I think the biggest issue right now is that people say they hate kits and wish they didn’t exist and then go an buy them
they act like saying they hate it is gonna do anything when all ea cares about is MONEY. they only care about the bottom line, not if its actually good, so when the entire sims 4 community rushes to buy it all ea sees is "trash sells"
Tbh for the bs you get for overpriced expansions. Kits at least seem more reasonable in comparison. I do wish they had twice as much build/buy though as well as just 1 functional thing thats exclusive to the kit. Like a little mini stuff pack.
All i can say is to buy it cheaper from resellers. Especially expansions. Usually they are a lot more reasonably priced with resellers. Especially older packs. U can get em for like 15 to 20 a piece that way. Thats for the biggest backs.
@@ketaminepoptartsregulation is the only solution. I say that as a game dev. The big studios have too much power. Yall need to stop making the buyers responsible cause it wont do anything. There needs to be a price range standard and quality standard with games. And it might be difficult to enforce. But at least that‘ll force em to fix packs like dine out and such.

I miss the little details from sims 2. Like when you cook, the sims actually grabs utensils, bowls, etc from the cabinet. Also like if you make enemies with someone, they’ll come by and knock over your trash and, which in turn will give you roaches if you don’t clean it up quick enough
Unnecessary and annoying things I'm glad got removed. It got so bad that I had to build a fence around my trash can and put a lock on it. Yeah, I'm glad that's gone.

This aged like fine wine. Everyone is losing their mind over growing together, like bruh be for real, relationship dynamics shouldnt be 40 dollars/euros. I do like the infant update, but its too late. The game is fundamentally broken. Also, with the infant update so many mods will break too, and lets be for real, the sims 4 without mods is absolute garbage.

Seriously I don’t give a damn about that pack, all I want is the treehouse, changing tables and baby showers. They really wanted us to get excited about fcking elders jogging🥴.
I’m still annoyed that the changing tables didn’t come with the infant update, they really wanted our money for that bs. Also I play on console so image how I feel. I wanted to get a pc but then I thought, I’m going to spend thousands of dollars on computer just to spend another thousand on dlc’s just to risk getting viruses by downloading a bunch of mods just to get bored in a month.
The sims community really gets on my nerves by getting excited for everything EA releases when they know good and damn well SOMETHING is going to break.
Couldn’t say it better myself. I watched some “gamechangers” about that wedding pack and it’s completely broken!! Sims 4 is set dressing and eye candy but nothing else. No substance and it makes me so angry that nothing is intractable or nothing seems to be simulated. I’m going back to sims 2 and sims 3. Also I started playing the sims 1 back in 2000 so I fully understand where you are coming from! It’s a shame the community and sims 4 is so corrupt!

This is so fuckin refreshing THANK YOU!!! Plumbella and Fake Gamer Girl are the only simmers I watch at this point because everyone else is so fake. I have been playing sims 2 and have fallen back in love with the depth of character, and just recently played sims 3 again as well and was so immersed in the worlds it was unbelievable. I cannot believe that EA literally had two gorgeous games that had so much success, they literally have all the blueprints, and yet they pull this crap. They know exactly what they are doing because they know young people don't know better and are taking advantage of it. I am so sick of the bare minimum from the sims 4, I literally laughed when I saw everyone praising EA again, I am sick of this community at this point too. Like as much as I adore modders for everything they do, they shouldn't have to fix everything EA won't, the company is taking something Will Wright implemented for creativity among the community and has totally used them to justify their shit game. Thank you so fuckin much for being real with us I am so annoyed by the community and all these garbage game changers too. (not you Plumbella ily)

Its not possible to fix the sims 4 because the foundation of it is just boring. The objective checklist system is the worst thing because you don’t even have to try it says it all for you. The audience of it has obviously changed and EA knows they can get away with doing the bare minimum
They really thought bringing emotions to make it more realistic made the sims more fake because you obviously know what emotion sims are prior to what event happens. For example if your sim gets broken up with we already been knew that they’re gonna be sad/angry

I have fears for the sims 5 if this is the route EA is choosing to follow. The Sims 4 is only fun with mods and your own imagination like you said. A lot of these updates should've been in the base game or in the original game packs. I can't remember the last time I was excited for a sims 4 pack. It's sad to see the state of the franchise. I hope you do more live streams, your stories are creative and fun! I would love to see more of your gameplay.
Sims 5 would probably be like a dress-up your doll creation and build your dream house type of game. It'll look no different than a mobile game. Oh, and more microtransactions and kit packs that are basically reskin of already existing items! Who doesn't love that right?

