My mom got me one of those today and it does have a quick release Cord hook you got to kind of pull it out and then release it

I used to have one of these mine was a 5 amp

These are neat machines. My dad brought one of these in 1999 or 2000. He didn’t like it since it always got clogged up. I used it and I honestly liked it better compared to the black Eureka the Boss. My bagged Bissell lift off has the same little speckles on the machine. I would try using WD 40 to loosen the head from the vacuum. It’s probably been on there for a long time.

Love theses especially the more deluxe ones with the electronic variable speed control. They're so quiet too for their time.

All I can say is I hope you don't treat your significant other that way. I've had this this vacuum for 20 years best ever. BUT had my son vacuum while I was at work now it has a very loud sound. this video was not educational. Just a rant

But why ?

Those motor bearings are extremely shot. They aren’t supposed to sound that high pitched. I’m glad you only got this thing for a dollar. Anything more than that with shot motor bearings would’ve been a scam.

I was worried about how the colors would look on the Filter Queen because the website makes the colors look cheap. I'm glad it looks so handsome in person. I love how pleasant Filter Queen motors sound.

These are supposed to be very quiet, it sounds like yours has some stuff in the fan, if you just get something like compressed air and blow out the fans it should sound way better.
