Sometimes this problem occurs also because of Steam's very servers. So this can be a matter of time till it gets solved. Otherwise, you can uninstall your Network adapter as well in Device Manager. After uninstalling it, just go to Action Tab then click on Scan for Hardware Changes, which will reinstall your drivers automatically. Hope this helps
It's actually not a connection or internet issue. It's actually slow writing of the data to your disc thats bottlenecking the download. I noticed that the green line (disc writing speed) in steam download always goes down first and then the download speed itself. HERE IS THE FIX: Just disable Disk Write Caching. Right click C drive in computer > properties > hardware > select drive ur drive > click on properties > volume tab > click on populate > policies tab > uncheck all > restart PC > BINGO
@@sanko_ IDK how you discovered how to do this or how it will affect the rest of my PC, but thank you so much! My download was seriously fluctuating between 200/mbs and 800/mbs. My only solution before was restarting steam, waiting for download to crap out, restarting steam. Did this and instantly downloaded the 75% I still had left to download. You are the real MVP, and I feel like this solution should be much more well known! Thank you so much!
This worked flawlessly. Went from steam downloading up and down with like 20 mb/s back down to 0 and it was horrible. The moment I changed this it shot straight up to 40 mb/s and very stable. Thanks!!!@@sanko_
