beautiful from 10' away but boy she's rough. Nothing on the interior works as it should. but the paint color with those wheels.... gorgeous
At 13:25 you can see that there's no shield over the flywheel. Ouch! That's going to fill up with dirt and grit in the gears of the flywheel in no time and cause huge damage. It's an inexpensive fix and I recommend that be fixed ASAP. I can't believe the prior owner was driving it like that. Yikes!
oh no !! I've been Driving my f150 without a flywheel shield for 10 years, I better go slap one on there. lol
I drove my 69 camaro bb 427 daily for more than 10 years no fly wheel cover a never was a issue.
@@bullbutter9699 You've been lucky, that's all. You'd be singing a different song when some stones get in there and destroy all the teeth on the gears. I hope you don't do too much off-roading with that truck. Happy Trails.
@@indman101 That's a beautiful and valuable car. Don't confuse luck with a good idea. You can also drive on bald tires and no brakes. That doesn't make it a smart choice.
A lot of these custom cars people don't bother replacing the sheld
I'm sure this will make someone a decent entry level muscle car driver, it just ashamed that whoever did the body and paint didn't take time to align the doors to the front fenders and quarter panel body linesbefor they painted and put the striping on, because later down the road if someone does line them up to look right the stripes will be out of line and still look scabbed together, the wheels would have to go, they look ghetto, i'm not sure if its the body style or the paint that they clash with could be both, but it will make someone a decent fixer up without breaking the bank, if done right this car could be worth many times the asking price
That needs the price come down at 12 thousand
I was about to say, $12,000 worth of work and this would be a nice $25,000 car.
I have owned many Mustangs. Bought my first one in 1975. Of all the Mustangs I had and sold, want back, was my 70 Sportsroof in Calypso Coral. If you were closer I'd have to take a look. Under side looked like a lot of floorpan work. Good news is ALL the parts needed are easy to find. Bad...it might be a LOT of parts!! Dead spot may be a Accelerator pump if it's a FoMoCo carb (2100 4100) Thanks!
PS: That was converted from a coupe?!?!?! Wow.....never seen that!
I guess that's why they call it a custom Mustang it needs a lot of customization
That’s a lot of money but will need much more to make it right
❤ the slow motion undercarriage shots...nice car for a shop to fix then flip...got an idea for a TV show for ya...take a car from the lot and completely restore it while showing every little thing that was fixed...I'd watch😊.
I have a 70 that leaks in the back EXACTLY as this one. That led me to the louvers, the ONLY thing I haven't checked. Take the screws out, and discover the "gasket " is hard, inflexible plastic. No seal at all, $20 online rubber complete set. Amazing the short cuts some people take.
Nice looking car! Needs a lot of work though!
Nice looking from 10 ft
I'll give ya 4
Thanks for sticking the camera on the shotgun seat, it really brought the road trip to life
I've really come to appreciate green as a color over the last decade. That said, I wonder why so many people sell their cars with broken gauges. Are they that tricky to fix? Not sure, been a long time since I had an older car.
Rough yet rare , she's a hi maintenance girl ❤️🩹
WOW!! Cool car BUT What's with the "fake" H-Pipe crossover exhaust tube that's only welded on ONE side??? Like a "Mechanic's Headliner" this must be an "Upholsterer's Exhaust"....
This is a car that has some serious potential. However, like many other older cars, it appears it was in the hands of someone who didn't know what the hell they were doing or didn't have the money to fix it right. Underside shot shows uncovered torque converter/flex plate, passenger side of H pipe not connected and passenger side floorplan installed like crap. On the outside doors not aligned properly and on the inside nothing works, windows do not line up, rear window leaks and so on. Wheels are hideous on this car as well. It has a lot of flaws, but overall it has some serious potential. Hopefully it goes to a good home and receives the TLC it needs.
And I love all Maple motors videos
Man thats a lot of money for a car with a good paint job an all them water leaks smh
I love the look of these fastbacks!
My favorite body style.
There was a poor attempt to put an H pipe on the exhaust lol its come completely off the passenger side pipe and there wasn't even a hole for the exhaust to equalize lol
Very nice I would love to own it even with the flaws they be easy to fix
Looks like a decent project car.
If i were going to buy a conversion, I'd want to know who did it and have it checked out and measured. It's a good-looking car and the color is nice. The sad part of a car like this is, at the end of the day, it's still just a coupe.
