I honestly don't need to read a single comment because no matter what anyone says this by far is the best method and its not even close. You are a genious and this video doesn't get enough credit. You have a new subscriber. Thank you so much bro!
Can't ask for anything more from this video, simple topic, short and quiet to the point, excellent production quality, entertaining and informative. Thanks
I think a lot of videos of people attempting to try to do this, this was the smoothest I never seen it done without super expensive machines, hats off👍
After watching your video , and a few others. You guys gave me the confidence to remove my tire from the rim which had a bead leak on it. I was finally successful and cleand up the old rim and treated it with Ospho which is drying over night and then I can paint it all over before I put the tire back on. Thanks Samers!! It is for a wood splitter that I have restored. LOL
That was awesome! I recall backyard tire changes with multiple guys, huge prybars... broken tire irons... this would have saved us... if only we'd seen this in the 1980s!
Truely one of the best videos I've seen. I wanted to replace my TPMS's and didn't have the money to spend on expensive tools. THANK YOU very much for posting this video.
What an excellent and VERY helpful video for those who don't have a tire machine. It is very kind of you to put together this video to help others Thank you
Excellent video...Well presented with no fluff just easy to follow directions! Not to take anything away from your wooden frame idea, but I am always nobody has developed a large metal G clamp for doing this part...
I made myself a bead breaker of a completely different design to yours and it worked a treat but I struggled to remove the tyre. you made the tyre removal look easy, I'm going to try your method of removal. Thanks for shareing
Wow...I watched 4 videos of people using 4×4 wood and a vehicle, a scissor jack under a car and a floor jack with ratchet straps. Each one had me cringing thinking something horrific would happen. But this video with the wood form and rod with scissor jack is an engineering marvel that tops all I've seen. Good job!! I may go high tech with mine using a longer bottom wood to keep the complete tire level or add angles to that to keep it from rocking. This idea will cause me to stand the tire up, put the wood thru a spoke and lay it down level. We'll see how it goes?
very slick, I would like to see how to do that on a modern motorcycle tubeless mag wheel with a motorcycle tire. Those are the ones that are tough, especially if you use a Z rated or V rated radial tire, 60 or 70 series. can this be done while the brake discs are still attached to the wheel? That is how I do it using a Plastic milk crate and I usually have to use three tire irons and rubber lube, not dishwashing liquid, because dishwashing liquid has LYE in it, which is corrosive to aluminum
Update: today my wife stepped on a tire with her heel while I stepped on the other side and it actually "just went on. : Whoa! ...I like the scissor jack thing! :) The hammer to get it off, be careful not to hit the rim...like I did LOL One of the better "ease of dismount" vids I've seen, thanks!
I use the receiver hitch on my SUV as the weight. Scissor jack base is exactly like a wheel presser foot. Toss the deflated tire under the receiver, place the jack and give it a few cranks.
Excellent training video Sir, I thoroughly enjoyed watching it and it has already given me ideas how to change or fix punctures on my ride-on mower tyres. Nice to see you are still using the old Black and Decker Workmate at the end of the video. I still have mine also but I really need to change the wood and I have no idea where the plastic inserts have gone. :) Thankyou.
Excellent video, no BS just useful information. Thanks for taking the time to make the video, I really enjoyed it and will put the shared info to good use. I also subscribed.
your video is awesome! I watched probably 10 other videos and couldnt get the tires off. I watched yours and didn't have any problems! thank you!! this saved me $100💲💵
Just pulled 4 tires off from steel rims tonight using this method. Thanks very much for the technique. I'm not however going to risk scratching my new alloys by installing. Don't trust my luck, so they're going to a shop 😊
This is the clearest instructional video. I appreciate your contribution. I , however, have a question with "make sure the valve is facing the front". What does it mean?
if the valve was facing you when you push the tire down it will block the tire bead from going to the rim groove then you will not have enough room to get the tire off.
Just stellar! I've just watched about 8 videos, and this guy gets it. And makes that wood frame and bolt setup to do it better, and more accurately than driving a car onto a long 4"x4" piece, or to struggle too long with screwdrivers without using that small block of wood for leverage, etc. Some forget to use soapy water. Others forget to put something down to protect the face of the alloy wheel. BRAVO!
This is a great video, I watched dozens and this is very promising and very economical. Don't listen to all of these TH-cam Monday quarterbacks. If they had great or better ideas, they would not be up on TH-cam making negative comments. I was looking for a solution to avoid going to the tire shop to change out 4 tires. I also did not want to spend $100, or $200 on the Harbor Freight specials, only to modify it, use it one time every 5 years. Shade tree mechanics and weekend warriors buy these, not your professional shops. IF I build this and it does not work that great, its not like I am losing a lot of money. Its worth a trip to Menards. I even have a jack that uses a bolt so I can use my impact gun.
Nice job! I do this same way, 20+ years ago. 1. Your tire is soft, its more easy to do this. Try this metod with soviet old tires)))) or when you outside in winter. 2. Some time tire "glued" to rim wery strong and you must put the bar below the jack. Sorry for my english, greets from Ukraine.
Thanks for the info! for Some time tire "glued" to rim very strong and you must put the bar below the jack. please watch the video to the end will see how ? to take the glued tire off the rim.
ABSOLUTLEY EXCELLANT VIDEO TUTORIAL SIR! So many clever people out there in the world that can think there way around a problem and come up with an answer...Well done first class AAA+++
This is one of the best improvised bead breaker using scissor jacks that I have seen. Thanks for the video! For the wooden tool you made, the top wooden plate doesn't provide a structural support while using the tool, correct?
I would like to add, I modified your tool as my rim had only 1" diameter holes. The problem I had while installing the tire was to get the second side tucked in. In your vid, you stand on it and do it and it looks great. In reality, one needs the tire lip in the deep groove and work your way around
Thanks man, this worked perfectly. I modified your design a bit, using 2 M6 threaded rods as side columns because I didn't hace wood long enough, and putting two big pieces of wood on the top and the bottom (without threaded rod there, but my jack is a bit different to yours), worked just as well, and can be taken apart pretty fast :D
I will try this one. Much more storage friendly than other tools I've seen. What is the top wooden bar for? The rod will lock the sides in place as soon as you start putting on pressure, so is it needed? My guess is that it is just a measuring device to make sure the sides are on the correct distance from each other, but that is just a guess.
this is measuring device to make sure the sides are on the correct distance from each other, And prevent the sides from separating, keep it a square when start applying pressure
Brilliantly simple! :) Have wondered many times about this. I use a scaffolding pole, a loop of nylon rope as a fulcrum on top of a long piece of 2"x4" hardwood. Rather like a big pair of pincers. :) You didn't seem to protect the rim coating. Maybe it didn't matter here.
Best video on TH-cam...straight to the point ,no dumb music
Glad you think so

