- This video shows how to add a SATA hard drive into internal of HP ThinClient T510. Also shows how to replace 2G memory module.
HP Thinclient T510 only consumes about 10 watt power when using Embedded Windows XP. ( i.postimg.cc/pr17vP04/IMG-229... )
It has dual core cpu with 2GB ram and 2GB flash memory as hard drive ,by default. But you can upgrade RAM to 4GB and add an extra SATA hard drive in.
In this video, I am putting in a 120GB SSD as internal storage. Later, I am going to put Windows 10 into it.

I've got two of these. One of them I'm using as an OpenVPN server, and the other one I have installed Windows XP Embedded on. I would like to use it to play retro games on the XP one, but I can't find the correct display drivers so it just runs in VESA mode (Microsoft Basic Display Adapter). Please would you share a link where I can find the correct video driver?

После апгрейда имеем на борту 4 гигабайт ОЗУ и два жёстких диска (ide и sata). На ide система win7x64 embedded, на sata торренты и файл подкачки вначале диска.

How did you boot from the sata drive? My bios shows sata as secondary drive but it only boots from usb or primary ide flash!
It should be automatically booting from your sata hard drive if your windows installation completed. Not sure why your machine can't . Have you tried different windows version, 7, or 10, 32b, or 64b?
I've read that some guys experienced issues with network adapter after they'd connected ssd using msata. How is your rig doing?

Is there a heat problem on the ssd? because I see there is not too much space and it sticks directly to the heatsink
SSD heat is not a problem at all. No need to worry it.

Is there any way to overclock the speed of the 1Ghz cpu or voltage/wattage of this hp t510 ( VIA Eden X2 U4200 (dual core)
That I do not know. Let me know if you find a way. But even you overclocked it, that wont make much difference on this machine.

Ram can be upgrade to 8GB. T620 is more powerful.

ssd port is same as hdd port.

I believe it has enough space for a 2.5 inch hard drive. As video shows, 2.5 inch SSD is fine. But 3.5 probably is too big for it

Why ddr3L? ddr3 1,5v doesnt work? 533*2=1066Mhz - its limit for this machine

Try using amazon.ca and search SATA 22 Pin Power and Data Extension cable . You should be able to find some.
can the processor be swap from amd radeon to ryzen 3?
It might be a way, but not seems to be a easy work. It has been soldered on Motherboard.
What is your SSD brand's? Because I use HDD can read on bios. But if I use SSD Eyota brand's can't read.

I inserted a Samsung Evo SSD 250GB but it won't be recognized in the bios. I tried with cable and direct connection. Any ideas?

Will 8gb ddr3l 1600 work?
No. The maximum seems to be 4GB SODIMM 1033MHz/1600MHz.

@@TomSP9TL SODIMM DDR3L Memory. My T510 is now serving as a home media server / storage device with a hooked up external HDD/SSD array.
It will work, same applies to T610(+), specs says it is max 8GB but it works with 16GB non probs
DDR3 SODIMM 8Gb 1.5V works well on my HP T510

are u installing from USB? What kind of system are you trying to install? Windows?
