I have one from 2005 in black made in USA. Just bought new roller, belt, HEPA and motor filter and bags. I'm using it for a while since my Fuller Tidy Maid didn't deep clean as well as this one and Fuller was made in China. Eventually going to buy Riccar R30 made in USA. This vacuum replaced a very old Hoover that wasn't HEPA and the power drive went out. Oh, so many vacuums including low end Riccar's and Miele's are made in China. Trying to buy made in USA or Germany is getting harder and harder. So, for now I'll use this old Eureka until I buy new Riccar.
Richard Bilot I agree with you about people who don’t care about their vacuum cleaners, I don’t understand why they would pay so much for them and they don’t care if they run over the cord! That is always driving me crazy in a used vacuum 😠🤦♂️
This is a good video. I have had mine for about 13 year and it's been flawless. Only problem I have is the plastic screw that secures the hose assembly to the base of the vacuum cleaner broke. I may just head over to Ace to see if I can find a generic one that will work.
I used to have one like this except mine was teal, it was basically a trash find, I got it for free because someone didn’t want it anymore, but I don’t know why because it works absolutely flawlessly. I no longer have it because I gave to my history teacher who needed a new vacuum because the teal Hoover Runabout he had in his classroom for 18 years gave out, and he was stoked about it, he loves it, thinks it was so much better than his previous one, he also hated his previous one because it was loud as hell, but Hoover Elite style machines are just like that, overall I feel good that I saved him the cost having to go to Walmart, because if he went there, he would’ve most likely bought a Bissell PowerForce Compact, PowerForce Helix, PowerForce Bagged, Eureka PowerSpeed, Hoover Elite Rewind Plus, or Dirt Devil Power Express, or some other non quality Chinese made vacuum. The Smartvac was made in Mexico
I hear you, m8! My old T Series and Nano Lite had that stupid pleated filter. Bro, my mom was such an idiot that, guess what? She ended up washing the filter instead of cleaning it with another vac. I would have yanked the old belt out and put in a nice, fresh one, AND busted out my dads Ridgid shop vac. AND cleaned every piece of hell out of it. Hows that for a great maintenance job? No?
You said it had a loud noise. It's most likely the motor. I have an older one from 2003-04ish. It's been sitting at my shop for years now. When I brought it back over to my parents house (the original owners) and fired it up, my pops said it was way too loud. After removing panels and further diagnosis. I could spin the motor by and hand and "feel" a spot. Probably a bad bushing but for $30 a motor was a fairly easy fix.
Levi Stone the motor is fine with the brush off and I just replaced the brush roll and that’s not making the noise but there something down there that’s making it loud
I have one. It's good in every way, except that it is VERY LOUD. It is AMAZINGLY LOUD. I can't figure it out right now. I've replaced Belt, Brush Roll, Tightened screws, used silicone lubricant. So far no noise repair. Have you found anything out? Thank you..

I had this vacuum cleaner from December 2007 until May 2015 but I had it in blue.
I have a eureka light speed I love it it picks up good it’s light surprisingly good build quality in my opinion it’s one of the good eurekas
the funny thing about the brushroll iss the center notch it looks like it could fit a eureka model with the direct air

@@richardbilot608 a bushing/bearing sometimes won't be noisy unless a load is put on it.