Fr what this guy said
Even cheaper. Few tools

I appreciate, thank you
Yes very nice, tip- top quality work!
@@samershammersI just knock it off the rim no problem
It's amazing how different minds tackle the same problem. I love your design. Easy to build too (no welder needed). Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
This is the smoothest tire bead breaking video I've ever seen. I HAVE to try this!! This would save a lot of money!
Glad you like it!
By far the best method to manually mount and unmount tires with simple hand tools. Excellent video. Thank you.
You are welcome!
This video saved my life all the rest of the videos on TH-cam for tires don’t help at all your videos make me smarter 😅
Thank you
brilliant video, no frills, no BS, just a lot of knowledge & skill passed on to us, thanks !
Probably the best video out there. Everyone else makes it complicated.
Thanks, this is the best video I've seen on changing tyres!!!!!! Simple and fast. Well done!

Same here
I am glad to hear that, thank you
Changing trailer tires and tried breaking the bead 3 different ways. This was the easiest by far. Wish I saw this sooner. Great video ❤
Glad you liked it!
I have changed a lot of tires. You taught me a few new tricks!
Glad you liked it
Your technique is really smooth ! I can tell that you thought about that a lot and have much experience.
thanks,

Thanks, so detailed 👍
Glad you think so
Best no-nonsense video on this topic. Newbie here, done in 10 minutes. Thank you!!

Doing this this weekend. Thank you for this tool. Every other video Ive seen looks like it would damage the of out of the tire. Awesome video. ❤❤❤❤
Good luck!

Using your car to squash the edge of the wheel is actually really simple. As long as the tire is no good anymore.
Glad to hear that Thank you for watching.

Great job with simply explain .thank you very much for knowledge sharing and keep up the good work .
simple and genius... just a question. What is the purpose of the top horizontal wood piece of the bead breaker wooden frame

Hi great idea. Any video showing how to make that tool
Watch the video until the end. Thanks for watching.
You are a GENIUS! I have the same tire i need to change the valve stem. That would definitely work. Thank you.
Glad to help
Het is echt een goed idee, bedankt en doorgaan 👍👌
thank you
Thanks. You build a good and cheaper tool. I've learned how to take/put a new tire.
Glad to help
Thank you my friend. Namaste. This is a great technique.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Best diy method I’ve seen well done
ABSOLUTLEY EXCELLANT VIDEO TUTORIAL SIR! So many clever people out there in the world that can think there way around a problem and come up with an answer...Well done first class AAA+++
glad to hear that thank you for watching
Protect this man at all costs
Best method I've seen to date, but instead of wood, I'm going to use some 80/20 aluminum that I have lying around.
thanks
Good job man 🥇
Nicely done.
A good original looking idea.
I may try to use a bottle jack, but thank you for the ideas.
Go for it! Thanks for watching
You make it look SO easy...i cant wait to try it.
Thank you for watching.

great video thanks for sharing can you tell me the thickness of the wood and the rod.
i built this with 2x4s & a 3/4" threaded bar from Lowes. it popped the bead on my 275 60 r20 wheels that have been together for over 10 years
Wow! Makkelijk en nuttig! Bedankt 🙏
thank you
HEY! You invented something! YOu have one year form the date of this video to get patent. 2 Months?
glad to hear that thank you for watching

Do you have a HF tire changer? If you have, could you make a video on how to install a tire using HF tire changer? Thanks
Excellent video! Can you provide the measurments of the woods you used? I have the same tire size. Thank you.
8 in width under the wheel x19 in Hight, Thanks for watching

this is measuring device to make sure the sides are on the correct distance from each other, And prevent the sides from separating, keep it a square when start applying pressure
It prevents the frame from twisting.
Worked for me! I was able to dismount 4 large truck tires by hand with minimal profanity.
Glad it was helpful!
Wow this is great idea
Thank you 🙏🏻
How do you balance the tire?
Did you have to balance out tire? And what air compressor you use? Id like a portable 1 with lots of psi
Thanks for watching, any compressor should do the job.
Great idea 💡 👍 👏 👌 Thanks 😊 👍 🙏
Most welcome 😊
This is awesome. Thank you for this video.
Glad you liked it!
Thanks mate, looks like the life is easy with your tips
Very helpful, thank you 🙏👍
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome video, looks very easy. I just have one question, how thick is the metal bar that you are using?
You can use big flathead Screwdriver
I'm guessing M14 threaded bar
The same or slightly thicker that what the scissor jack uses
You teach the world your way!
thanks for watching
The soapy water is the missing key. thank you Sir key master 👍👍seriously thank you
thanks for watching
