You need to change your durability score for Gyeon CanCoat. You have an error in there saying it is a “3” when it should be “10” I’ve actually used this on my parents vehicle and am going on 10-months and it looks very good still. Almost the same as the day I put it on. I actually was hoping it wouldn’t last as long as I like to try new products on their vehicle.
Bottom line: a $15 high-quality spray bottle product that you can top off every other wash by using it as a drying aid >>> $150 ceramic coatings. Right?
I use Griots products, clay bar with spray on wax, turns a rough surface smooth as glass. Do this once per year along with the annual wash, year later still beads. Have found washing is harder on paint surface than not washing, detergents and tap water are a paint surface enemy. Gives old Fred more time to fool around.

GTechniq holding it down! Not surprised. I Have CSL topped with ExoV4 and after 2 years it is still performing amazingly. To be fair CarPro reload is more designed to be used as an occasional topper to refresh a long-term coating underneath, I wouldn't use it as a stand alone protectant.
Yep. The new formula is excellent. Durability is pretty awesome compared to some of those really expensive brands. Goes to show, you don't have to spend big on those name brands to get great results. Turtle wax is very underrated.
I bought their matte paint coating kit in my Harley 2021’ and love how hydrophobic it is, but the matte paint itself I’m pretty sure is naturally that as well
I've got Crystal Serum Ultra on both of our cars and it's outstanding. I do apply Gyeon wet coat after each wash (about every 4~6 weeks) which is probably a bit overkill but MAN it's just so easy to apply 😃 Would love to see how wet coat actually holds up long term. Definitely going to be checking out the Gtechniq window stuff now.
You are the best!!! I know now what to buy! Very important tests on all protective products! To see is to believe! Big help for us all!!! Many many thanks!!! Video shared a topnotch compared to other detailer vlog!!! Congratulations!!! My snappy salute to you sir!!!!!
Hello Jason from Australia ;) I do enjoy your in the real world testing and have Gyeon Can Coat on my car with the exception of the bonnet/hood which I now have Adams Graphene spray coating due to me polishing the bonnet/hood after someone's cat had been sliding around on it..
Exactly my thoughts too. The Turtle wax will rival most of those used, not the fully blown ceramic coatings of course, but as a topper, they are high end in my opinion.
I used the turtle wax hybrid ceramic spray coating as a sealant after detailing my car last summer, it has easily lasted all year and its still working after 1 year. Picked up the hybrid solutions wash and wax to top it off a few months ago, and it boosted its effect back up to freshly detailed standards, between these two products i'm super duper happy and they are VERY cost efficient.
@@machucast I hope not. I have 7 bottles of the Ice seal and Shine (new formula-smells great too), one bottle of the Graphene Infused Flex Wax (yet to try), one bottle of the Precision Platelet One and Done Compound and The Max Wax, Graphene Liquid Wax. Also have 3 of the 75th Anniversary graphene infused paste wax tubs on the way. I also purchased the Ceramic Wet Wax and the Ceramic Spray Coating Wax. I am going to try these out on various parts of my daily to compare. I know they all will be great, of course, but want to see how the Graphene based ones hold up to the traditional SiO2 based products. Love the Turtle Wax presentation too. They have become a world class Company !
I'm sorry maybe I'm wrong but Gyeon CanCoat has scored 10-8-10 and a total score of 60.0 same TEC580 which has faded after 3 months... Something in this comparison was not correct. I use CanCoat almost on a daily base and it is imho one of the greatest product out there. Anyway I loved this comparison test. This was honest and represented the real world life of this protectants. Good Job!
I used to hate applying Collinite 845. Always landed up applying too much which makes it harder to wipe off. We now keep it in a tub in the freezer and apply it ice cold on the vehicle when it's still wet The easy of use and longevity of the product is awesome. Since you already have it in stock I would love to hear your thoughts after you test it my way
Jason, as always, thank you for the longer term reviews. I use TC as a QD after maintenance washes, couldn't be happier with the price vs durability, which was much longer than I thought possible for a spray on protectant. Slowly prepping some of my rides for ceramic coatings, glad CSL lives up to it's claims.