@@littlem9865 You just made me look at the Sims 5 leaks after not keeping up with the updates (or anything related to the sims really) after a long time. Honestly, I am not surprised. The leaked gameplay honestly looks like Paralives (that one game still in development that's made by like what, less than a dozen people? which is not a good thing). I don't really care anymore. Sims 2 and 3 are enough if I want to go back to simming.
I recently became so sad playing the sims 4 because I have soooo many nostalgic comfy feelings when it comes to the sims 3. Like I spent hours and hours at a time playing the sims 3 and rarely got bored whereas now I play the sims 4 and as soon as I’m done building my house I’m done. And when I try to play sims 3 now it won’t work on my computer so I feel like I’ll never have that fun again with the sims.

Because majority of the old sims community were Gen X'ers and older Millennials. Now it's the young dumb Millennials and Gen Z kids. There is no dumber generation than Gen Z. These kids can't even tell time or answer simple math questions. This is who they're catering too. That's why the community is garbage now.

I am so disappointed that EA and Maxis are the ones who hold the title for this this specific type of life simulation game because if The Sims 4 is what we have to look forward to from now on, we're turned. I wish Rockstar would make this kind of life simulation. That'd be unmatched. Babies in The Sims 4 function like literal furniture objects. Kids don't even get a school bus to pick them up or drop them off, your celebrity Sim doesn't get a limo-- it's definitely a disappointing game.
Imagine if GTA VI is actually like a life simulation game that's why it's taking so long
@@Casraid OMG😩 let's NOT!! This conversation will only end up hurting us because we know this idea is way TOO GOOD to be true. GTA would be like, you can enter 2 modes: one mode is no main mission, just open world life simulation role playing and the other mode of course would be where you can load up a world and do signature GTA missions.
My opinion exactly. I now find the comments under announcements of new content or patches extremely funny. If you read some of the comments, you'd think EA had just raised Jesus from the dead or something, that's how people freak out.

Quxxn was one of my favorite TH-camrs out of all the different categories of channels I’ve watched over the years. No one, absolutely NO ONE has come close to how amazing she was as a content creator. Her passing hit me hard.
Zeke was DISGUSTING when she passed. From what I recall he had intimate details about the events surrounding her death that was shared to him in secret. And he TOLD EVERYONE on his own channel. I remember your response to his gross behavior. And damn, was I happy that you said something and stood up for Quxxn.
My best friend was popular in a different community on TH-cam. When she passed away suddenly, there were a few channels gunning for her “spot” before her remembrance of life celebration occurred. It changed my view of that group completely.

Yeah I definitely hear you. There’s this one little white girl I watch and she literally cries over colours and little bare minimum stuff that EA does but at the same time she knows if she does actually says what she wants to say EA won’t be giving her free packs and content anymore. I remember when the Star Wars pack came out they didn’t even let her play it but gave it to everyone else because she didn’t like Star Wars. So she had to buy the pack herself lmfao. And don’t get me started on how they did LGR.

I hate the kits I refuse to buy even one of them. Its another cash grab done by EA again... I really have a hard time believing they aren't deleting comments or something for them lmfao unless the entire community is full of naive children.

