Amazing how her recall improves when it’s a topic that helps her defence. She’s lying through her teeth.

Listening in on calls without telling people she was there - says it all.

It is so galling watching her afforded many years of ‘reflection’ and now publicly able to pontificate about her recollection of events. She’s minted, dripping in wealth. Her colleagues too. All the while there are postmasters being offered pitiful amounts of compensation that take years to be calculated. Vennells and her team should be in prison. Post masters deserves millions EACH in compensation.

in my opoinion she put so many into prison when she knew they were not guilty so she should get life in prison for her actions as some even died as a direct result of her actions.........but hey its the UK so she will very likely get off as white collar crime is always rewarded.

Life in prison it definitely won't be but some kind of custodial sentence followed by ALOT of hours of community service but most important of all 'proceeds of crimes' act should be applied.
I'm sure she and others made LoTS of money doing this job, all while ruining peoples lives.
      She should lose her assets.

I hope Mr Henry or Miss Paige, Mr Stein and Mr Mahoney are given ample time to cross-examine her in their own aggresive style. Also, would love for Susan Crichton to be recalled, her "memory" may be clearer after listening to this woman's calculated evidence to implicate her. Alice Perkins sounds like a real piece of work, she seems to have been protected in the public forum. No suprise really being Jack Straw's wife!

From the outset of her 'evidence', yesterday, it is obvious that the approach Ms Vennells is taking is to suggest that she was not provided with the information she needed to act decisively. The thorn in this argument is SUSAN CRICHTON, whose evidence we heard earlier. Her deliberate exclusion from decision-making meetings, as a "legally-qualified" person, makes Vennells constant protests that she "isn't legally trained", a bit hollow. As Jason Beer, KC, suggests, "If you lacked legal training, why not invite in the person who was qualified, but sitting outside the door?" This is an incompetent woman (possibly a DEI appointment: as she would have been under WELBY, had she become Bishop of London. He probably had her in mind for York or Canterbury!). Did anyone else hear her describe the 'purpose' of a Company, as beibng "risk management"? Really? Heaven help us!

All the public money it's cost on court fees , lawyer's ect in 2013. Should have been paid to all the subpostmasters for injustice.
11 years later on after this document was made. Thousand more £££s spent of public money and still no compensation for subpostmasters. Who are still suffering injustice.

Someone should ask: ‘Yesterday, Mr Beer questioned whether the SS interim report could possibly prove there were no systemic issues. You agreed with him that it could not because it is not possible to draw secure conclusuions about a whole system based on two or three examples. You agreed with Mr Beer that the very idea was ridiculous. Why, then, only two days after first reading that report, did you send an email saying that the interim report *proved* that there were no systemic issues in Horizon?’