Tec582 monthly is the best performing product I've ever used... it takes 10 mins to do the whole car, and a $40 gallon can last you probably 5 years used that way... doesnt have the curing time like Beadmaker and is less finnicky to apply... I used to do the same thing with Megs Synthetic Xpress Wax which also worked great, but Tec582 is just a bit better
If you guy's want to try a old school product that works well, you should try WOODoc Penetrating wax, it was made to seal wood, rubber, painted surfaces, it adds a layer of protection just like a ceramic coating, beads off water and costs next to nothing compared to any other car product anywhere, It's the blue bottle out of the Woodoc range just make sure it says penetrating wax on the front of the bottle, try it out
Did you do a decon wash? Iron and tar massively mask the hydrophobic properties of a coating. Usually the properties come back after the panel has been decontaminated
I use Nu Finish. I don't wash my car often, nor is there much rain here in Arizona. So, for $8 bucks, it's not bad, and I get about 5 months before I see a need to re-apply.
Where my problem with tests like this is what you see with CQuartz and CSL. The absolute beating some panels take more than others. I’d be interested to see a vehicle with CQuartz and CSL pitted like this straight up. One half in CQuartz and the other side CSL. I’m also disappointed to not see TW Ceramic spray here. With two coats, it lasted 8 months of winter. I’m really impressed with it.
I’d like to see this more in depth. Variables of seasons, climates. Specifically with true coatings on one vehicle. Spray coatings on another. Not to be confused with spray sealants or protection. According to what the product advertises. The real time real world results are well done. Thank you Chicago Auto Pros for doing this. Would love to see a real time not sped up detail series. Various vehicles from various amount of grime done in a contest among the workers. Thank you Last thing, add IGL coatings too in there since that is becoming popular.
Hello you really get a great shine from buffing a car with something that I used meguiars 105 compound you are not going to get a great mirror shine from a car paint using any ceramic coating if you have orange peel in your clear coat I think alot of doy people think these products are going to do just that I wet sanded my car first a black q 60 coupe anf then buffed with the 105 it came out like looking into a mirror just my opinion thanks great video
Huh what you don't think what I said is true after buff a car then you put a coating on it it protect all the work you put into it but alot of cars come from the factory with orange peel in the clear because they don't want to spend the time and effort to correct it . Huh stupid answer
Oh boy, these new sprays may make life hard for us in the coming years. I bet there will be a once a year polish or wax, that you just spray on and let dry, you did a bang up job, Thanks a lot. BB
Looking forward to TW Seal N Shine, Flex Wax, and the Koch Chemie sealant! This is my favorite series as I've always wanted to find the best protection for the winters. I have been using Seal N Shine on my car for the last year now!
I am not a detailer. I am looking for a happy homeowner ceramic coating. I don't have a problem with cleaning ,clay baring the car/truck both white. It is confusing when looking at ceramic/graphene coatings. How can they warranty up to 10 years? what coating do you suggest for a someone who wants the longest protection possible?
You got a subscriber just for this!! Ive been looking for weeks trying to find ANYTHING that compares professional coats so i can pick what i want to use on my car
Great follow up. Liked your point system. Somewhat surprised by some products. I've started using Can Coat myself and have been very pleased with it. For as easy as it is to use, it seems to be fairly long lasting. I have my own tests going, since I need to see what works in my environment, but I can say I'm really liking the Poorboy's World coating. Inexpensive, nice looks, and it is still going on the durability side.
Gyeon Q2 Mohs only gave me about 3 months max when I applied it. That was after a decon, clay, & full correction. My 2 long distance runners are Sonax Polymer Netshield and Finish Kare 1000p (BWM 101). I get about 6 to 9 months durability on both in Northern NY. The PNS is good on all surfaces, although I wouldn't use on on the windshield (good on side glass though). The Finish Care you don't want to get on textured plastic, but it's excellent on the windshield. Excellent hydrophobicity, without any rainbow effects through the glass as I get with the PNS. My favorite all-time coating was Element 119, System-X from a decade ago. Got years out of it. Unbelievable sheeting action with no water spotting. There is a "new-er" version around but I've not tried it as they are a PITA to deal with nowadays and make you jump through hoops to purchase it.
So funny to hear Mohs lasted 3 months... Did you apply one layer? If 2 layers were done, how much you waited between each layer? Mohs is one of the greatest ceramic coatings out there, Ive been installing it for 5 yesrs now and this man also proves it.
Question about the GlassParency on the windshield - was it given the refresh every 3 months with the maintenance spray, or was this just purely on initial application?
Shouldn't the products that required a second coat be double the price per oz since you have use twice as much. Price per application is more important than price per oz.
Thank You Jason this was a great video Just getting ready to use ceramic slam I’ve seen on Apex Detailing and Miranda Detailing little goes a long way they recommend two sprays wipe on them wipe off. Love P&S bead maker . P&S showroom shine I’ve use also about 2 hours after applying bead maker . Again love the channel. I’m a weekend warrior guys . Thank you!!
