    That was great! It really should have been a no brainer for me since I always did the initial installation by hand and that first lip I do in six second flat....but, it made total sense stepping and going around in a circle keeping the bead in the drop center. Using the wives linens and Suave was gold, thought!

These went on a 4WD SUV that replaced the 70 series tires it had on it, so they are definitely considered low profile for any 4x4. Thanks for watching!

    Funny how these videos omit taking the old tyre off an alloy rim, that’s when you’ll damage the rim without a tyre changer. If it’s a steel rim it’s easy with tyre levers but not easy with alloys as they’ll get damaged.

    • @chanraxter2015
      @chanraxter2015  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There was no tire to take off as you might have missed the part where I said this was a "new Verde wheel?" Anyway, you're right, you will need tools to remove a tire. However, I've did it many many times by wrapping my tire tool with tape to get the 1st bead off and using a rubber mallet to get the 2nd bead off. It can be done without damaging the wheel for a non-gorilla type person, but of coarse some people can tear up anything! Thanks for watching!

      Ok. You probably need to tell all the tire manufacturers in the USA then because they say this:
      "What is considered a low profile tire?"
      "WHAT ARE LOW PROFILE TYRES. Low profile tyres have a shorter sidewall or a lower aspect ratio than normal tyres. They also have larger tread blocks, a stiffer, wider apex and can be made from specialised compounds. Generally a tyre with a 50 aspect or less is considered to be low profile."

      Watch it on a cell phone like 99% of the other watchers and it will look perfect! As far as these not being low profile tires, well try telling that to your local tire shop when they want to charge you extra for mounting anything 50 series or less because they say they ARE low profile tires! Then check with all the tire manufactures and they tell will all tell you the same thing. Finally, type in "low profile tire definition" in a google search and this is what comes up; "Generally a tire with a 50 aspect or less is considered to be low profile." Thanks for watching!