I lost my Origin account and had every expansion up to University. I used to adore sims but tbfh losing them made me realized all of the expansions are trash. The only ones I bought again were seasons, pets, and Island Living. That's it and only bought them with 50% off or less sales. It's awful.
They haven't lowered the price of sims 3 in YEARS. They know it's better than sims 4 lmfao. It's obvious in the way sims 4 base game gets sold for 5 dollars and sims 3 stays where it's at.
I honestly don't mind the kits. They're niche little side peices. But don't call something an expansion pack or game pack that is buggy, glitchy, and barely expands or adds to the game.
God i miss the burglar, ghosts scaring my sims to death, and realistic deaths! I despise them dying of laughing, just stupid... This game was made with corny people in mind.
I agree with everything you are saying. Us that have played the Sims back in the days have the most problem with it, we remember what it was and what it could be, we keep on having hopes and hopes but EA never delivers. It’s us old school simmers that have the most faith in the game and it’s sad.
I’ve played the sims since sims 2. I played sims 3 and enjoyed it, didn’t care if there was going to be 4 or so on, I was happy with what I got. When sims 4 came out I played the base game and never wasted a dollar on anything els. I know the sims and I knew if the base game was lacking it’s impossible to fix since it’s the core of the game. Yes I’ve pirated the whole damn shit to see if there was a difference, nope. This game fucking sucks and we need to open our eyes, it’s actually unhealthy and toxic.
When I first saw paralives I didn’t think much of it. I still had “hopes” for the sims hopes I knew deep inside were never going to happen. I am a pateon for Paralives and I can tell you that it’s awesome, yes they are not EA but for a starter they are doing so much! They are listening to us. They are all sims players and they know, trust me! I can’t say anything of what they are doing but I can say it reminds me of the sims 2 and 3. They asks us and I can say 50% of the game is going to be what we said we want.
Please guys I know it’s hard but it’s time to Break up with EA, seek some therapy and give paralives a chance.
The Sims Community needs reevaluating, they got way too much positive toxicity, like I am all in for positivity but when people are positive about the wrong stuff, the game changers are a prime example. You and thesimyin are the only honest people who talk about problems no one else does.

Lolz today in a FB group about builds for Sims 4 no CC, they denied my post because I slightly criticized the Sims 4 game. Usually I'd go full bore hate about how bad the gameplay is, but I simply stated that the Sims team really made Holly Alto look nothing like her original self and said "Sims 4 is 🤢"... They was like NOPE, denied my post and so I left the group. I've experienced hateful Sims 4 obsessed players in that group anyways, it was well past time I left.

Back in the day the nail addition would've interested me. Back in Sims 3 days I'd buy a pack for just a few additions, and it'd have so much I'd fall in love with it. I bought supernatural for the rocking chairs, and now it's one of my favorite packs of all time. You cannot do that with the sims 4. They already got me to buy the game when toddlers came out, and I'll never fall for the okey doke again. I played the game for 3 days and never touched that shit again
Yes. Imagine a game like Sims 3 in a new, modern engine. Sims 3 was a great game, but from a technical point of view it often stood on very shaky legs. EA never really got to grips with that either...
SIMS 4 becoming IMVU and metaverse. BUT only one thing left, make the game online. Sims NOT game anymore. Sims was a game with long term memory and aspiration. Sims 5 will be online
I think the downfall of sims 4 content is EA picking little features such as vampires, the home decorator career etc that were in previous expansion packs that were one of the many features in them and EA making a quick buck on making a whole game pack about it. It’s just laziness and money grabbing all over it
And the packs never blend in together. Each pack is it's own game. So much wasted opportunity.

Her tween fan club doesn't realize that the only reasons she's praising the game is because that's how she makes her money! Carl seems to have stopped reviewing the game and is busy making mod overhauls to help improve the game. I think that's a losing battle tbh. They'll soon announce Sims 5 and watch how it will be more pay to play hot garbage. They're not getting a dollar from me.
The gamechangers are basically just paid to put out propaganda for each new update and release. Honestly, I feel like if EA had any integrity, a good portion of the packs would be basegame. Pets, parenthood & seasons at the very least. At this point, I wish that there was a viable competitor that could carry the torch from the sims 2 & 3.

Haven't been able to play The Sims 4 for a few years now due to the amount of bugs and glitches. My sims are still teleporting through floors, not being able to wash dishes, etc etc. Still so many bugs that it destroys the joy of playing it. I'm still going back to Sims 1 and 2 to actually enjoy playing sims...

Kind of curious what was on your mind when you bought star war pack lol. Other than that I do agree on everything you said. The current sims team suck and the current community will defend them and buy whatever EA pooped out. I see someone praising the Morden men wear as the best kit because it's was for male and it have good textures while the sims team is the reason why it's lacking in the first place. And when someone point out the bad design of the game system on reddit, people downvote them because that is supposedly more "realistic". The future of the sims is hopeless.

