    Please smash that like button.
    It took about 15 minutes of actual work, the tires are kumho 245/35r18 mounted on a 18x10j bbs rc 301 wheel which sadly is in very bad condition

    i see some dislikes and would like to point out , this is in any way not a recommended way to take a tyre off a nice wheel.
    also when you get used to a certain technique you get better at it and faster.
    a while back i bought a strong tyre machine and a balancer, ofcourse it's easier now and safer for the wheels!

      I don’t know if you’re using any standard practices here but the bottle jack inside a steel frame looks impressive to me... I’m thinking bicycle racks in a supermarket parking lot

    Came here to double check before I do my 22's. For those that want to simplify it, use a scissor jack under a truck or suv if you don't want to build a bridge. Most scissor jacks have a curved larger base and really help with breaking that bead. Easier to handle too. Also, just use a towel under the tire tools if you wanna save your paint.

    I think it's easier when your rim is tapered like that.. Let's the tire have more give. My rim is neatly flat all the way across making it a nightmare with the tire spoons.

    • @user-rp4je2gc2o
      @user-rp4je2gc2o  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ian Hill real time is about 15 to 20 minutes a wheel, breaking the bead with improvised tools sucks though.
      the spray can is just some rubber conditioner, anything works that makes the rubber slippery instead of grippy , but don't use oil it'll weaken the rubber, i use soap and a paintbrush now

    in that time before you dropped the bead from the rim i would have done all 4 wheels replaced tires. whats the point doing these struggle ? your rims are just badly scratched anyway.

      @@adziomen well i have my own tyremachine and balancer now, so yeah i agree. I just left this video on because it got some views and positive comments. Why did i remove them myself?you might ask. Cause it was only 2 wheels and by the time i would be at a tyreshop and back it would of taken me the same time and maybe 8 euro on top so that was my motivation 😂

    I got the same kumho tires and at 1st i did not have the space to get the tire iron between the tire and wheel to flip it over... At some point i got space but i could not flip the tire over the wheel... The sidewall was TOO stiff...

    • @benadams8525
      @benadams8525 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It literally worked in front of all of our eyes. So it does work, you just couldn't get it to work. Is it worth the effort? That's a whole other question...

    • @timtaylor9590
      @timtaylor9590 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@benadams8525 yea i got it to work but i needed two jacks and it wasnt hard at all. i think its hard to take off lower profile tires. my tire would go flat in two days because the bead had leaks all around it, so i popped it off cleaned it out and applied a light coat of slime on the bead now it holds air perfectly.

    Nice Job. But Kinda cheating with the box tubing. Try using the following 2 pieces of angle iron, a 4 lb gimpy and a lever or 2. I always have that in my boot and I have never come unstuck.

    • @user-rp4je2gc2o
      @user-rp4je2gc2o  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      intention was to save 24 euro for having my tires dismounted at a tireshop, i only needed them off to refinish the wheels, so i saved 24euro and didn't lose any time because driving there alone wouldve taken me the same time haha