Amen..... Lot's of very good, and extraordinarily expensive products our there. But, dollar for dollar, that stuff is a GREAT buy, and great product. For the longest time TW used to be a joke.....who would've "thunk" it.
Great video! If you’re doing another test, I’d love to see Griot Ceramic 3 in 1 wax included. I’ve been using it for about a month - it’s easy to use but not sure about durability
I applied Griots 3in1 to my Explorer last fall. First time using it. Went through one Midwest winter with occasional wash. Earlier this spring I did a full detail and I would say it was still holding up. Easily a 4-6 month product. I also agree application is very easy......and it smells good too.
Wow. Great video. A lot of us laymen/tourists do not know the real difference between these products. Packaging sells it. Excellent delivery and explanation. Well done. Thanks. Subscribed.
Congratulations! I mean it. You guys are the real deal and one of the Top 3 You Tube Detailing Channels. I do wish you would give The Last Coast V2 a chance in your next go round. Its good for at least 6 months. Its worth giving it a chance. I would love to see how it holds up with your sample group. Keep up the great work.
As much as it's pimped on youtube, Armor Shield IX has to be part of the next test. I have it on two cars and it was simple to apply, went a long way, and seems to be holding up well for two garage queens. Maybe even try the Gloss It stuff that Vin Wiki was pimping b/c they did a detail on his McLaren? I have the Gloss It quick detailer and it was surprisingly good. Left a very noticeable difference on the slickness on the car surface when I subsequently washed the car. Thanks for doing these tests! Bueno!
My only thought is whether each location the products were applied equal. The hood and roof are gunna see a lot more action. Whether it's from the weather elements or chemicals being sprayed onto the car.
Good comparison. I'll have to check out your other videos. I'm looking for a long-term wax / polish. { I'm a professional driver , getting my vehicle washed each day - more than 1 / day if need-be. }
CSL/EXO, CarPro UK 3.0, and most likely GlassParency’s Graphene First two are tried and tested coatings on the market, the last one is an upcoming company that has really promising results.
Mate are you serious..? You wanna apply something that lasts 2-3 years. Be realistic and expect 6 months to a year bro max nothing lasts that long it’s all bullshit

I bought their matte paint coating kit in my Harley 2021’ and love how hydrophobic it is, but the matte paint itself I’m pretty sure is naturally that as well
Overrated
Other TH-cam said same. It overrated like chemicals guy no hate
I've got Crystal Serum Ultra on both of our cars and it's outstanding. I do apply Gyeon wet coat after each wash (about every 4~6 weeks) which is probably a bit overkill but MAN it's just so easy to apply 😃
Would love to see how wet coat actually holds up long term. Definitely going to be checking out the Gtechniq window stuff now.
I've only ever done 1 layer of cquartz UK 3.0 and after 3yrs 30k miles and being taken care of it was still working like day 1
You are the best!!!
Would really like to see you test the Turtle wax hyrbid solutions
Exactly my thoughts too. The Turtle wax will rival most of those used, not the fully blown ceramic coatings of course, but as a topper, they are high end in my opinion.
I used the turtle wax hybrid ceramic spray coating as a sealant after detailing my car last summer, it has easily lasted all year and its still working after 1 year. Picked up the hybrid solutions wash and wax to top it off a few months ago, and it boosted its effect back up to freshly detailed standards, between these two products i'm super duper happy and they are VERY cost efficient.
@@machucast Haha, such a simple product too and it puts to shame most of the so called big brand names. Go Turtle Wax !!
@@tonymontana897 the proof is in the pudding, no doubt about it. Infact, i suspect it works so well, they might tone down its effectiveness lol.
Good Job!
Wow 6 months already... time flies
I said the same thing!
I used to hate applying Collinite 845. Always landed up applying too much which makes it harder to wipe off. We now keep it in a tub in the freezer and apply it ice cold on the vehicle when it's still wet The easy of use and longevity of the product is awesome. Since you already have it in stock I would love to hear your thoughts after you test it my way
Hands down quickest and best spray coatings is gyeon wet coat or can coat thank me later ✌🏼 from Australia 🇦🇺🐨🦘🐨🦘 p.s love the vids 🤟🏻
If you guy's want to try a old school product that works well, you should try WOODoc Penetrating wax, it was made to seal wood, rubber, painted surfaces, it adds a layer of protection just like a ceramic coating, beads off water and costs next to nothing compared to any other car product anywhere, It's the blue bottle out of the Woodoc range just make sure it says penetrating wax on the front of the bottle, try it out
Add a SONAX product to your next test. They make some dam good products.