I’ve tried playing the sims four, honestly it’s not terrible, but Jesus there is so much wasted potential. The sims 3 was so ambitious and has so much to do but it has issues of being an older game. If the sims 4 had improved upon the sims 3 foundation, it would’ve been a shining star. But EA and it’s greed will continue to hold it back until their faces get shoved in shit by a better company that can actually make a simulation game.
The Sad thing is base game of Sims 4 at original release was basically Sims 1 with modern graphics, a nice CAS, and a worse map then Sims 1. Like the Sims 1 map is gorgeous considering when it was designed. Even Sims 2 world maps looked better. Having downloaded free base game recently I will say it has improved a TON and is playable .. without mods despite what some say. But it's still a sad shadow of features from sims 2 and 3. Also, due to recent EA app crashes, I just went back to Sims 3 for like a week and am having a blast tbh. And I was always a bigger Sims 2 fan then a 3 fan (still am). But there are Sims 3 packs I haven't even played and I am getting a lot of fun gameplay out of them now.

Honestly? I'm starting to think EA is lying about how this game sells. They don't show any proof that this game is actually selling well. I also don't believe Steam data either. I think they're being paid off.
Team Three had both a color wheel AND 100s of patterns to choose from which could ALL be individually recolored, and I'm pretty sure you can download your own patterns too - and these people are excited they got a 4th color. I will never understand how they celebrate mediocrity.

Ive been watching you FOREVER and it was refreshing to hear old names like Queen being brought up I may be younger than you but I grew up playing the sims 1 since I was 3 years old on my grandmas computer lol I got the designer pack just cause I loved the career in sims3 but its so much better there then in the sims 4
I feel like the reason EA refuses to add packs that should already be in the game to the base game or at least make them free is because they already know that they're giving us the bare minimum. They know that you would expect a $40 expansion pack to come with a lot of things and that you would have expectations from a big company with a large team working on a single game, and so they have decided to cheat us out of our money for us to be disappointed on purpose. They know that even if all they gave us in a single pack was filled with a bunch of trash (eco lifestyle, I'm looking at you) we would still buy it.

It's just depressing. Well something less depressing is that sims 3 does exist so I'm just going to play it from now on. Sims 5 could be epic and all but like we all know it won't. Bought the base game when it came out, never got into it (unlike with 1, 2 and 3). That was it for me, but yeah I agree with many points you made. I don't like or get "game changers" (most of them, anyway). Sims 4 is just a hollow experience and no amount of DLC can make up for it. Your rant videos feel good. This comment section makes me feel validated and sane. Like, I'm even starting to get tired of Pixelade atp! At first it seemed like he was going to try and lead a resistance of some kind for those simmers who kept letting themselves be done dirty and walked all over by the modern Sims franchise, in order to influence people to stop buying shit from EA and to open their eyes to the scammery.... but no. STILL promoting and hyping up content that EA is announcing and releasing for ts4 to this day. When it's trendy to bandwagon-boycott brands, everyone hops on board and us bystanders start to get hope that smaller more worthy companies will rise up and replace the shit ones like the Paralives team or the team behind Life By You. But when it's time for clout to be drawn in all because of a household name and the false hope that maybe they'll redeem themselves this time around (they never do), people jump shit and hop on d*cks. So disappointing and annoying---especially given that at first, he too also showed concern and anger towards the negligence of this money hungry company towards their long-time supporters, only to go back to uploading videos showcasing all the "amazing" content they half-assedly pump out. I stop updating this game after the snow mountain pack, just before they started kits.
The skin tone update was garbage, modders did a better job.
In the end I just had to mod it to make it more fun and also the devs are trying too hard to be inclusive with pronouns and different culture, instead of fixing the game and improving it.
I Have since stopped playing it now.
the worst thing is I only recently got a pc, so sims 4 was my first sims on pc.
I grew up on the console versions, which was restricted, but had a story and was still fun.
I am going to try out sims 3 on pc now that people recommend it me.

I bought a PC a little while ago and I've been playin' Sims 4 and you know how that goes. 😑 I also own a pirated version of all TS3 packs but for some reason, it won't load onto my PC. instead it works on my much older and slower MacBook. I'm still tryna figure out what to do cuz I really wanna play it.

In all seriousness, seems like after the initial TS4 backlash, instead of making the game actually good, they chose to use “wokeness” to appeal to a certain demographic. They made a huge deal out of the pronoun update and people ate that up. “Oh, no gameplay?? But I can change my pronouns and make male sims get pregnant!”
And I say this as a gay, they pandering for real instead of doing work.
I got Sims 2 again recently and it’s WAY more fun than 4. It’s kinda staggering how fun a 20 year old game is in comparison.

