I would like to get the brushes used in the interior cleaning and the front grill and tires. I also would like the leather cleaner and interior cleaner
I'm 69 years old and my first car as a 17 year old was a '72 Challenger, white with a blk vinyl top & blk interior, 318 Cubic inches. I put on pinstripe & put in a cassette player myself. Loved that car! If I remember correctly the MSRP was around $3,450! Brings back GREAT memories but so sad to see that car in such bad shape..
I was very fortunate. My parents were lower middle class but I worked since I was 12 and saved for a down payment and I think my dad payed my insurance ( I honestly don’t remember). Loved that car but only had it for about 2-3 years
The hood is stock to Challenger RTs. The red "billboard" panels on the rear quarters are found on Plymouth Cudas and not Challengers normally so the paint is custom. The silver tape was probably stick on pin striping or reflective tape that is pealing off. Even though it is not a "Hemi" car it is still savable and valuable because of the year. 440 RT and 6pack cars demand high value and even 383 and 340 Magnum cars of this year are very desirable. They make reproduction parts and panels and this would be a good candidate for restoration.

@@mydime7045 I Hate it because everyone sticks a Freakin LS in ANYTHING! I know it's not a Highly Sought after Challenger like an RT, but atleast put back what it left the factory with.
70 Challengers don't have a frame to take off. Mopar of this generation are all Unibody cars unless we are talking C-body. B-body, E-body, and A-body Mopars are all unibody.
Just brought home a garage find 1963 Bonneville, sat for 17 years. Just 2 weeks ago have it running and driving and have been cleaning it for three days, it's been a lot of fun.
A keystone is the center top of masonry. It hold things together like arches. Nice score on the double cheeseburger! I also wish they were still a dollar. I wish a regular cheeseburger was a dollar....😢😢😢
Clarification on the car not being an R/T, you could not get a 340 R/T challenger in 1970, it came with the A66 performance package which is basically an R/T without the badges and the 2nd digit in the VIN being an S as that specified the R/T line, since this car is numbers matching, it is a high dollar car regardless, could fetch up to 60k plus depending on some options and if its entered in an auction, it should be put back to factory as they are only original once, its pretty easy to find one that isnt to restomod if that is your thing
Yes. Please make a list of your great products, you work is amazing. Thank you guys for this great oldies barn find videos, keep up with your great entertainment and knowledge videos.
In the 1970 everyone wanted this car it looked fast just sitting still in a dealership probably put a 100k in it to make it showroom condition again but it's a six-figure car at auction could be around $500k if it's a number matching car
Great video guys! I like that you guys are getting up to speed with the significance of the cars you’re pulling out of the barns! I’m pretty sure this Challenger had the A66 340 performance package which makes it worth restoring. The A66 code will be found on the fender tag. Condition doesn’t look too bad although I would like to see what the frame rails look like. Sure it’s going to need new fenders and floor pans and that stuff is available. The owner says he has the 340 so it’s a complete car. I find it a little strange the car had 72-74 fenders and a 71-74 shifter but all that is easily remedied. The owner should sell the car to someone who has the time and interest to restore the car.
I can totally see this car back on the road cruising down the highway rockin' The Stooges "Funhouse" on 8-track. Looks like everything could be repaired/replaced 100%.
Awesome job guys! Great car! Congrats btw for the 1 million subs. I just noticed that. I remember watching you guys cleaning cars in the parking garage with 100k subs. It’s awesome to see young guns work hard and make something out of nothing and helping people along the way. I applaud you guys 👍👍👍👍
Brent it looks like they removed the GAS CAP cover that was originally on that charger. You should ask Owner if he has the cool gas cap cover that pops open.
Judging by the inside of the door jambs, that was a Plum Crazy originally. If that engine the owner has is the original engine, that would be a heck of a valuable car fully restored. Most desirable year, most desirable color, and numbers matching? Heck of a car.
@72GTX70RTSE It must have been. The inside of the door jambs looked very purple to me. I know the inside of the engine bay was black, and that's often a place that isn't painted when doing a custom job. I did think that was odd, but since the engine was out, I thought maybe they'd done it too. Oh well, the triple black was also a very nice looking car.
17:16 I was scared you were going to leave that last little spot on there 😂 your channel is so satisfying, thank you for cleaning all of these cars. It’s really nice to watch!!!

The bug in question as other people pointed out is called a silverfish. They are quite a nuisance as they chew through wood and fabrics, which is a bit of an issue as the interior of this car has fabric materials in it, especially the carpet, meaning the silverfish could eat through it, ruining the interior. They are also a menace when it comes to certain household items containing wood or certain fabrics. I've never seen a silverfish in person, but a similar menacing bug that does roughly the same thing is the woodlouse or slater bug. EDIT: Silverfish are harmless, but they are a bit of a problem

I liked learning about the condition of the car you have vs the ones in the other guys shop. The one you have doesn't even look like it could be used for parts.
I had several Challengers and Cudas in the late 80s. One of my favorites was a 1970 Cuda with a 440 in it my senior year of high school. It was already 17 years old at the time and was a little beat up and paid $1,200 for it. Eventually sold it to a friend for around 2 thousand who ended up fully restoring it. I think its worth like $100k now. Not one of my better financial moves lol.
Someone will put this car back on on street. Will take some money but doable. One note : people get upset about finding these cars in this shape. But 40 years ago they were old worn out cars and worth very little. So these cars are lucky to still be around for they never made it to the scrap yard.

33:35 What this guy doesn't understand is that most real racers didn't want the Hemi, which is why so few of them were sold. This car needs its original engine rebuilt and put back in, painted back to the silver it should be and sold to somebody that actually will care for the car. The 340 Challenger is by far more desirable for the simple fact that is can be used every day on the street unlike a Hemi car.
Some good comments below about the numbers on this car. Would love to see the whole fender tag to decode this car. Also, the fenders on this car are off a 72-74. It was nice to see the rallye instrument cluster in this car which is what tipped me off that it wasn’t just a 318 2bbl. I hope someone takes the time to restore this car properly. Even though it’s an A66 package and not officially an R/T this is still a super desirable car with one of the most consistent and reliable engines that Chrysler ever offered.
