I just made this and it is absolutely amazing. I put in a teaspoon of instant coffee with the hot water to further heighten the chocolate. And I love the fact that the banana ads moisture but it doesn't taste overly banana in the cake. This is a keeper of a recipe. Thank you!!🌹🌹🌹
just made this today it turned out exactly like the cake in the video! and it tasted really gooodd!!! I want to try this without the bananas and see if i can get a perfect moist chocolate cake but I'm not sure if it will work. Thanks for your recipe it saved my gradma's birthday Edit: I made it without the bananas and it turned out amazing too, so definitely give it a try!
I am making this right now. It's in the oven and i'm making the ganache right now. The cake batter was right, but i still needed to add the water, i did and then it was way too thin. So i added more flour until it was good. Hopefully it will be alright once it goes out of the oven. Edit: Ganache went well and so did the cake, cake is cooling down. Edit 2: It's amazing!!!! The whole family loves it. I will make this again! Very easy and quick recipe. Thank you!
Batter is supposed to be thin…like liquid…it bakes up super fluffy, light and moist. I thought I messed up the first time too but baked it anyway and 💯 perfection!
Just perfect chocolate bread/cake 😋!! I made it in a 8x8 square pan & baked in my small electric Breville toaster oven & came out so moist & delish good! Thank u for another perfect tutorial/recipe.🤗😊
Made this today & it turned out very nicely. I made a couple of tweaks, added a few dashes of cinnamon, added some instant coffee to the hot water and baked in a 9x9 square pan for 40 minutes.
I tried this one, it came out of the oven a little while ago. Although I can't cut it yet I have had a bite, it's as delicious as it looks. I'm going to put on the frosting but it really doesn't need it.
Thank you for sharing your experience Enjoy!!!! Have a wonderful day Charlotte. I will try to make it with sweetener and not very ripe bananas and see how it goes
@@امةًوسطًا-ظ1ع You can ripen your bananas in the oven. I'm not sure of the time or temp but you can find all of that out by doing a Google search. Good luck and Enjoy... 😋
@@karzymimi42 yes, but it's not overwhelming, I think because the chocolate really owns the flavor. I love banana bread but found this a very good recipe , I certainly am going to make it many times, next time I will not use the frosting and thinking it will be just as good. Also thinking of making it in a square pan and adjusting the time and then putting the frosting on like a traditional cake, maybe try experimenting with another flavor of Frosting. I think you could do a lot of things with it. This is a moist cake, not dry at all . Hope this helps you .
I threw too many bananas (4very large ones) so even I reduced the hot water amount, it’s still too runny. I slowly baked almost 2 hours until I felt the batter is all done. It turned out really great, taste good, and moist. I did reduced sugar to 1/2cup as banana is sweet enough for me. It’s just good!
This is an excellent recipe! I saw it first on PASTRY living with Aya which I liked a little more…because more fluffy and moist but this one is great too! I use 1 1/2 tsp of both baking soda and powder and 1 full cup oil (avocado oil is what I use) and my tweak is 1/2 tsp espresso powder (doesn’t taste like coffee! Just amps up the chocolate flavor!) I’m glad I found this one too! Makes about 6-8 Jumbo cupcakes if you don’t want a pan or loaf cake. 👍🏽 Thank you 🙏🏽 😊
Funny you uploaded this today. I have 6 med size ripped bananas that I had planned to smash up then freeze for a later date but 🤔 I love making breakfast for dinner and I always make banana pancakes with those that have been frozen but I think I'm going try this. Chocolate and banana are a classic combo 👌 Think I'll skip on the ganache. It already looks Chocolatey as is. Thanks for the recipe. All the best to you and yours Weng... 🙏
Came back to let you know my thoughts. I made this twice. 1st time I didn't add the ganache as I stated I wouldn't. It was good but I was wrong about how strong I thought the chocolate flavor was going to be. That's why I made it again, lol. This time I did add the ganache but I only made 1/2 the recipe. It was perfectly balanced 👌 Thanks for another satisfying recipe... 😋
You did it again you come up with the most amazing recipes for bananas do you ever freeze your bananas and thaw are you just use the ones that sitting on the counter I don't have to pass some of these recipes down to the family they like bananas let them bake some for their self instead of me doing it all the time but I don't know what they will or not but I'll still pass them down bless evening catching up on alot i missed😊
This looks delicious! Bananas and chocolate; what a perfect combination! Is that the ganache that you used to frost it? It looks like it's different...more like buttercream. I wouldn't expect chilled or even room temperature ganache to spread like that. Thank you!
Good morning. At the beginning when I made this cake the texture was perfect. but now I have a doughy texture after cooking. What could explain that? Even though it's a ga that my loved ones really like

Can use 1 1/2 teaspoon of espresso powder into the dry ingredients too, instead of instant coffee and it increases the chocolate yumminess by 1000 😜

Putting bananas in a brown paper bag and placing them by a window will ripen the bananas quickly! 🍌
Hi. Does the cake have a banana taste?
