Seeing that Xylol /Xylene brings tears to my eyes.....I used to have that in my hardware store whenever I needed it. Now, Illegal in California. I need to move.
I am at the same stage with my Jeep... Since I have installed the wiring harness before, I could really use Fuel Lines next. Thanks for all you do Scott!
You got a very good coverage on that, I find it is easier to get the inside floor right by tipping the tub on its side, that way the dry overspray does not fall back on the lower floor panels(I put cardboard masks on the lower faces to catch the overspray), with a bare tub like you have here that is a much easier way of spraying the inside faces. Stay safe! Chris B.
EDS Transit Scott That’s my good buddy Remy. The Remster. If you look close in the vid, he likes to camp out under the tub and dig himself a cool spot😉😂👍
If anyone outside the US wants to have this colour and you don't find how to get it imported or whatsoever, go to your local paint shop and give them this number 33070 My local paint shop here in Belgium managed to convert this to a modern standard and mix it for rattle cans and 2k paint for my spray gun. It was not cheap (about 100 euro for 1L of paint, hardner and thinner is cheaper. And the cans where around 15-20 i think), but the colour is nice and the quality is good. Hope this helps somebody.
Hello dear Community I need help! My name is Julian Bläsius I am 19 years old and come from Linz Austria. Therefore I would like to apologize in advance for my bad English. Unfortunately my uncle has recently passed away. When we cleaned out his house we found a Jeep Willys MB in the garage. In Austria we have to do a security check every year. This was last done in 1970. So the last time the engine has moved was 50 years ago. Since I have never worked with oldtimers I need help. Can you please give me some tips on how to start the engine without breaking anything. I wish you a nice day. With kind regards Julian
I have shot a video for just you to answer. Many will respond to this. Thank you for your question and your post. Very excited for you my new friend. Video is uploading 👍
Of course, and “stencils”!!! It’s super easy to touch up as well. Available in rattle cans. If you do it, please send me a pic. I think it would be awesome 👏
Hey Scott, I’m planning on painting a high top cargo van with this paint and trying to figure how much I should get. Could you give me any estimates on about how far a gallon of this paint goes? Thanks and very cool jeep!
Austin, I used 1 gallon on the body tub fenders, windshield, hood, top bows. I would say for cargo van, two to three gallons. It’s a one part enamel, and very affordable.👍
I haven’t used hardener, however some I know have. It will give it a bit of a sheen. If you use hardener, make sure it’s compatible with synthetic oil based enamel 👍

I can't find Xylene anywhere local, but I found some Majic Reducer at Tractor Supply. Would that do the trick?
It may cause the finish to have more of a sheen.
The big box stores like Lowe’s and Home Depot have Xylene in the house painting departments.👍
@@TeamG503 I wanted to let you know I did end up using the Majic Reducer based on your comment, and it turned out having a gorgeous satin finish!!!
can decals and badges be applied to this paint? I want to paint my 94 YJ this color

@@TeamG503 Awesome thanks a lot! Have you ever used hardener in it to give it a little more durability?

Do you know which color code on this brand is the lighter one ? Also how do you get a satin finish out of it
33070 RFJP Low Luster Olive Drab from RFJP.
You could add a hardening agent, and probably get a little bit more of a sheen.👍
Hey Scott, was this the same mix you used for your engine? Thanks
C Mathews yes👍
Awesome
What size tip did you use on your gun
Does RFJP sell any jeep paint colors other than OD?
Tom Fitch various shades for the military vehicles. And the most perfect Blue Drab👍
What is the color code??
I need to ask about the air compressor you have when you painted the tub like cam at psi and the paint gun psi at c