Also not the same wheels as they show on the website with a lower price. Although I'm not complaining about the other wheels as they are a better fit for this car.
Nick you do an excellent job of displaying every car with transparency, Thanks I'm sure that it is greatly appreciated by all. This 70 Mustang has great potential, my worrying concern with this car is, could the large gap between the door windows be due to an ill fitting fastback conversion. Any way keep up the good work, your personality matches your work ethics, 1st rate.
hesitation might be accelerator pump on carb....
Good start and price for a Project car. I could feel a HO 302 swapped under the hood for some GO...
Coyote Swap from an F150. but With a 6-speed manual. I would have to agree that is a little too pricey. But I mean It is a pretty Car.
They cars are very expensive an most of them have problems
Not everybody is Jay Leno. If you are buying a 50-60 year old car and don't expect any flaws or problems going forward, well you're a certain type of buyer.
Our cars are priced so low other dealers buy them and resale them. Same car different lot
You can see why the fuel gage isn't working. Easy fix. Needs some body adjustment and proper Era wheels but it certainly sounds healthy.
Another beautiful amazing Mustang perfect colours thanks Nick have a very nice day mate
Thanks Nick
Nice old mustang
What a hoopdie.
You can use STARTRON fuel treatment. It's good up to 2 years
Would be a great candidate for a restomod
What size are those wheels?
Do you actually fix things like wipers or blinkers or general things that don't work?
No we don’t
Need to put the wheels and tires you put on the white 69 Camaro on this one
Classic.
I love mustangs❤❤
i think i like it
Never diven in the Rain. Lol.
modern wheels don't belong on classic cars
That's just your opinion...that looks just fine...good thing nobody thats spending they own money on their own investment is gona care what u think or how u feel about it
You ever hear/ seen a restomod???
Thats most ridiculous thing ive heard today an thats saying alot.
Lifters?
I'll be paying you boys a visit because your prices are on the money.
Think you love it now, wait till you drive it 😮
Would look great with some cragers
Automatic....nooooooo....ugh that ruins everything
#Project
Green…
Funny window shoppers are always the ones to run their mouths descent cars at descent prices and mostly below what others are asking without doing the test drives , keep up the great work theres a reason vids are viewed 10k times in less than 12hrs .
beautiful car beautiful day me with my camel 😢
You have a backup light out on the passenger side bro.
Grammer correction; "I prefer not to."
Needs a lot of work ..definitely not priced like a true in great shap 70 fasback .this it a great for a finish it yourself kind of project..would make a great driver quality car .
If I remember correctly you had a fastback clone a year or two ago
Different year I believe it was a 69
Even with nothing working, those wheels would be the first thing to go. 🚮
I think you mean a Boss 302 clone and not a fastback clone. FYI.
No they completely shaped the roof
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate Why is this concept so hard to grasp? Coupe to fastback conversions are nothing new, been doing this for many years.
This 70 Mustang is a p o s
Go to muscle cars for sale an see the difference or either coyote classics way better cars
They also look to be much more expensive so it's not really apples to apples, right? Different levels of the market. Seems to me like Maple has nice cars at fair prices. If you need a show car or have $50K plus to spend, there are places to find that too. So... it's all good in my book.
For triple the price.
No comparison , we have 30k cars they have 100k cars
Funny story they buy cars from us and triple the price literally doing nothing to them. They got you fooled my friend
@MrTyronecoe It's kinda uncool to promote other dealers like that... if you don't like what you see, then 🤫 move along.
Built Ford Junk! My worst muscle cars, were way better! GM & Dodge.🎉
Great looking car for a conversion.
I’m looking at $154,000 Canadian for a true, numbers matching, Boss 302. That’s after some hard negotiations. He has my deposit, his wife wants $160,000. That’s top dollar for a car that’s been repainted and has just under 80,000 miles. I’m sure I’m looking at a rebuild on the motor soon enough. The 4 speed has already been sorted though, new clutch. I will buy the car, but we will see how close I get to my original goal of $155K CAD!! 😂😂😊😊
Makes $27K for a driver/project car look pretty ok!! 😊
The alternator has some play in the armature,,, get rid of it, new belts and no more noise. (I think 😊)
It’s so gorgeous aside from those uglyass wheels