Thanks Jason for this test and also having the balls to do it knowing it would upset some people and brands
Big balls! 😂
@@ChicagoAutoPros Jason No offence meant but I'll take your word on those balls 😂
Great way to show so many products at once . i really like your comments and ideas. enjoy watching your channel.
Thank you
Last thing, add IGL coatings too in there since that is becoming popular.
Fantastic! I love these kinds of side-by-side comparisons.... especially when there is long-term follow-up! I've now subscribed!
Huh?
Huh what you don't think what I said is true after buff a car then you put a coating on it it protect all the work you put into it but alot of cars come from the factory with orange peel in the clear because they don't want to spend the time and effort to correct it . Huh stupid answer
For an easy spray ceramic coating I highly highly recommend Black Rhino Topper. It has been phenomenal
Straight up ..... you say This Is NOT a sponsored video .
That's it you got me
can you do a video when yuo mix all the ceramic coatings up in one bottle and use it on the care see what happens
Oh boy, these new sprays may make life hard for us in the coming years. I bet there will be a once a year polish or wax, that you just spray on and let dry, you did a bang up job, Thanks a lot. BB
Thank you for all the time and Energy
I give my white Yukon in the background a 12 out of 10 lol.
Jason and team thank you sooo much for this comparison video. A true hero to detailing community.
Now that you mention it, I haven’t seen an F11 advertisement here on YT for about.....6 months.
I think they are closing down? Site gone, TH-cam channel gone.. And nothing updated on social media in 5 months
You got a subscriber just for this!! Ive been looking for weeks trying to find ANYTHING that compares professional coats so i can pick what i want to use on my car
Awesome! Welcome to the channel.
@@ChicagoAutoPros do you know anything about Holy Grail or Owners pride? 2 or the big ones near me use them and idk whats best
@@stahri2169 I haven’t used either of them.
What towels do you like to use for drying quick detail taking off wax coating an etc
I have a carpro ceramic coat, i use the reload spray to keep the coat topped up. 2 years on since the coat was applied still going strong.
I think of this whole point of these tests was to not boost them a second time so it's probably just the one time coding
Thank you!!
Turtle Wax hybrid ceramic is some tough stuff. Coated my daughter's car 1.7 years ago (multiple coats) and it's still holding up. Bizarre.
Crystal serum light is a 5 year coating. I would expect more from them. I have crystal serum black with EXO and after 3 years is holding up well
Good comparison. I'll have to check out your other videos. I'm looking for a long-term wax / polish.
{ I'm a professional driver , getting my vehicle washed each day - more than 1 / day if need-be. }
This is such perfect timing as I am looking for a ceramic that I can get 2-3 years out of. Are there any that you guys would recommend?
CSL
CSL/EXO, CarPro UK 3.0, and most likely GlassParency’s Graphene
First two are tried and tested coatings on the market, the last one is an upcoming company that has really promising results.
csl/exp if you don't want the extra step or spend the extra money just put on csl
Find an XPEL installer. XPEL Fusion Plus Ceramic Coating is amazing
Mate are you serious..? You wanna apply something that lasts 2-3 years. Be realistic and expect 6 months to a year bro max nothing lasts that long it’s all bullshit
Yup, this just confirms I'll stick with Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic
turtle wax paste best wax i’ve ever seen about to try the new ceramic 3n1 by them
Hard to beat TW seal & shine. Lasted 6 months for me on both paint & glass.
good summary Jason, much appreciated. Would be interested to see how AM Hybrid Sealant/Detailer works for you (got 4+ months here in Scotland over the winter), plus latest TW Graphene products, and perhaps Infinity Wax's Graphene too.
I have AM hybrid on for the next test.
D@mn good video! Just the facts! It takes a lot of courage and integrity to perform these tests!
I think that for most people, the Adam's Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating is the best. Let's see what round 2 offers.
Would like to see ceramic hybrid comparison..turtle wax, last coat, etc...
the only thing you need is ADBL Synthetic spray Wax, after that you need ceramic coatings if you want longer duration
Awesome video and thanks for doing this. Can you do the new Maguire's ceramic stuff?
Thanks for doing this! It saves people like me money on the products they don't need for the ones that give the best results
Jason,
For the Glass G1smart glass, is it true that it causes the wipers to chatter when you are using them? Im debating on whether or not to buy it. Thanks
It can with certain vehicles. I’ve never had it happen to any of my vehicles, but I have heard it happening to some.
Hey Jason can we see an updated version of this with some of the new contenders out on the market? Such as defenser by P&S the diamond protech line, and some phoenix eod stuff snd etc?
