    Great vid, good quality guys!
    Few things I noticed...
    -the hub nut and ball joint are not necessary to remove..though I guess it helps to wrestle the strut out of the lower control arm. Just the saw bar.
    -You can tell which part of the upper strut assembly faces in (towards the engine), its the side with the two 'nubs'. And the lower part has a single notch that fits in a notch as well.
    -The bolt on the lower strut area can be bolted through the opposite side, against a screwdriver or metal plate to spread the strut housing if you dont feel like 'hammering a wedge' up in there.
    I've done this on a few of my cars..about to do it on my FoST finally. So its good to see different ways others use to make it easier if the ways I've seen don't go so easily!
    Bought these exact springs for my '16...can't wait to experience better handling!

      Also...is it advised to put in adjustable sway bar end links if you upgrade the sway bar?

      Think this can be done using jack stands or do I need a lift?

      @@cptnscoob I did mine in my driveway. Jack and Jackstands. Just watch a few vids, pretty simple. Hardest part is compressing the factory springs. Most parts stores rent them cheap or free with a deposit.

      @@dham99 Adjustable sway bars ae advised if you lower the car. Reason being is to keep oem geometry of the sway bar.

      @@dham99 Yes. Absolutely yes. The stock end links are designed to mate with the stock sway bar. Definitely should upgrade the end links with the sway bar.

    This looks so easy but I know I’d take 3 days to do this 😂 all I can do mechanically is change oil and jump a battery😂

    I HAVE A FOCUS ST WITH SPACERS IN THE REAR WHEELS OF 25MM, I WANT TO PUT THESE SPRINGS, MY DOUBT IS: ARE THEY GOING TO STICK OR ROZE MY RIMS WITH THE BODY?

    • @stage3motorsports
      @stage3motorsports  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      We had the same setup on this ST as well. We ran these H&R Sport Springs with 20mm spacers in front, and 25mm spacers in the rear on stock wheels. Our car had no rubbing on that setup.

    What is the front and rear drop on this car. It sits exactly how I'd want mine sitting. Been looking at springs too long now, trying to make the right decision.

      Here is the suspension and braking section of our Focus ST build page. We went with H&R Sport lowering springs. Couldn't be happier with the amount of drop and handling characteristics they provided. - www.stage3motorsports.com/Suspension-Brakes_c_4095.html

    Love the video! Do you need to worry about the stock dampers not lasting now that the car is lowered? I'm thinking of buying the same springs but the dampers needing to be replaced are my only concern. Thanks!

    • @stage3motorsports
      @stage3motorsports  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Our stock dampers didn't feel maxed out with the H&R springs, we never experienced them bottoming out or anything. I'd say just run the stockers until they do wear out and upgrade then :)

    You had way to many unnecessary steps. If you pull the cowl vent covers, you could pulle the cowl and the lower panel once the wiper arms are removed. No need to pull the tie rod or axle. Just the end link and brake line bracket. Good video though.

    • @cptnscoob
      @cptnscoob 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Think this could be done entirely on jack stands?

    • @timschnaufer6498
      @timschnaufer6498 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Without a doubt. I just pulled the coilovers out of my car. Car was on 4 jack stands start to finish.
