I think then I was using a Powerstroke brand electric pressure washer. The pump failed on it a few years ago and replaced it with a heavier duty unit.

This is real world testing! The cheap way that I see all over TH-cam is guys coating then using an all purpose cleaner over and over until they fail... Weather and sun aren't an APC. This is by far the most useful longevity test period!! Subscribed

Living in the Palm Springs area is similar to you where you are minus the rain. Car paint jobs definitely take a beating. This was very, very helpful. I'm blown away that any product, let alone several could last 2.5 years. Impressive! Thank you!
Your videos are really great. Your commitment to the tests for such a long time is even greater. The best thing I liked about is the Voice Over you've done. It gives you a more controlled & clearer voice presentation. Do this henceforth - it's good.

Taking my 2021 C-8 HTC Shadow Grey Metallic to Elite Detailing in Redlands CA for IGL Kenzo application on 01/17/22. Shopped a number of products and installers. Paying somewhat more than other products, but this test was the deciding factor. Thank you. I will report results when it comes home. Car has 6000 miles, mostly freeway.
I applied CQuartz UK to my car that I purchased new in 2019. It's still going strong today. Granted I do keep it garaged....it is a fantastic product and I will continue using it on my cars. I will note that they also sell Reload, which apparently refreshes it. I have not used it in over a year....
Would like to find out more about what happened with the nu finish problem. It’s cheap, easy to get and except for that one test exceeded expectations. This IS the best test of product on the internet and non sponsored which is probably why your vids aren’t “trending”. Lucky I found it.
Agreed. I've actually reached out to Reed Union (Nufinish manufacturer) and haven't heard back. But I will press harder. I have the original bottles from both tests still.

Have you considered doing a decontamination wash of the panel? Perhaps removing the pollen and other contamination on the panel may help rejuvenate some of the products. Even a mild acid product to help with water spots and other contaminants. Might be interesting.
That would be very interesting, especially if some come back or if others are killed. Nobody is doing such long term tests so a mild decontamination, a bit like Labocosmetica use on their coatings would be something I haven't seen done any where else.

Thanks for the video. Dedication. Did you use any maintenance or quick detailer sprays on these? From what ive been told you need to do maintenance on the coatings to last long time. or else they will fail. thanks.
@@ScottHD Yup, I was shocked as I am a big Carpro fan but they really need to redo Reload.. heck as many times as they have updated the formula I don't know what is stoppping them. I would have loved to see Armorshield iX in this test as so many claim its the top consumer bought coating.. I picked some up.

Can't be done yet! Need to do a decontamination on them. A lot of the time the coatings just get gummed up and just need a decon.

I live in Texas... I get 2 months tops out of Reload... Just switched to The Last Coat 2.. which I noticed right away is far easier to apply.
Yes and yes. Reload for some reason doesn't hold up in the summer months in Texas
