You should have called this video ‘the lazy man’s way to check the valve clearances’… take the fairings off dude ! The way you are doing this valve check will not give you accurate results… the fairing removal will take you around 15 minutes… when doing valve clearances you need to have the crankshaft in exactly the correct position which you cannot do without removing the crank end cap
Hello, I'm from Thailand. I have a hayabusa car, year 11, want to inquire how many mile of the hayabusa car have to set the valve. Because it is very difficult to find the valve shim, there is no need to set the valve, thank you.
@@bryanlarrimer138 I consulted with the mechanic, he said that the hayabusa is a rough car, no need to set the valve. So I sent that It is not necessary to set the valve. And change valve shim Because if changing the valve shim Must order in Japan
@@ปรีชาปัญญานิพนธ์ He is incorrect the clearance should always be checked at millage recommended by Suzuki . Secondly a car applys more weight , and abuse on the motor designed for a motorcycle that is lighter with less friction on the the ground . Hayabusa shims are common in many motorcycle being 9.48 mm OD . The Kawasaki ZX11 , ZRX , and ZZR all use this size too . Honda CR450 . Use a different mechanic that not scared to check valves , and set as needed . Hot Cams can provide shim kits at fractions of Japan
