I'm looking forward for the ricefish breeding plans! I like the idea of choosing rare or exotic types of ricefish. This is because keeping common types is just the same with rare and exotic types. Same effort to be exerted and maintenance, it's just that the price may differ.

I am completely fascinated by medaka. They aren’t easy to find here in the states. But I finally got some back in February. Only 7 but it’s a start. I made my diy spawning mop like yours and I checked it last night and there are eggs! I really excited about it. Can’t wait to see if I can raise them up

This was GREAT! I think the platinum white are my favorite. I also like the red capped ones. I love them all. I will be trying again quite soon! I DO love your backyard, Ryo. But I do agree that the weeds are - annoying? lol. Go ahead and try that homemade weed killer (a gallon of white vinegar, one cup of salt, and one tablespoon of dish soap.) Spray it on your path, and the weeds you hate. It will make your life easier? But I love the lushness of the garden. It is a beautiful escape. You will tame it, and get it where you want it to be. 😉

Hello Ryo, really cool medaka video again! I would love to observe some experimenting with breeding different types of medaka. Also I am wondering is growing lotus plants a thing in Japan? Is it a good idea to have a lotus in medaka setup? Medaka fish is one of my favorite, maybe it is the oldest small fish being raised as a pet, and thats why it is so tame and not trying to hide.

I would like very much to have a medaka patio pond but medaka are expensive in midwest America. There are things that help with green water. Check with your fish stores that sell koi. Floating a mesh bag of barley straw (not mugi-cha) helps pretty well. But best to check with pond fish experts. I would like to see you raise the koi medaka and the blue or platinum medaka.
