most genteel metalhead I've ever come across!😂❤
“Domination” live.
Songs like this showcase why they were so popular. Literally nobody else was doing anything like them. They were different and amazing
A New Level......A MUST!!!!
I love the album cover!
There's a reason the blues scale will never get old. Solid state amps suck, right😉
Dimebag guitar was what made Pantera different from other bands for me. Imagine the sick riffs and solos he would wrote if he was alive today
You should totally check the extended version of "Cemetery Gates" from them, you'll be surprised
The guitar sound?
That’s the power groove🤙🏼
