      @@paxhumana2015 Elitism? Funny. I am a Mopar man all my life, and I'd have to say the Challenger is an exception. But the new school charger with 4 doors? Nah, they could have made it better. The rear tunnel window is missing. I hope they come out with a new Charger design though. And base it off the '68.

    Who knows what it's like in person but it looks gorgeous in the video. It's refreshing to see someone asking reasonable prices and not just putting 50k on the window. My first car was a 1969 coronet 440, it also had a 318 in it and I loved it. I'm current looking for one to build with my daughter, wish I would've seen this right away. Great car, great video!

    • @Moparmaga-1
      @Moparmaga-1 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Jim Watson I'm probably saying this & you already are aware but those rv 440s are good for stroker motors but dogs in stock form and have a short shaft trans.
      Look for a 4 door chrysler new Yorker, imperial, there's lots of cars that are cheap with 440s atleast any 440 after 73. Just in case ya didn't know the best 440 blocks for strokers are 76 & up. Bigger main webs. But if you're gonna do a stroker the 400 block is the best up to 72-74 630 casting because it has massive beef, nothing like the 230 casting but can handle 600 up easy with stock main caps. Very reliable in 451 471 cubes

    I remember - - days when cars like that were around. Had a friend with Beautiful Roadrunner convertible. Painted in TCU purple "fade", then Clear-coated with Mother of pearl. Mopar ruled the Muscle Car world back then. Nothing in the world can equal the sweet sound of a hemi. The only thing I heard that was as sweet was a Ford flathead V8 on straight pipes. Saweet!
    My brother had A Super Bee, and traded it in for a new '70 Ford Cobra-Jet Torino. Had a horizontal tach in the dash. Fast, but not as fast as the Super Bee🐝. Yep. Those were the days.

    I was a new car and used detail person for the Chrysler dealer in my hometown when I was around 19 or 20 years old . I luckily drove GTX Road Runner Challengers etc during the time . I am 69 today . Those were the best days of my life. Unfortunately I never owned a hot nice one of them cars. I drove a superbird before the person who bought it brand new after I got it ready for delivery. Wish I had one of those cars made back then by Mopar.

    I would have to go with 3.55 gears in the rear for all around street/highway, 3.91:1 or for strip for a 318. 318's are a tough engine and if this is one of the early ones plus the blower, this is what dreams are made of. This was a Coronet 440 w/318 - I had the '68 Coronet 500 w/318 - fender top blinkers, chrome on the side scallops and scalloped chrome taillights and it could bury the needle past 120, easily toast most GM 350s (those B Bodies were light!) - big deal; but I know guys that would swap 340 heads on the 318 as a straight bolt on and it would FLY. You couldn't kill them. This blower doesn't seem to make this car any faster than my east coast '68 318 back when I bought it in '72 as my first car, $1k age 19. My 2nd car was a little faster - brand new 'Cuda. 🚗