I hope they just revamp Sims 3, as the Sims for adults. They can tag Sims 4 as Sims for kids. LOL
I know, and all the lacklustre sims 4 packs are so expensive to a point I can’t even afford them unless I wait for a long time because I don’t want to just always play the sims 4. I haven’t played sims 2 and 3 in a long time but those games are super awesome when I do. The sims 4 had massive potential and I still sometimes enjoy playing it, but the fact toddlers were added so late just makes me mad. I’m glad the base game is free now but, when it wasn’t it was super lacklustre for a non-f2p game. But for sims 2 and 3 sometimes you don’t even need packs to have a lot of fun with the game. I probably won’t get much if anything for the sims 4 anymore.
It wasn’t long ago that they were complaining on how much work they had to put in on making the City Living Expansion whenever simmers complain about the lack of lots we get with each new world we get and wanting more apartments or being able to build our own custom apartments.
As for gameplay in general even on Sims 3 for Xbox 360 I’m able to play that and the storytelling writes itself where as I have to rely on my storytelling a lot whenever I play Sims 4.

There is no gameplay. Nothing to work for. Every sim is the same regardless of moods. Nothing matters. They make it so easy you might as well turn it on, chest a million dollars and shut it back off.
I’m done now, I just can’t do it anymore. Start game. Start in starter home, place some easels, plant some stuff. Start a club and in a few days be rolling in cash. Yawn. Never leave home lot because there’s no reason to. Not getting a job because there’s no reason to. Nothing. I could have went out and bought a Barbie dream house and 30 dolls and not spent as much money for the same experience.
If it hadn’t been for my daughter, I wouldn’t have bought the glitchy dlc and even she bores of it after a few minutes.
How anyone can defend this game is beyond me. If you like it, fine. But don’t simp. There are serious flaws with this game from the start and pointing it out isn’t hating. It’s trying to get value for your money.
Imagine buying a home, going out to the site all excited to see your wonderful new home and finding out it was just a refrigerator box….

This is the only real criticism I've heard about TS4. Also I'm glad you're an old school sims player because these people don't even know what they are missing.
As a player since sims1, i agree. TS4 has no gameplay. So boring. And TS4 lovers are often agressive if you speak. Btw this TS4 is for kids.
I played Sims 1 and I still play Sims 3 (with the mod to recognize modern GPUs, and upping the memory from 2 to 8). If Sims 3 had been 64-bit, we wouldn't have needed another. When the Sims 4 was first announced, the trailer showed off the walks. That first look sealed it for me. This was not a Sims I wanted to support. The more I heard, the less I wanted this version of the Sims. I see it hasn't improved over time, and I'm glad I skipped it.
Honestly, this is just people in general.

The sims 4 game is beautiful but it’s absolute ass in everything else so I pírate everything on it cuz I am not going to waste a DIME on a bunch of idiots that take pride in scamming these newer children playing the game now.
I'm so annoyed with this game and everything around it that i'd rather competition coming preferably from Japan. They get things done and they prioritize things that makes sense.

Oh definitely not! A “revamp” is not the same as a fix. I have no idea why they thought Spa Day was the one to update, or why they think they can go right to updates before fixing what exists, but you CANNOT do a pack refresh on Dine Out anymore than you should be building an additional floor on an apartment tower that’s already leaning. All the people asking for Dine Out to be refreshed have me terrified, because eventually the bosses are going to say “okay, people want Dine Out refreshed, let’s do that” and then they’re going to give the devs minimal time and demand they add a bunch of new features without “wasting” time on bug fixes and it’s going to be a complete disaster. It’s just like High School - everyone really wanted it, but the base setup of how Sims age and do automated stuff just wasn’t there and I SAID THAT before it released and then people are surprised that update was so bugged and underwhelming. 🤦🏼♀️

The biggest reason everything sells is that the Sims community is bigger than it's ever been before, thank to several factors. There is a big part of it that never played any previous sims game. Personally, the Sims4 is the only sims game I 've ever been able to play through its complete state. Sims3, for as good as it was had massive lag and empty community lots. It was also a technical nightmare that crapped out on me just before Generations came out.
