I can’t believe it! I just found a black eureka smart vac from 2004 brand new in the box for only 55 dollars!! I just picked it up last night! These machines are absolutely amazing! I wanted one of these for years! I always knew they were amazing machines! I just can’t believe the lady I got mine from never used it and kept it new in the box for 15 years! That’s crazy.I’m like still in shock
My grandparents have that exact same model and color that we bought in 2006 to replace the 2001 Kenmore progressive that died and that smartvac is still being use to this day. Awesome cleaner one of the last good Eurekas other then 1934 and bagged contours. The bagless ones are garbage compared to these smartvacs.
Tell me about it, back in the days of the Hoover Elite and Eureka Bravo, the Bravo performed better than the Elite, but the Elite was better built than the Bravo.
The bearings in the brush roll probably seized up and the roller would need to be either replaced or the bearings in the existing roller need to be lubricated.
I used to have one of these. I miss that thing

These are great vacuums, arguably Eureka's best vacuum made, the only thing I have to say about these that's bad, is how heavy they are.
These vacuums are quite powerful. It's one of my main vacuums.

I eventually will try to get my hands on an F&G style Eureka upright.
If you can get one from the late ‘80s with a metal handle, a 6.5 amp motor a VG2 and Rugulator instead of Dial-a-Nap they were at their zenith then.
I used to have that exact same thing. But it kept burning threw belts. So I traded it for my SEBO x4.
You really traded up
Yeah. I would like to have one again though
Btw I used to have one back in the late 2000’s (2007-2011)
You should get a Eureka victory
I loved mine
Same
Mine attempted arson
It’s true that Hoover at the time built a more solid machine but Eureka built a higher performing machine with better attachments

Bruce Solomon I agree 😀
Ever had to change the belt on this? I don’t see how you can get the old belt off and the new belt on?
What year is this specific model made in
I have the exact same one! It’s a shame that eureka doesn’t seem to make good vacuums anymore 😔
I know, these were the last great Eureka vacuums, a little bit heavy, but better built than what Eureka makes today.
Grayson Reichert absolutely agree
Bien

Put new belt on because it was slipping and would not turn beater brush. Same problem with new belt. What gives???

I have a eureka smart vac if you look at my vids it’s in horrible condition but it cleans floors so well
I love mine
I WANT ONE TOO!!!!!!!!!!!
I have that exact same one except it’s the newer model
