This is probably one of the few bagged vacuums that were just as bad as the bagless vacuums of the 2000’s. Would rather own a Sanitaire commercial vacuum with the converter pan for the attachments than I would this.
Btw, I noticed some npc territory on your shirt and those ore the people who bought all the junky vacuums of the 2000’s and 2010’s 😂

      How are these bad

@@FrenchFryCheese04 1. They need a lot of maintenance 2. Were cheaply made 3. Didn’t filter all that well. A majority of consumer vacuums were pure junk and were bought by npc territory along with windmills for brains from this era and those two groups think they are saving money by buying disposable vacuums that last a few years as opposed to buying something that’s going to last for decades. My parents inherited a 1989 Kirby Legend II and has outlived 1 Hoover and 2 Bissells from the 2000’s and is still going strong 33 years later and the npc territory and windmills for brains will have spent more on buying disposable vacuums as opposed to buying something high quality that’s going to last like a Kirby or Rainbow or even central vacuum system.

I still have mine that I got from my grand parents that they bought back in 07. Still runs and I recently put some new filters on it.

These were so common and I remember along with other people these had a long run! These were the few bagged Eureka's that were all right, my goodness how much has changed.

Ive always loved this machine, used one of these on my parents carpet (they own a dyson dc33) and I filled an entire bag up full of sand from their living room alone.

My friend's mom used this model machine like 15 years ago.

I had the burgundy model just like this one about a year ago, I own a later red model now with the power paw tool, and it's for the most part the same cleaner with some minor cosmetic differences. The performance on these is nearly on par with that of a direct air vacuum (I would argue that these perform better than the Hoover Windtunnel of the time, although their performance is good too, but I digress), my only dislikes for these are how heavy they are and their overly stiff the pedal release.

I have the Ultra Whirlwind (bagless version of this) it was NOS. It’s so strange and one of a kind. I would imagine it was a pain to maintain but it’s so quirky and a lot of fun for me to have. I also owned a blue Smartvac and I tested 85 CFM at the cleaner head with a 2/3 full bag. It slapped the crap out of my carpet too so I couldn’t complain about its ability to clean my carpets.

I have the bright red later version, its the exact same as these ones besides for some cosmetic changes. Not going to lie I actually love it, its not the best machine I own, far from it, but it still is way better then any Shark.

Good to see real world testing of it. Wrt brush roller pickup, possibly because suction port's way off to one side (plenty of distance to bleed off suction/lift).

Plus, this is one of the few bagged vacuums that aren't any better than the baggless vacuums we worked on.
Eureka in general, hasn't made anything good since the 90s. The newest one we worked on is the FloorRover, which made us want to turn Eureka away.
I love your list. Eureka should actually go in the NPC territory since they are sold at Walmart mainly.

My parents had one of those, but it was heavy. It was noticeable because my mother, an average size woman, had to carry it up and down stairs. We then got a new Dyson, which my mother was really excited about.

While these are cheaply made, the motors in these tend to last because they have Ametek Lamb motors in them. The older Dirt Devils were still cheaply made. The only thing good about them was the Ametek motor.
